Amon-Ra St. Brown

PositiveValue57:22

Andy Behrens has Amon-Ra St. Brown at $7,900, stating he is tired of ignoring him and tired of pretending he is not easily the greatest option on the Lions pass-catching corps, tight end included.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

PositiveRole34:00

Behrens mentions that with the Cooper Rush offense, Bijan Robinson was a player you wanted in lineups, suggesting he was a preferred option in that scheme. Now that Penix is back, the Falcons' offensive approach may shift, but Robinson was a reliable target under Rush.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveRole7:20

Brock Bowers is finally practicing after injury; the Raiders have been signaling Week 3 as the target return week, suggesting he may be available for lineup consideration.

Insight page

Bryce Young

PositiveProjection24:00

Behrens highlights a fundamental shift in Carolina's offensive approach: they're now leaning into passing volume with Young rather than running-heavy schemes that masked his limitations. With Jonathan Brooks out and Chuba Hubbard as the only healthy RB, the offense is committed to explosive passing. Young has shown improved mental processing and understanding of defenses compared to his rookie year, and the team has added playmakers (Tedron McMillan, Jalen Coker). Consensus had him at QB26-28 preseason; Behrens is pushing him into QB5 territory, though he ranks him QB13 this week due to established veteran competition above him.

Insight page

Cam Sutton

PositiveRole9:15

Andy Behrens indicates Cam Sutton (referred to as 'Cam Scadaboo') will be in most lineups for Week 3, suggesting he remains a reliable play despite the Giants' quarterback change.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

NegativeValue57:57

Andy Behrens has CeeDee Lamb at $7,800 in Week 3, noting he does not love the matchup but it is fine; he was pleased to see Dallas look more comfortable as an offense last week after Week 1 was very scary for anyone with these guys in redraft.

Insight page

Chris Brooks

NegativeRole37:00

Brooks is the third-string Packers RB who took over by overtime in Week 2 after two other backs fumbled. Behrens finds him the most interesting of the three Packers backs because Green Bay is clearly comfortable with him in the passing game (multi-year pattern), and he's a bigger back who could theoretically handle volume. However, the team has never given him early-down opportunities or rhythm in the run game, which Behrens finds baffling given the league trend toward bell-cow usage. Neither Andy Behrens ranks any Packers RB as a must-start.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveRole41:00

Behrens states that Christian Watson is a must-start regardless of circumstances. He's the clear top receiving option for the Packers despite the offensive line issues and is usable in Week 3 against the Falcons.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

NegativeProjection6:43

Andy Behrens was not particularly kind to Colston Loveland in his Week 3 rankings due to the Bears starting Case Keenum instead of Caleb Williams, suggesting a downgrade in projection for the tight end.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

NegativeInjury6:46

Did a limited practice on Wednesday with a shoulder/neck injury. Andy Behrens indicated that Moore might get into the rankings after today or tomorrow once more practice information becomes available.

Insight page
PositiveRole6:55

Andy Behrens states he will use DJ Moore if he's active despite Wednesday practice absence, signaling confidence in his Week 3 availability and lineup inclusion.

Insight page

Dalton Schultz

PositiveValue54:29

Andy Behrens has Dalton Schultz at $4,200 in Week 3, noting he learned his lesson after mocking Schultz last week at $4,200 when the algorithm couldn't catch up to his value; Behrens references film review showing seven catches on the final drive against Cincinnati, suggesting the Texans will continue to target him heavily.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

NegativeProjection32:00

Boston is WR10 on the season but Behrens ranks him WR27 this week and is cautious about starting him. He notes that Boston had training camp buzz as a top receiver, but the actual production has been inconsistent—Casey Concepcion gets early-game volume while Boston's targets come later. Boston dropped a potential touchdown in Week 2. Behrens wants to see another game of proof before fully committing.

Insight page

Deshaun Watson

NegativeProjection29:18

Behrens ranks Watson QB28 and is not buying the QB12 season ranking. He questions the Browns' decision to keep using Watson given the contract disaster risk, though he acknowledges Watson has playmakers (Denzel Boston, Casey Concepcion, Harold Fannin) and the offense is willing to lean on passing. Watson didn't look like his former self in Week 2 but is beginning to process better.

Insight page

Drake London

PositiveProjection33:30

London was drafted as a fantasy WR1 in the second round with the thesis that Michael Penix Jr. would be the QB, but he's fallen to WR52 entering Week 3 due to Cooper Rush's poor play. Now that Penix is back (pending knee status), Behrens is more confident. He notes Penix supported London well through much of last season, and with the Cooper Rush offense finally over, London should be in lineups. Behrens ranks him WR13 (lower than preseason due to Chris Olave and Parker Washington establishing themselves), while the other Andy Behrens has him at WR10.

Insight page

Drew Lock

NegativeProjection50:36

Andy Behrens has Drew Locke at $5,200 in his Week 3 DFS lineup against Washington, acknowledging it feels gross but noting he can pivot to Sam Darnold if needed since they are only $200 apart in salary.

Insight page

Emanuel Wilson

PositiveValue5:07

Andy Behrens identified Emmanuel Wilson as one of the waiver adds of the week, specifically as an insurance policy for Judarian Price owners.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

PositiveRole9:00

Andy Behrens indicates he is still using Isaiah Likely in lineups for Week 3 despite the Giants starting Jameis Winston at quarterback instead of the injured Jackson Dart, suggesting confidence in his production.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeInjury5:17

Listed as limited in Wednesday's practice with a hamstring issue, but the Broncos clarified that Dobbins only suffered cramps (not a hamstring injury) against Jacksonville, suggesting the injury concern may be overstated.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeInjury4:42

Listed as limited in Wednesday's practice with a chest injury that was later reported as a shoulder injury. Andy Behrens recommended having Emmanuel Wilson as an insurance policy if you own Price.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveValue59:20

Jake Trowbridge has Jalen Coker at $5,500 in his Week 3 DFS lineup, noting the algorithm has not caught up to his value and expecting him to be widely owned.

Insight page

Jayden Reed

NegativeInjury43:00

Reed is out for the Packers in Week 3. Sky Moore is expected to run Reed's routes, but Behrens is not interested in Moore as a fantasy option as a replacement.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

NegativeInjury5:30

Andy Behrens had listed Jonah Coleman as the top running back option of the week off waivers, but Coleman didn't practice at all on Wednesday due to an ankle injury, creating uncertainty about his availability.

Insight page

Jordan Love

NegativeProjection41:00

Behrens notes that the Packers' offensive line has been 'such an absolute mess,' which makes it hard to trust Jordan Love. The line issues are so severe that they're a major concern for Love's fantasy viability in Week 3.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveValue51:58

Andy Behrens stacks Justin Herbert at $5,800 with Ladd McConkey at $5,900 as a counterintuitive play, reasoning that the Bills defense is not very good and the Chargers could easily get into a high-scoring game; Herbert is ranked around 12th in Behrens' weekly ranks but is the cheapest he has been this season due to poor early performance.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveValue56:28

Jake Trowbridge has Kenneth Walker at $7,400 as a top-five running back in all formats for Week 3; he notes the Dolphins are the cheapest defense facing him and jokes that he has planted the message in the Dolphins locker room to allow Walker to score three touchdowns.

