Daniels' development tied to Blough's play-calling execution; Quinn expects more explosiveness as QB gets reps.

Jayden Daniels is the Commanders' starting QB under center; offensive coordinator David Blough has a sterling reputation with him and several big-name coaches across the NFL, though Blough's rapid ascent from assistant quarterbacks coach to play-caller in his first big coaching gig shows in execution issues. Head coach Dan Quinn emphasized the importance of taking care of the football and noted that as Daniels gets more reps, the offense can get into better flow and generate more explosive plays.
