rookie No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza is the name waiting in the wings. My take: Cousins is still a fine streaming QB2 while he holds the job, since he has 240-plus passing yards in six of seven games. But Mendoza is the stash in deeper leagues: if Kubiak makes the change, the rookie inherits Brock Bowers and a pass-leaning script overnight.

Mendoza is a deep-league stash; inherits Bowers and pass-heavy script if promoted.

Fernando Mendoza, the rookie No. 1 overall pick, is waiting in the wings for the Raiders as Kirk Cousins struggles through a fourth straight loss. The source identifies Mendoza as the stash in deeper leagues: if Kubiak makes the change, the rookie inherits Brock Bowers and a pass-leaning script overnight.