Insight page

Keon Coleman

NegativeBust6:46

Despite good production last Thursday against the Lions, Andy Behrens did not list Keon Coleman as a waiver add because he didn't believe the production was sustainable. Coleman didn't practice at all on Wednesday, adding to concerns.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeRole36:00

Behrens sat Kyle Pitts in Week 2 everywhere he could and describes the situation as a 'skill issue,' indicating he has no confidence in Pitts' role or production in the Falcons offense under Cooper Rush. Now that Penix is back, the situation may improve, but Behrens' Week 2 benching reflects deep skepticism.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

PositiveValue51:58

Andy Behrens pairs Ladd McConkey at $5,900 with Justin Herbert in a counterintuitive stack, betting on a high-scoring game between the Chargers and Bills despite the Bills defense being weak.

Insight page

Luther Burden

NegativeProjection6:43

Andy Behrens ranks Luther Burden 34th among receivers for Week 3 with Case Keenum starting at quarterback for the Bears instead of Caleb Williams, indicating a significant downgrade in projection due to the backup quarterback situation.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

PositiveRole9:00

Andy Behrens indicates he is still using Malik Nabers in lineups for Week 3 despite the Giants starting Jameis Winston at quarterback instead of the injured Jackson Dart, suggesting confidence in his production.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeProjection39:00

Lloyd was a complete write-off by the organization and fantasy community, but when he returned healthy, fantasy players overcorrected and pushed him up the board expecting him to be the back he was drafted as two years ago. Behrens notes that the Caleb Johnson trade was initially seen as a sign the Packers believed in Lloyd, but two games in, it looks like the opposite—the team is stuck with Lloyd as their top back and needed to add another option (Johnson). Lloyd is not ranked in Behrens' top 40 this week.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveUsage41:00

Golden falls into a category where the Packers don't have a clear plan for him early in games, but when they fall behind, he gets a bunch of targets to help catch up. He could have had a bigger game in Week 2 but is usable in Week 3 against the Falcons, especially if the game script favors passing.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeInjury5:30

Didn't practice on Wednesday. Sean McVay stated he isn't sure about Puka playing in Week 3. Andy Behrens interpreted this coach speak to mean Puka is not playing in Week 3, a Sunday night game.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

NegativeProjection29:18

Behrens ranks Judkins RB24, lower than Football Guys consensus (RB17), because he hasn't shown any level of efficiency despite Carolina's early-season passing volume. The consensus may be overweighting Carolina's Week 1 ground production, but Judkins hasn't demonstrated the efficiency metrics to justify a higher ranking.

Insight page
PositiveValue55:02

Andy Behrens has Quinchon Judkins at $5,500 against Carolina, noting he has not been a huge fan but Judkins started catching passes and the price seems reasonable; Behrens describes this as a stupid pick but Jake Trowbridge agrees, saying they found a creative way around having Judkins dash his body against the rocks by using him as a pass-catcher with delayed screens.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeProjection22:15

Ranked WR26 on the season; Andy Behrens loves the matchup against Miami and expects touchdowns, but acknowledges the ranking feels inflated by early-season flukes. Notes that Rice's WR26 finish may not be sustainable week-to-week given the volatility of receiver production across NFL offenses.

Insight page

Rashod Bateman

PositiveValue6:31

Andy Behrens identified Rashad Bateman as the one-to-one replacement for Zay Flowers in deeper leagues if Flowers remains unavailable, making him a target for waiver pickups.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

NegativeRole55:57

Jake Trowbridge notes that Ramondre Stevenson fumbled and is therefore dead to the Patriots for at least three weeks, making him unavailable for Week 3 DFS consideration.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

NegativeInjury5:17

Listed as limited in Wednesday's practice with a hamstring issue. Andy Behrens noted that Wednesday practices are essentially walkthroughs and don't provide definitive injury information.

Insight page

Rome Odunze

NegativeProjection6:43

Andy Behrens ranks Roma Odunze 33rd among receivers for Week 3 with Case Keenum starting at quarterback for the Bears instead of Caleb Williams, indicating a significant downgrade in projection due to the backup quarterback situation.

Insight page

Romeo Doubs

NegativeValue59:50

Jake Trowbridge has Romeo Dobbs at $5,100 as his flex, the last player he picked with $5,100 remaining; he notes Dobbs is cheap enough as the default wide receiver one and references potentially repeating from last week.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeInjury3:00

Saquon Barkley is among the big-name injured players heading into Week 3 that fantasy managers need to plan contingencies for; Chris Harris flagged him as a priority injury concern on Thursday, September 24th as managers finalize their Week 3 lineups.

Insight page
NegativeInjury3:29

Suffered a neck stinger after being landed on by three defenders on his first carry in Week 2; was able to return in the second half. Eagles play Monday night, so practice reports will be delayed (Thursday practice = Wednesday for other teams). Andy Behrens indicated Barkley could return to running back ranks either today or tomorrow pending Eagles practice updates.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

PositiveProjection8:00

Andy Behrens ranks Stefon Diggs 28th among receivers for Week 3 with Marcus Mariota starting for the Commanders instead of Jaden Daniels, indicating he was treated more favorably than the Bears receivers in the backup quarterback situation.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

PositiveRole5:57

Becomes more attractive if Puka Nakua is unavailable in Week 3, as Ferguson would see increased target opportunities in the Rams passing game.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveProjection8:00

Andy Behrens ranks Terry McLaurin 27th among receivers for Week 3 with Marcus Mariota starting for the Commanders instead of Jaden Daniels, indicating he was treated more favorably than the Bears receivers in the backup quarterback situation.

Insight page

TreVeyon Henderson

PositiveValue55:43

Jake Trowbridge mentions Trevion Henderson at $5,200 as a good price, especially considering Ramondre Stevenson fumbled and is dead to the Patriots for at least three weeks; Trowbridge asks if Henderson can break off a big enough play to make the salary worthwhile and answers affirmatively.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

NegativeInjury42:00

Craft was close to playing offensive tackle due to Packers OL injuries, but Behrens suggests this indicates the team may be downplaying injury severity. The fact that they considered moving Craft to OT suggests the line situation is even worse than publicly stated, and Craft's availability/role may be more limited than expected.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

NegativeInjury6:09

Didn't practice on Wednesday. New Ravens coach Jesse Minter said Flowers has a good chance to play in Week 3, but Andy Behrens cautioned that this statement can't be relied upon until Flowers actually plays.

