Goff's elite play-action process and coverage calibration make him exceptional in disguised-look situations.

Goff's elite play-action process centers on his ability to take in pre-snap information, know where his eyes need to go, and calibrate quickly when defenses disguise coverages post-snap. Lions offensive coordinator Drew Petzing credits Goff's high-level execution of turning his back to the defense and making proper decisions almost every time as a main reason for his excellence in the play-action game.
