Marks saw heavy snaps and routes but Montgomery got the high-value red zone touches.

Woody Marks played significant snaps and ran a ton of routes in Week 1 against Buffalo, but David Montgomery captured the high-value touches and red zone work. This usage split suggests Marks has a role in the Saints backfield but is not the primary target for touchdown opportunities or goal-line carries.