0:00It's the Harris Fantasy Football Podcast with your host Christopher Harris.
0:04Hey everybody, welcome in. My name is Chris and this show is 27% olive oil.
0:09Hi there everybody. Thank you so much for listening today.
0:12A pleasure. Any day I get to talk to you and so many of you Yaw Possums are listening.
0:19It is truly my honor. I want to single out lovely emails that I got from two listeners.
0:25Michael B, John Patrick P. You both wrote in.
0:28JP, you're a long time emailer. Michael, it's your first.
0:31Both of you said really nice things about the audiobook version of Pound Foolish.
0:36Very, very kind. Your words mean very much to me.
0:39This is just a little reminder for everybody else that you are kind of accustomed to the sound of my voice.
0:46If you have a long car trip coming up or you drive a lot for a living or you're just someone who
0:54likes to listen to audiobooks when you go for a run or on the treadmill, you can get my novel about the
1:01NFL and all its machinations anywhere you get audiobooks.
1:04That would be so lovely. You know, cumulative press is now a little less concerned about bestseller lists.
1:10That's not the thing anymore. Now I would just, I mention it because I'd love to get as many people as possible
1:17to read it or listen to it because that's why you write books, folks.
1:22It's thousands of hours sitting around writing a book to share your ideas and hopefully make people think and laugh and cry and whatever.
1:30That's why we do it. I appreciate that a lot of you are currently experiencing Pound Foolish.
1:36It's actually kind of overwhelming and like fills my heart with glee and joy.
1:41How many of you are currently experiencing it, reading it or listening to it?
1:45It's amazing. It's incredible. I'm so lucky to have all of you.
1:49That silly thing came out of my little brain over the past few years and now a lot of people are experiencing it.
1:57And anytime you want to write me and let me know or post on social media or something, tag me.
2:04It means so, so much. You honestly can't imagine how much it means.
2:08Thank you so much. So on the Yacht Club podcast on Wednesday with Andy Behrens, we did a full hour on the
2:16current goings on in week three ranks and especially week three injuries.
2:20And so our complete thoughts about the state of the art are on that show.
2:25But I also know the vast majority of you listeners do not climb aboard the Yacht Club to listen to the thoughts of Paywall Andy.
2:33It's not within everybody's financial means. I totally understand it.
2:37And I can't replicate an hour's conversation in one introduction.
2:40But I do want to make sure that I try and serve all the people and I love you all so, so much.
2:48So let's try to run through what we know about the big injuries right now.
2:53The morning of Thursday, September 24th, as you've probably mostly done your waivers and you're thinking about how you're going to manipulate those lineups for week three.
3:02I'm also probably going to repeat a couple of these names with Jeff Bell later in the show.
3:08I don't ask the guests to tell me who they're nominating to talk about.
3:13So we'll see. And we could have more in-depth conversations there too.
3:17And or we're also going to do reports on all the injury guys on the show tomorrow, but we're going to know more information then.
3:25And you might need to start planning now. I want to make sure everybody feels like they're getting enough out of the show.
3:33Just, you know, want to make sure you're even aware of the big names who are hurt.
3:39You know, these are big names. So if you haven't yet come up with contingencies and you're not paying close attention, you're
3:46waiting for me to talk about them. Let's do it.
3:49Let's start thinking about them. Saquon Barkley, unfortunately, the first name I'm talking about here, we don't say anything yet.
3:56The Eagles play on Monday night. So they're like a day behind in their practice schedule.
4:02So certainly if you listened on Tuesday, you heard us talk about Cartavious Bigsby.
4:06Match first through the hole. Catch me a catcher.
4:09Bigsby was a smart waiver ad at the time.
4:12We might not get to use him. The party line on Barkley was his injury was a neck stinger.
4:19Got landed on by like three guys on the first carry of the game.
4:23He was, though, able to come back for some in the second half.
4:28So there's a chance that I will be getting him back into the running back ranks either today or tomorrow, depending on
4:35now that the Eagles will start making practice reports.
4:38Their Thursday will be everybody else's Wednesday, so it won't be definitive.
4:42But we'll see what they say. Judarian Price was listed as limited in Wednesday's practice.
4:47But then again, aren't they all? That isn't super useful information, kind of like what we were talking about on the Yacht
4:55Club show, about how not major injury does not mean anything anymore either.
4:59And with Judarian Price, they've talked about his injury being a chest injury, and then they talked about it being a shoulder.
5:07And on Tuesday, we did discuss Emmanuel Wilson being one of the waiver ads of the week.
5:12So I hope if you have Price, you have Wilson as an insurance policy.
5:17J.K. Dobbins and R.J. Harvey were both listed as limited with their hamstring issues in Wednesday's practice, which again kind of amounts to a walkthrough.
5:25The Broncos are now saying, first of all, Dobbins only suffered cramps against Jacksonville.
5:30And meanwhile, the guy we listed as the top running back option of the week off of waivers, Jonah Coleman, didn't practice
5:38at all on Wednesday because of an ankle injury.
5:41I mean, suffice it to say nobody knows anything yet, but we need to be just thinking about contingencies all through the
5:48end of this week for those guys. Puka Nakua didn't do anything in practice on Wednesday, which doesn't definitively mean anything.
5:55But Sean McVay giving the quote that he isn't sure about Puka playing in week three.
6:00At least so far, if I'm going to use my coach speak translator, I would say that means he's not playing in week three.
6:09That's a Sunday night game, adding in a little complication.
6:12Devontae Adams, obviously very good in week two. Terrence Ferguson gets a little more attractive if there's no Puka Nakua.
6:19Zay Flowers didn't do anything on Wednesday. The new coach for the Ravens, Jesse Minter, said that Flowers has a good chance to play in week three.
6:28But we can't spend that. He needs to actually play.
6:31As we discussed in waivers on Tuesday, Rashad Bateman, not a sure thing.
6:35But if you're in a deeper league, that's the one-to-one replacement that you probably want to see if you can get and ride with.
