Purdy's MVP case continues against Falcons despite tougher defensive matchup.

Purdy is positioned to pad his MVP case in Week 7 against the Falcons; he thrived in the first half against Washington (three touchdowns on five drives with Evans, Kittle, and McCaffrey clicking), though the 49ers' passing game will face a tougher matchup against Atlanta's ninth-ranked EPA per play pass defense and elite run defense, potentially requiring Purdy to extend plays and create magic.
