Brooks has always been the most interesting to me because they're clearly comfortable with him in the passing game. They have been for multiple years. He is a bigger back. You would think that he could handle volume. And they've never, ever given him an opportunity to have any level of volume or to get any rhythm at all in the run game.

Brooks most interesting Packers RB but never given volume; passing-game role only

Brooks is the third-string Packers RB who took over by overtime in Week 2 after two other backs fumbled. Behrens finds him the most interesting of the three Packers backs because Green Bay is clearly comfortable with him in the passing game (multi-year pattern), and he's a bigger back who could theoretically handle volume. However, the team has never given him early-down opportunities or rhythm in the run game, which Behrens finds baffling given the league trend toward bell-cow usage. Neither Andy Behrens ranks any Packers RB as a must-start.