6:44DJ Moore did a limited practice on Wednesday with his shoulder slash neck injury.
6:48You know, we didn't list the little black backpack Keon Coleman as a waiver ad despite his good production last Thursday against the Lions.
6:56Because frankly, we did not believe our eyes. And then Coleman didn't practice at all on Wednesday.
7:02A couple of Colmans not practicing unexpectedly. I cannot emphasize enough, though, that we should not get hung up on Wednesday practices.
7:09They really mean nothing. But today or tomorrow, Moore might get into the ranks after all.
7:15If he's active, my message to you right now is I'm not going to sit him.
7:20I'm using DJ Moore if he's active. Brock Bowers, you know, finally practicing.
7:25The suspicion all along was week three. The Raiders certainly are talking that way.
7:29So we'll see how the rest of the week goes.
7:33And then the injured quarterbacks, kind of the reason for this segment.
7:37Because there are three quarterbacks that are not going to play this week.
7:41The Bears weapons, because Caleb Williams is not going to play Monday night against those Eagles.
7:47And Tyson Bajant, since last we spoke on the free side, has been announced to have a concussion.
7:53So he'd be in a race against time to play in that game.
7:57It might be Case Keenum. For the moment, I've assumed it is Case Keenum in my ranks.
8:03You can see at harrisfootball.com, I was not particularly kind to the likes of Roma Dunze, Luther Burden, Colston Loveland.
8:09I am just fine if it's going to be Case Keenum if you look elsewhere.
8:14The surf movie bad guy, Jackson Dart. Again, since we've spoken here on the free side, suddenly likely out for the season.
8:22So the Giants weapons, you know, it's a hit, I think.
8:26The wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man, Jameis Winston.
8:29For as much crap as I've scooped on him throughout his career.
8:33And I surely do remember in his early days, the same people, or at least the same kind of people, who loved Anthony Richardson.
8:41They also used to tell us, oh, you're underestimating the great Jameis Winston.
8:45Probably because he had six rushing touchdowns as a rookie.
8:49And I would shake my head. That was the very first year of this podcast.
8:54One of the first calls that some of you original possums celebrated the show for was our lack of belief in Jameis Winston.
9:02But even I'll admit it probably won't look as bad as it was Monday night when Winston is in command.
9:08Because he has upside. He's insane. He'll try to make throws.
9:12I think you're probably, for the moment, you don't have to decide on anybody for week nine, you know.
9:18For the moment, for this week, I think you're still using Malik Nabors.
9:23I think you're still using Isaiah Likely. For the moment, though, we're just going to rule out ancillary weapons.
9:29We're not taking a chance on some other receiver or tight end or whatever.
9:34Cam Scadaboo, I think, is going to be in most lineups, too.
9:38But, of course, the thing is, you don't have to decide for the whole season.
9:43We'll see how it looks. In a non-lethal matchup against the Titans.
9:47And the commander's weapons. Jaden Daniels, not ruled out for the season yet, but certainly out for a long time with his twice dislocated elbow.
9:56Real bummer. He'd been playing really well in that game in Dallas.
10:00You've seen the Marcus Mariota movie before. I was a little harsher on the Bears-Case Keenum guys this week than I was Terry McLaurin and Stefan Diggity.
10:09McLaurin and Diggs are 27 and 28 in my receiver ranks, compared to 33 and 34 for Burden and Odunze.
10:15But you're certainly forgiven for not feeling amazing about the ride and looking elsewhere.
10:20Today's mixtape. Okay, so I have to just play them.
10:24I have so many mixtapes. I go back so far.
10:27There are great ones that came in at the end of last year.
10:31And there's just fewer spots in the show. But I just got to get better about playing them.
10:37I'm going to go back and find some old ones.
10:41I appreciate them so much. And so many of them are so awesome.
10:45I just haven't played as many. So I'm going to play one right now.
10:50It came in probably two months ago, which is like kind of new compared to some of the ones that I still
10:57am sitting on and that are awesome. So I'm going to get to as many as I can.
11:03Keep sending them. You know what I always say?
11:06We want your mixtapes. Absolutely. Still want them. They make me laugh.
11:10They make me smile. I love you all so much for sending them.
11:15It's the stupidest thing in the world. And yet it's wonderful.
11:18Send them to heyharris at harrisfootball.com. Matt Simon, a multiple time mixtaper.
11:22You're going to understand the subject matter here. You're going to remember my conversation about the fact that the Browns were playing Deshaun Watson.
11:31It didn't seem so smart to me. It still didn't seem very smart after week one.
11:36And then suddenly they go and win in Tampa.
11:39I still think the song applies. Why would they do this?
11:43Matt Simon, thank you. You're the best. Let's play it.
11:46Here we go. Just sent him away. Put him back on the field.
11:50Not ever. Between you and me. I could honestly say this guy will never get better.
11:56Just chalk him away. Dust out the demons in your franchise.
12:00And it wouldn't be long before you just might find a quarterback who isn't a bad guy.
12:05But I guess that's why we call them the Browns.
12:09They're playing Deshaun. The fans will surely boo. This stupid franchise.
12:12Just plain deserves it. Haslam's a dum-dum. Yes, we've discovered.
12:16And I guess that's why we call them the Browns.
12:19Today's kickoff. Okay, on today's show, we have two guests coming your way.
12:23First up, it'll be the aforementioned Jeff Bell from FootballGuys.com.
12:27And Jeff is going to give us his five hardest-to-rank players for week three.
12:32And we'll talk about them from a lineup perspective.
12:35Plus, we'll do a preview of the Thursday night game, Falcons at Packers.
12:39And following that, Jake Trowbridge will triumphantly join the show.
12:42And we will talk week three in our DFS contest on DraftKings.
12:46Love both of these gents. Very happy to be bringing them to you today.
12:51We are sponsored today by BetterHelp. It's therapy online.
12:54I never want to push too hard because obviously not everybody needs to talk to a therapist this very second.
13:01And even if you do, you know, the time has to be right for you.
13:06I personally find that having someone to talk to who knows about what's going on with me but isn't directly involved in

