Cat Scratch Reader on Josh Jacobs

Jacobs returns from suspension with 36 yards on 11 carries; career 74.0 YPG average vs weak Packers rushing attack.

Josh Jacobs, a three-time Pro Bowler, returned last week from a six-game suspension and had 11 carries for just 36 yards in his first game back. Over his seven-year career, Jacobs has averaged 74.0 rushing yards per game. The Packers enter as the least productive rushing team in the NFL at 59.9 yards per game, but the Panthers run defense will need to hold Jacobs well below his career average to keep Green Bay's offense one-dimensional. His return and potential ramp-up in usage presents a key matchup against Carolina's run defense.
