From the video
Antonio Williams, this is a rookie wide receiver that I wasn't too intrigued with in weeks four, five, or six... Terry McLaren out for the season is now going to be pushing him into being an every down player effectively rest of season... they called out Antonio Williams by name saying that they are going to be expecting more from him going into the future.
STACKED’s take
Commanders WR elevated to every-down role after McLaren injury
Rookie WR who was not intriguing in weeks 4-6 despite Stefon Diggs and Terry McLaren being banged up. However, with McLaren now out for the season, Williams is being pushed into an every-down player role for the remainder of the season. The Commanders coaching staff called out Antonio Williams by name as the player expected to receive increased opportunities following McLaren's season-ending injury, positioning him as the primary beneficiary of the target distribution shift. Unlike typical rookie WRs without round 1 draft capital, the source normally waits for a breakout before buying in; however, Williams may not allow that luxury due to the sudden opportunity created by McLaren's injury, forcing earlier trust and deployment.
