Full apologies from me... But he looks good. He looks good... if he's going to play free and just like essentially be a pitcher back there where he's like crow hopping into throws and just like letting it go, he's going to be awesome.
STACKED’s take
Crow-hopping into throws; looks awesome if he plays free.
Ron Stewart offers a full apology for underestimating JJ McCarthy, noting that while he was not sold on McCarthy initially (having drafted Justin Jefferson in the first round), McCarthy looks good and is performing well against a strong Texans defense. McCarthy is showing poise under pressure, throwing accurately on the move and letting it rip downfield; Stewart notes he "crow hops into throws" and executes 30-yard completions while evading pressure, similar to his performance against the Saints. Against a strong Texans defense, McCarthy "looks good" and if he continues to play free and aggressive, "he's going to be awesome," though Stewart acknowledges "the fairy dust runs out at a certain point."
