The Colts fired GM Chris Ballard last week, which means a fire sale could be coming. One of the players who will certainly be on the block is Jonathan Taylor. If Taylor is indeed traded, McGowan should take over as the RB1 in Indy.

McGowan could become Colts RB1 if Taylor is traded post-Ballard firing.

With the Colts firing GM Chris Ballard, a fire sale is likely coming, and Jonathan Taylor could be traded. If Taylor is dealt, McGowan should take over as the RB1 in Indianapolis. The add is valuable because McGowan likely won't require significant FAAB or a premium waiver claim.
