From the episode

He was fine. I thought that he was okay... he can throw the ball really well down the field... he didn't throw the middle of the field and I think that that's really going to be like what is going to change my mind... he's not a creative thrower when it comes to like doing things on the move. He doesn't have a lot of clubs in the bag... he's kind of a one speed, one trajectory thrower and it's beautiful when he's able to do that stuff in rhythm, but when he's pushed off of it, you feel the cracks a little bit.

Penix adequate in well-schemed game; limitations exposed when pushed off rhythm.

Penix was 'fine' and 'okay' in the Falcons' 45-24 win over the Saints; the source noted he can throw the ball really well down the field and benefits from the Falcons' scheme, but has clear limitations: he doesn't throw the middle of the field effectively, lacks creativity on the move, has limited improvisation tools, and is a one-speed, one-trajectory thrower who struggles when pushed off rhythm. The source emphasized this was a 'well-called Michael Penix game' where the offense schemed around his strengths (play action, downfield throws in rhythm) rather than exposing his weaknesses.