13:51Jeff Bell. He will be there. You can hear him and read him at FootballGuys.com as well.
13:56It's a pleasure to get to talk to him after we just started complaining about the days being darker.
14:03We're going to be much more positive than we were before we hit the button, Jeff.
14:08Jeff Bell. I'm here for the positivity. I'm here for it.
14:12You know, there are nice things about fall, and we are going to enjoy those nice things about fall.
14:18Fair enough. And I'm in LA. I don't really get fall.
14:22I don't get seasons. I like it that way.
14:25I prefer. Although, you know, they say Super El Nino is coming, and we're going to have a really rainy January through
14:32March, and I'll probably complain about that because I don't want weather.
14:36But enough weather talk. It's not even John Daigle.
14:40John Daigle is the weatherman. Let's talk about week three ranks.
14:43I asked you to come up with five of your most difficult-to-rank players for this week.
14:49It's so refreshing, I'm sure, to come on and not get yelled at because I can't get mad at you.
14:55I can't tell you they weren't hard for you to rank.
14:59I'm just kidding. I don't yell at anybody. What are you talking about?
15:03I don't know. Guy I made up in my head.
15:07I never yell at anybody. I wondered how many of the guys you picked were kind of confusions about these injury situations
15:14that I kind of already referred to earlier in the show or some just kind of underperforming or overperforming players.
15:21Anyway, we'll find out. Are you ready to go with five names?
15:25Very much ready to go with five names. All right.
15:28Who do you want to talk about first? Devon Achan.
15:32I'd like to talk about him first because, to me, I think it's difficult to figure out how to wear what to rank him as.
15:40And he's kind of landing as a back-end running back one, still kind of high-end running back two in a lot of rankings right now.
15:49He's running back 23 on the season. And the volume is certainly there.
15:53You can still make the volume argument if you want to get there.
15:57But, again, that volume has only led to running back 23.
16:01The scoring is a significant question in Miami. And I don't know that it's ever going to get any better.
16:08And so I think he runs into – maybe he breaks a long run and we get there.
16:14But the way that they're functioning right now, it's – I don't know if it's the priors from the offseason coming into
16:21it or just the player that was a top six running back last year or what about it.
16:27Achan, I think, is very difficult. So, okay, I take it back.
16:31You're wrong. He was easy to rank. No, I'm just kidding.
16:35Of course, yes, agreed. He's difficult to rank. So you're doing your list for week three and you're deciding where to slide him in.
16:43First of all, where did you slide him in?
16:46Right now he is sitting as my running back 10 and I feel like I'm wrong.
16:52And so it's – But once you run out – Right, go ahead.
16:56Once you get past him, you know, you reach time chairs.
17:00You reach other questions there as opposed to a player that really gets all the volume potentially in Miami.
17:06Yeah. And like hard to rank doesn't necessarily mean hard to start.
17:10I think if somebody spent, you know, the last pick of the first round or the third pick in the second round
17:17on Devon Achan, they're sort of locked in. They kind of don't have a choice at the moment.
17:24The choice is to trade him to see if you can get something.
17:28You pitch him as the – look at the volume.
17:31He's the only act in town. He's the only thing good on the Dolphins, yada, yada.
17:37And he had okay moments last week. It was a good first half.
17:41You know, I thought the Dolphins held in okay in the first half.
17:45Obviously got their doors blown off in the second.
17:48If you – you know, so you ranked him 10.
17:52I ranked him 12. We're in the same neighborhood of, come on, you probably don't have a choice.
17:58You have to start him. But I guess what I'm going to – like what would be the – if you were
18:05going to take the – put the pessimism, the fall sucks hat on about Achan, where would you have gotten him down?
18:13As low as how far? I think you can make an argument to get him down to about running back 18, probably realistically.
18:20When you look at the other running backs on the board, moving players like – I mean, you have Kyron Williams, O'Marrion Hampton, Bucky Irving, Chuba Hubbard.
18:30Those are the players that I've got kind of right behind him.
18:34DeAndre Swift, I think they're in there as well.
18:37I mean, concerns about Chicago's offense without Caleb Williams.
18:40But I think that that's where, if you're going to be pessimistic about it, ranking him towards the bottom as a back
18:47end running back two is the most realistic landing spot.
18:50For now. But you might come out of this week and feel – you might feel – I mean, the bottom feels low.
18:58The ceiling doesn't feel any higher than it is right now.
19:02We're still ranking him near the top of where we think he can go.
19:07And all it takes is one 14-touch, 24-total-yard game for us to be like, yeah, Devon Achan is running back 30.
19:14You know, we just go, okay, him or Travis Etienne, cool.
19:17I don't really want to start either one of them.
19:21Who's next? Who else did you want to talk about?
19:24Rashi Rice. I'd like to talk about Rashi Rice.
19:27And I think there's about every red flag situation on Rashi Rice.
19:31He's still the wide receiver 26 in .5 PPR scoring.
19:35But that's kind of week one, there was the bounce-off guys, ping-pong touchdown.
19:39And then week two, there was the long play right before halftime that kind of has buoyed him a little bit.
19:46But this is a player that many people are drafting him as potentially a low-end wide receiver one, high-end wide receiver two.
19:53And it feels like even a Rashi Rice scam just to be the wide receiver 26 right now.
20:00And I don't see anything other than they do play Miami, who we already talked about, this week to suggest that they're
20:07thinking they need to change the usage patterns at all in that offense.
20:11Yeah, it's a good point. It really feels like the usage patterns are changed in that offense.
20:17We used to think of Rashi Rice as an extension of the run game.
20:22And okay, when you have a really good run game, do you need a receiver to be an extension of the run?
20:29That's the question we're asking ourselves. Like, oh, we've all been complaining, or at least around these parts, and I know you've
20:37come on my show and complained also, that we don't really think he's like a super crazy special player.
20:43Is that still where you are? Yeah, I think so.
20:46And they really, he needs to grow in his game, and he's never been asked to grow.
20:52They've been leaned into what he did well, because they were desperate for players that could get the ball in their hands
20:59and create and handle getting knocked around, because the other guys that they had were Xavier Worthy or Travis Kelsey prior to marriage.
21:07And those guys were not the creators quite in the same way that could handle the volume that Rashi Rice could, but you're exactly right there.
21:16They really had to just scam it up, because the running game was so, so bad.
21:21Now they're at the top end on the running game.
21:25And so they don't have that need anymore. And you get the sense that, I mean, he's heading towards free agency here.
21:32They don't seem like they want to give any level of investment to him.
21:37So they're looking at him saying, this is a guy that's not in our future, and we have already kind of solved the solution for him.
21:46Meanwhile, he's still just kind of here. Um, I love the implication, pre-marriage Travis Kelsey, like marriage has fixed him.
21:52Marriage is, he's good again. All you need to do is get married.
21:57So, so I think what, so I don't, I'm sure that Travis Kelsey tried very hard prior to marriage.
22:03And, but I think last year he did, he, it was the thing of, oh, I've fallen off and mentally I want to try hard again.
22:12And then like, but didn't know how to do that.
22:15And then, so basically still kind of got his butt kicked a little bit last year.
22:21And then I think of this off season, he was like, oh, this is actually how I get into shape.
22:27Or it's just the second game of the season and he's just fresh and that'll wear down because that happens with football players.
22:35Probably the latter, but it's more fun to talk about the former in which he realized that marriage is so painful and
22:43such hard work that he needed to try harder on the field.
22:47This is my favorite thing of the day. Um, where did you wind up with rice ranked for the week?
22:53I've got him at wide receiver 26, right? Where he's coming in.
22:57But that feels like I'm it's, I love the matchup.
23:01There's going to be touchdowns against Miami probably. But again, it's, he's sitting at wide receiver 26 on the season and it
23:08feels like there's some level of fluke to him attaining that.
23:12Yeah. It's a wider range of receivers who could benefit.
23:15And then, you know, that's kind of the NFL now where every team has such a wide range of receivers who accidentally
23:23Keon Coleman has a big game, you know, whatever.
23:26Um, and now, unfortunately we find ourselves in the position of being like, boy, I sure hope Rashi rice is the one
23:33who accidentally benefits that I don't think it's going to happen every week anymore.
23:38So I definitely understand where you're coming from. Probably again, someone who's in lineups, but that doesn't mean he was easy to rank.
23:46Uh, who's next that you want to talk about?
23:49Yeah, I've been trying to avoid talking about the guys that everybody's talking about, but there is one guy that I feel
23:56like is a little bit unavoidable and that's Bryce young quarterback here coming in and we've seen great volume through the first two games.
24:04It really looks like a fundamental shift on how they're operating that Carolina offense between, I mean, some of it might've been
24:11chasing Chicago, but they weren't chasing Atlanta and they were still pouring it on in the passing game.
24:18We know Jonathan Brooks out of the lineup. They're really just down to Chuba Hubbard.
24:23Now the running backs and I don't see a situation where they're going to switch dramatically to look like the team that
24:30they did in prior seasons when they really looked like they were covering up for Bryce young or now it looks like
24:37they are allowing Bryce young to be explosive. And he's a player that coming into the season, there were some positive reports out of Carolina camp.
24:46And I looked at him and I think he, you look at a quarterback and how can they erase mistakes?
24:53How can they solve problems? And he's a player that mentally was how he was going to have to do that.
25:00Well, he was running into a league where the league was far, far ahead of him, as opposed to when he was
25:07at Alabama, best players all around him. And he's smarter than everybody he's going against.
25:12I think now we've reached the situation where Bryce young has the understanding and experience to know what defenses are throwing at him and to exploit those.
25:22And I think that they're leaning into him with having Tedron McMillan, having Jalen Coker.
25:27Hopefully he's fine with the injury that he's managing and, and really laying leaning into the passing volume.
25:33But this is a guy that consensus Lee was like quarterback 26, 27, 28 coming into the season now to push him
25:40all the way up into quarterback five territory feels a little bit aggressive.
25:44He's such a good one to bring up. And I, and to be honest, like I did that game on Tuesday and
25:52didn't really even talk about him as a potential fantasy starter because you talked about priors and wanting to not get super carried away.
26:00And the numbers are going to look better because of week one, but the numbers look pretty good last week too.
26:07Where did you wind up with young in your list?
26:10He's QB 13 on my list this week. I mean, in the exact same spot and it feels it's tough to get
26:18him above because there are established players above him and that you feel better about having a longer track record.
26:25But yeah, it does feel like I'm probably low on him.
26:28Maybe not. Maybe. I don't know. I don't know.
26:31It's like, it's like, could you do it one more time?
26:35One more time in a game where you're not getting completely pounded, you know, it'd be great.
26:41And they're playing in Cleveland. It doesn't feel like they'll be getting completely pounded.
26:45Anything can happen. Like I have Justin Herbert and Bryce Young side by side and the person who has Herbert and it's like, I'm out, I'm out.
26:55I don't want to do this anymore. And they, and they decided to go Bryce Young.
27:00How could I, how could I like criticize that?
27:03That seems like a fair comparison. It absolutely does.
27:06And you're exactly right. Talking about, you'd like to see it another game.
27:10And I think really kind of that those first three or four game windows and, and breaking the season up into four
27:18game windows, I think is the right way to approach it.
27:21And so having another game, another data point on there, that that's when I really start to pull off and move a
27:29different direction because through two games last year, Jameer Gibbs was the running back 17.
27:34And we know Jameer Gibbs did not end up as the running back 17.
27:39And so we see these early samples and, and we see big fluctuations as the season progresses.

