Brown's recent struggles are variance; top-10 metrics and easy schedule support regression.

Brown has underperformed the last two weeks (Week 6 drops, Week 7 three receptions for 48 yards) but film review shows he was getting open fine with solid quarterback play—it was simply variance. Since returning from high ankle sprain, Brown has led the Patriots in route share, target share, air yards share, and first-read targets, with nearly all metrics ranking in the top 10 in the NFL. With Romeo Doubs on IR and limited receiving options, Brown should command plenty of target volume. The Patriots receivers have the sixth-easiest strength of schedule from Weeks 8–14, setting up positive regression for the top receiver of one of the NFL's best quarterbacks.
