Goff threw 32 passes with just one sack; Lions' plan neutralized Van Ness.

Jared Goff benefited from the Lions' game plan against the Packers' depleted defense; he threw 32 passes and was sacked only once (by Van Ness). The Lions were more willing to pass when Van Ness was off the field, indicating the game plan successfully neutralized the Packers' best pass rusher.
