Yahoo Sports NFL on Darnell Mooney

Mooney involved in jet sweep, route clearing, and deep shot opportunities.

Mooney was involved in multiple plays in the Giants' offense. He ran a jet sweep on a crucial fourth-and-short conversion at the Houston 47 yard line. He also cleared space on a dig route to Nabers in Q2 at 6:52 with vertical routes vs. Cover-4. In a bonus play, McCarthy recognized a lapse in coverage and gave Mooney a chance from the far hash to make a play, with the source noting Mooney is open a lot and securing footballs like this would be an excellent start.