28:48Go to HungryRoot.com slash Harris and use the code Harris.
28:51We are back with Jeff and we are talking five difficult to rank players for week three.
28:57Who did you want to talk about next? So I'm going to stick in this game with Carolina and Cleveland and I'm
29:04going to also cheat in this game and talk about more than one player on the Cleveland Browns side.
29:11But so Quinchon Judkins, Denzel Boston and Deshaun Watson and kind of looking at all three of those and it feels to
29:18me like Judkins is the player that I'm lower than on than consensus because we haven't seen him have any level of efficiency.
29:26But then you look at Deshaun Watson is the quarterback 12 on the season.
29:30Denzel Boston's the wide receiver 10 on the season.
29:33And Watson, I mean, we know that that one week one throw when he kind of put it in the bucket there,
29:41but he kind of I don't he didn't look like Sean Watson, but he did not look like Sean Watson last week.
29:48You can I think you can he's starting to process a little bit there and the pieces around him Denzel Boston Casey Concepcion Harold Fannin.
29:57He has playmakers around him in an offense that is willing to lean on the pass.
30:02You did cheat. There's a lot to talk about there.
30:05I get it on Judkins. Where's Judkins in your running back rank?
30:10Like he's running back 24 for me. And that's lower than our football guys consensus has.
30:15OK, yes. You're kind of similar there. We still 17 in our running back consensus on football guys.
30:21Yeah, like maybe people are looking at Carolina and what they gave up on the ground in week one.
30:27I don't know. Yeah, he's going to come up later in the show.
30:32So we don't talk about him too much more.
30:35And Watson. I am QB 28. I'm not I'm not buying that.
30:39I think for for Brown's fans sanity. We played a little song about him earlier on.
30:44Like, why do this? Why? I guess you want to win games.
30:48You think he just won a game. You got to use him again.
30:53But why create the temptation to sign him to another contract?
30:56What a disaster that would be if they ever signed him to another deal.
31:01I mean, yeah. Yeah. And it is that double edge.
31:04They seem to be building in one direction towards putting everything around a young quarterback.
31:09And now with him and you start to put together the pieces that after the Miles Garrett injury, now that trade looks pretty good for Cleveland.
31:18Bringing Jared Verson, a young player, that kind of not one for one solution, but still an edge that everybody liked prior to the deal.
31:27And then adding draft picks around them. We like what they did in the draft in terms of adding skill talent.
31:34I mean, I think everybody was in on these receivers and we're seeing especially Boston exploding here in the early season.
31:41So let's talk about the receivers then. I don't I didn't take the bait.
31:46I don't think somebody who has Denzel Boston should really strain themselves to sign him sign up to to use him in a lineup this week.
31:54But maybe you disagree. I have Concepcion 39 and Boston 40 among receivers.
31:59Are you significantly higher than that? Yeah, Boston wide receiver 27 and I've got Concepcion at wide receiver 38.
32:05So similar range there with with but we got not Boston.
32:09Yeah. Yeah. We got a report during training camp about Boston stepping up and looking at the top receiver and that's what's happened so far.
32:17Has it? I don't know if it's looked like that.
32:21I feel like they come out every week or every week, two weeks.
32:25They come out every two weeks and hand it and throw it to Concepcion over and over.
32:31And then the Boston thing kind of you have to wait to the second half and then you go, oh, no, is he going to do nothing?
32:40And I mean, I'm going to be honest. He could have had another touchdown.
32:44He kind of dropped it. It got knocked away, but he kind of dropped it.
32:50Boston did. But I don't know. I'm a little that's one where I'm a little that's another one.
32:56Prove it to me. But that's why he was a difficult to rank player for you.
33:01I completely get it. You're not saying you're positive.
33:04You're saying, yeah, this was tough for me, but I'm going to choose to believe for a week.
33:10So it does give the Boston owner out there something to think about.
33:14And I can't tell you, like, I'm not really strongly disagreeing.
33:18I get where you're coming from when they have good results.
33:22Who's the fifth guy on your list? Drake London is the fifth guy on my list.
33:27That will segue nicely into what's coming next because we are going to talk about the rest of the game.
33:34I might have done the show before, Chris. Yeah.
33:37Yeah. Go ahead. London. Yeah. London here. Obviously, we drafted him as a fantasy wide receiver one.
33:43Drafted him in the second round. Top 10 wide receiver.
33:46And really, the thesis was either having, I mean, probably Michael Penix was the preferred outcome for that thesis.
33:53Or at least to a tongue of Iowa. I mean, Cooper Rush.
33:57The Ravens last year saw two games of Cooper Rush and said, this guy does not need to be on our roster.
34:04The Falcons saw two games of Cooper Rush and said, oh, well, yeah, maybe we should listen to that last year.
34:11And so London coming into this wide receiver 52.
34:14And I understand hesitation and probably right to have hesitation on going back to the well with Drake London.
34:20And we don't know what this is going to look like with Michael Penix.
34:25But at the same time, we did see Michael Penix support Drake London pretty well through a good portion of last season.
34:33And so I don't know where to rank him.
34:36And, you know, I think he's still, I thought with the Cooper Rush offense, you were going to have Bajon Robinson in your lineups.
34:44I was sitting Kyle Pitts week two everywhere that I could.
34:47And then Drake London was kind of falling on that fringe of you probably don't have a better option given what you gave up to get Drake London.
34:57I mean, now he's definitely in lineups, I think, this week.
35:01But where does he come in? Yeah, this got easier for me.
35:05I feel a lot better about my rank now that I know it's not Cooper Rush anymore.
35:10I have him wide receiver 13, which is lower than he was to start the year.
35:16But that's partly because people like Chris Olave and Parker Washington are simply, I think, establishing themselves as stars that you can really trust.
35:24Where did you wind up with London? London is my wide receiver 10 right now.
35:29And I do have him behind the Chris Olave and Parker Washington that you mentioned.
35:34But, yeah, it does kind of, I do think you get into that hodgepodge of ambiguous wide receivers pretty, pretty quickly right now, the way it's stacking up.
35:43Once you get past kind of Parker Washington, Devonta Smith.
35:47I think this was a bit of a lie on your part.
35:51I think you knew you were going to start Drake London no matter what.
35:55You didn't have that hard a time ranking Drake London.
35:59Come on. Once Penix was bad. It still feels a little aggressive, given how bad things have been.
36:05But, yes. Okay. Well, let's do, hold on. Let's do this sound drop.
36:09So, let's talk about the Thursday night game writ large.
