Blogging The Boys on Tanner McKee

McKee's first start: 26-of-45, 215 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT; offense needs simplification.

Stepping into the starting role for the Eagles after Hurts' season-ending injury; completed 26 of 45 passes for 215 yards and one touchdown without an interception in his first start against Carolina (Week 6), a 25-14 loss where the Eagles managed only 222 net yards and struggled to generate consistent momentum. The source notes McKee has shown flashes in limited NFL opportunities and deserves time to settle, but the Eagles will likely need to simplify the offense, protect him better, and create more manageable down-and-distance situations given he is a different type of quarterback than Hurts.
