Video: Week 8 Waiver Wire has Rookie Breakouts
I am going to put in a bid for Seth McGawan... Seth McGowan plays 34% of the snaps this past week, which is the most that he has seen all season... Seth McGawan is actually a player now at this point that you have to assume that he is live to be a starting running back... he weighs 223 lbs... imagine Olly Gordon slightly less talented but a little bit of a better receiver if Jonathan Taylor does end up getting traded.

Colts RB sleeper with 34% snap share; breakout if Taylor traded

Waiver wire pickup recommendation with significant upside if Jonathan Taylor is traded. McGawan played 34% of snaps this past week (season high and career high for the rookie), up from lower usage earlier in the season. Profile: 223 lbs, 4.49 forty-yard dash, capable receiving back (32 carries, 5 targets this season; 9.7% target share at Kentucky); seventh-round draft pick (pick ~250) with traits to handle a three-down workload. Comparable to Olly Gordon but slightly less talented and a better receiver. Live to be a starting running back for the Colts if Taylor trade materializes.