36:13Certainly, another national TV game with a backup quarterback would have been, we're already going to have one Monday night.
36:19Would have been not that fun to watch. But, and frankly, it still might not be that fun to watch because we
36:27don't really know the status of Michael Penix's knee.
36:30But, like, a one-legged Michael Penix would have been at least more interesting to watch, at least for a quarter, than any more Cooper Rush.
36:38Those were hard games on my eyeballs. So, it lends some certainty, I guess, or some ceiling.
36:44Maybe not certainty. Maybe the floor still stinks. But, Bajon, obviously, great.
36:48Looking forward to get to watch him. Drake London we just talked about.
36:52About, you know, if you have Kyle Pitts on a roster, skill issue.
36:57That's clearly not what I'm doing. But, you know, all the Falcons you can feel like you can use, we just talked about.
37:05I kind of wanted to ask you more about the Packers backfield.
37:09Because there's three of them. The order changed a little bit last week.
37:13Two of them fumbled. By the very end, it was actually, by overtime, it was all Chris Brooks.
37:19Which is the third guy you would think that you'd want to use.
37:23I got to assume that you're not personally ranking any of these Packer running backs as anything like a must start.
37:30No. Nowhere near they are, in football guys' terms, the what-the-heck flex is kind of thing where they all land.
37:37And Brooks has always been the most interesting to me because they're clearly comfortable with him in the passing game.
37:44They have been for multiple years. He is a bigger back.
37:48You would think that he could handle volume. And they've never, ever given him an opportunity to have any level of volume
37:55or to get any rhythm at all in the run game.
37:59And so that's baffling to me a little bit there on the way that we see a lot of teams willing to,
38:06especially leaning towards bell cow usage lately, because they don't want to tip defense's hands.
38:11And if this guy's the passing down back, then maybe just leave him in as the early down back so you're not
38:19throwing up a flag of what you're doing on this play.
38:22And then I think the Marshawn Lloyd of it, I think Marshawn Lloyd, Jonathan Brooks kind of fall in the same bucket
38:30where they were complete write-offs by the organization and by those following them.
38:34And probably a lot of fantasy football as well.
38:37And then as soon as they're healthy and making it through practices, then, hey, you know, this guy's not a complete write-off.
38:45But then in our fantasy brains, we push way far in the other direction and say, it's going to be the guy
38:52that I thought they were when they were drafted two years ago.
38:56And they get shot up the board. And so I think that we've seen now that, you know, I think the trade
39:03for Caleb Johnson, I think when that happened, there was a lot of excitement about Marshawn Lloyd.
39:09And there was the other thing going on with Josh Jacobs that's still the everything going on with Josh Jacobs.
39:16So I think people saw that move as saying, Josh Jacobs is out for the year.
39:21They believe in Lloyd. They're bringing a backup here.
39:24And I think it probably now two games into it was probably the opposite saying, oh, we are really stuck if Marshawn
39:32Lloyd is going to be our top back here.
39:35We need to get another option in here. But I think it's if I saw them give any level of volume to Brooks, I would be there.
39:44But we haven't seen that ever. Yeah, and we're certainly, you know, it has to be a week by week.
39:51It's a week by week league. It has to be a week by week sort of guessing game based on what you just saw.
39:59And week one, we didn't see Caleb Johnson at all.
40:02And then week two, surprisingly, we didn't expect to see Caleb Johnson.
40:06And then suddenly he's got an equal timeshare from the rest of the guys.
40:11I don't have any of them inside my top 40 for this week.
40:15But the moment we tune in tonight and we watch Caleb Johnson get 80% of the work, we're going to go, aha, I've got the solution.
40:24Now Caleb Johnson is running back 29 or whatever.
40:27But for this week, we're just not going to use them.
40:31And wide receiver, you know, you certainly have questions that will continue to maybe be answered tonight.
40:36The Falcons pass rush, pretty good. Falcons defense is okay.
40:40A lot of their problems just simply but unreliable offense.
40:43Packer offensive lines have been such an absolute mess.
40:46It makes it hard to really trust Jordan Love.
40:49It makes it, I mean, I think you're using Christian Watson no matter what.
40:54And Matthew Golden kind of falls in that. He falls in that area of like, they don't seem to have a plan for him early in games.
41:03But he certainly, when they fall behind, he tends to get a bunch of targets to try to catch them up.
41:10Could have had a bigger game last week. Both are usable tonight.
41:14Would you agree? I agree. Yeah, I think that those are the pieces that you want to target here.
41:21AJ Terrell is out for the Falcons, their star cornerback.
41:24And so that's going to make life a little bit easier.
41:28But I'm glad you mentioned that offensive line. And I do think that that's something that I know there's some good work
41:35being done in our space on the offensive lines.
41:38But I do think that probably in general, we don't exactly pay attention to the offensive lines quite in the way that we should.
41:46So that the fact that we need to are really paying attention to the Packers offensive line tells you quite how bad it is.
41:54And the chance that Tucker Craft might play offensive tackle apparently or was really close to playing offensive tackle.
42:01But I think that that's coming out of it kind of prior to really digging in and seeing that and seeing that talk around there.
42:09I think it was easy to look at Tucker Craft and say, well, maybe there's a little bit more of the ramp
42:16up in the injuries here than he was kind of letting on.
42:20And now I think it looks like they just desperately need him to be blocking because that offensive line is so, so bad.
42:28Losing Jaden Reed out of this, it seems like Sky Moore is going to be the guy that kind of runs Jaden Reed things.
42:36But I'm not going to go there at all in fantasy.
42:40I do think it's Christian Watson for sure. And I agree with you on Golden.
42:45We saw a lot of volume week one, a little bit less volume week two, but it does all come after they've allowed a big leader.
42:54They're really scrambling, trying to figure out how to attack the defense they're facing.
42:59Well, we'll keep an eye on it tonight. It'll be an interesting game to watch.
43:04I will talk about it off the top of Friday's show.
43:07In the meantime, please do follow Jeff all over social media, wherever you follow.
43:12He is there. And all of our friends at Football Guys, we always appreciate all of you guys coming on this show.
43:19And check out footballguys.com for more great Jeff Bell work.
43:23What a pleasure. Thank you for doing this on a Thursday morning, my friend.
43:28Thank you so much, Chris. We got football again, so it's a good morning.
43:32We are sponsored by DraftKings. I'm about to talk with Jake about our DFS lineups this week.

