Yahoo Fantasy Football on Carnell Tate

Tate's WR31 ranking and 8.3 targets per game make him a Round 1 hit long-term.

Week 6 was Tate's best film of the year, featuring a jump ball where he perfectly timed a high-point grab with full extension in traffic, an out route TD, and a toe-tapping scramble drill first down. Some of his plays are a bit too out of structure to fully trust, but Tate is the WR31 on WR26 usage this month on WR19 targets per game (8.3). Cam Ward's inaccuracies and the Titans' lowly team totals put a lid on his ultimate ceiling as a fantasy WR3. For Titans fans, Tate is looking like a Round 1 hit as the long-term top target. He can be used all across the formation.
