STACKED’s take
Stafford's leadership role expands as Rams face injury crisis with Adams out 6-10 weeks.
Stafford, an 18th-year pro and reigning NFL MVP, emphasized his expanded leadership role amid the Rams' injury crisis. With key offensive weapons sidelined—Davante Adams (hamstring, 6-10 weeks out), Kobie Turner (groin, IR), Poona Ford (ruptured triceps, season-ending)—Stafford stated his role "becomes even more important as a leader, as somebody that can try and help steady the ship." He indicated he would lead by example and through decision-making adjustments: "Sometimes that's having a conversation with a guy. Other times that's checking the ball down and not forcing one." Stafford has 11 TDs and 6 INTs on a 2-4 team facing the Raiders, Chargers, Commanders, and Cardinals before the bye.