44:53Varies by state. Jake is on a vacation far away.
44:57Sipping on his second Mai Tai. He's got a niche that he wants to scratch.
45:02Now he's gotta go find him some Wi-Fi. Jake just wants to tink his team tonight.
45:07That's a new... That's probably the newest Jake Trowbridge song we have.
45:11But our second guest is in fact Jake. And you can find him on Blue Sky.
45:17Just look up Jake Trowbridge. And it is so appropriate that we play that song because...
45:22Well, I actually don't know if you tinked. Did you tink last week?
45:26You bet your bottom dollar I tinked a little bit last week.
45:30I had to. And you tinked into a monster.
45:34You tinked into $15. Woo! Woo-woo! They call me Mr.
45:37Cash. That's what they say. That's my name. It's Mr.
45:40Cash. With all due respect to the Simpsons. 74th in our contest last week.
45:45Clearly, I mean, you didn't tink away from Jamar Chase.
45:48And he was in your flex. So you motivated him.
45:52Extra motivation. You already had CeeDee Lamb last week.
45:55So he was huge. You also already had Dalton Schultz.
45:58A little paint by numbers, but it worked. But you tinked in other areas.
46:03I did notice because I had to look it up.
46:06In my pain, because I finished in the 800s, you basically got away from some of our common players.
46:13And that turned out to be a good idea because I finished in the 800s.
46:18I mean, look, I said it a little bit last week.
46:21And these superstitiouses... Superstitions? Super dope superstitiouses. I definitely nailed it the first time.
46:26These are... They are that for a reason. And I, you know, I didn't feel great about actually making those clicks because
46:33I want us to have this unifying moment every week.
46:37And I feel like I'm taking that away from us.
46:40But I needed my sweet, sweet cash. And so that's what happened.
46:44You got it. You filled up that DraftKings account with some cash.
46:48And I'm just... I couldn't be prouder, even though...
46:51Yes, I could. If I had won, I would have been prouder.
46:55I easily could have been... I take it back.
46:58I easily could have been prouder just of myself.
47:01It happened so infrequently that I was really aiming for that.
47:05But whatever. I lose. You win. Great job. And this just bodes well.
47:10Clearly, 2026 is going to be the year of the bridge.
47:13Oh, I like the sound of that. Can we get that knitted on a throw pillow?
47:19Anybody out there? That'd be terrific. How about we put the call out there to all of our mixtapers to get the
47:26next newest Jake Trowbridge walk-up song, Year of the Bridge?
47:29Heck yeah. I mean, there's so many songs you could do that to.
47:34So that is it. Your assignment. Hopefully for... Maybe as soon as next week.
47:38All right. Well, I was bitter about last week.
47:42I'm not going to lie. Bitter. Failure on my part.
47:45I watched it all crumble for our week three contest.
47:48I have decided to zig in a few spots that I think will cause the folks to laugh.
47:54The danger with zigging in a few spots when you make your picks public is that then everybody goes, hey, that sounds like a good idea.
48:03And then they zig too. Zag, whatever. And then you're not different than people.
48:08But these are so dumb. Yeah, they zoog me.
48:11My picks are going to... Some of my picks are so dumb that I think the listeners are going to be like,
48:18oh no, he can have that guy by himself.
48:21That's cool. As I just mentioned on the DraftKings spot, we would love to have you play with us.
48:28The link to our week three contest is in today's show notes.
48:32We have hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of listeners who play with us every week and have for...
48:38This is our 11th season doing it. DraftKings does not take a rake in this contest.
48:43They make zero money on this. It's an antiquated notion.
48:47Jake, every year I have to write directly to the...
48:50Like I have... I book DraftKings through an ad agency because of course I do.
48:55They're a massive business. They have thousands of things that they sponsor.
48:59But I still have contacts from the old days at DraftKings.
49:03And Lauren is so wonderful there. And every year with my tail between my legs, I email Lauren and I go, can we have that contest again?
49:12And she's like, of course you can. I got no problem with that.
49:16So this is the best value on the internet.
49:19There's no such thing as a free ride except for this contest.
49:23So we would love for you to play with us.
49:27It's very easy. It's $5. And you get to have fun.
49:30So please do it. And we will put our teams in today's show notes.
49:35So as always, Jake, what shouldn't they crash? Their car.
49:38Correct. Or any vehicle, really. I know you always say car, but anything you drive in a bike, whatever.
49:45That is sort of carist. That is automotivist a little bit.
49:49I gotta watch that. All right. Well, we're gonna list our teams right now.
49:53Mine is very stupid. How did you start thinking about week three?
49:57I don't know if mine is less stupid necessarily, but when I'm looking at week three, I think the decision you have
50:05to make or at least the one that I was having to make was how hard do you want to pivot into
50:12the backups or the sudden backups that are out there because there's a lot of options for you to do that.
50:19I mean, if you start at quarterback, which is where I tend to most weeks, I just go down the list and I go, oh, he's out.
50:28He's out. How much further down can I possibly go?
50:32Do I go with Marcus Mariota? Do I go with Jameis Winston?
50:36I didn't do either of those fellas in my lineup, but I do have Drew Locke, which feels gross at $5,200.
50:43And I know that there's a possibility Sam Darnold actually does start, but you know, as the song says, that I have
50:50no issues tinking and they're only $200 apart. I can find that $200 within the rest of this lineup pretty easily if
50:58I need to get Sam Darnold in there. But I want the Seattle quarterback against Washington.
51:03I think it's a nice matchup. Certainly nice enough to pay off here.
51:07And of course, I'm bringing in the caliber. I'm bringing in the fella from last week.
51:13Well, it sounds like you probably have too, but at $8,600, he could be twice this much and I would still try
51:20to find a way to get Jackson Smith and Jigba in this lineup.
51:25Uh-oh. I think I figured out where you might tink.
51:28I don't have the quarterback. I don't have the quarterback, but I do have JSN.
51:33In my lineup as my most expensive player and, you know, that could, I like that there's mystery to not know, to
51:40like check in on Monday morning and look at the results and being like, did Jake stick?
51:46Did Jake stick? And I'm like, oh no, he left, he left JSN.
51:50So then, yeah. But I do have JSN. My stack, I did start with a stack, but my stack is stupid.
51:58I have not shown great intelligence in this stack, but by golly, I am going to go with the counterintuitive stack of the week.
52:06We used to have a Robot Talia sound drop that was the counterintuitive opinion of the week.
52:11In fact, why don't I just play it right here?
52:15Counterintuitive opinion of the day. And thank you, Robot Talia.
52:18I have Justin Herbert at 5,800 and Lad McConkie at 5,900 because that's how the NFL works.
52:24When we finally decide that someone is dead to us, that's when they go, boom, surprise, 40 points.
52:30So I know there's not a lot of logic to it in my weekly ranks.
52:35I have Herbert down at like number 12 or something and that's actually about where they have them in DraftKings and if
52:42you take out Jaden Daniels and Jackson Dart, he's probably a little higher than that.
52:47But, you know, the Bills are that team. I don't think the Bills defense is very good and they are kind of
52:55that team who they'll barf all over themselves the moment they're a made man.
52:59You know what I mean? And they don't, they probably won't barf all over themselves offensively, but they could easily get in
53:07a 41-39 game with the Chargers and so it's dumb, but Herbert McConkie, that was where I started.
53:13I mean, I don't hate this because that's the cheapest you could get Herbert so far this season because of course it
53:20is because that means he did poorly his first two weeks but I mean, it's just that matchup thing of, I mean,
53:28are they going to have to be forced into throwing a whole lot?
53:32Yep, probably. So, just don't watch the game. I know you watch every game, Chris, just don't do it this time.
53:39Just accept the garbage time points and move on.
53:42I did not take either of those guys but I do have a Charger in my lineup.
53:48I said last tight end standing I guess is going to be my guy Aranda Gadsden.
53:53He's 3,500. I have similar thoughts just about the matchup and the fact that we saw this guy look pretty, pretty good
54:01in a few spots last year and it's, well, just do it again.
54:05Do it again. Mike McDaniel, let him do it again.
54:093,500 just felt very cheap. Well, my tight end was not the first player I picked but it was in the first
54:16half of who I picked and it's funny that I went more expensive than Gadsden even though I think Gadsden is a
54:23right answer here potentially just because I think he has to play probably some but I learned my lesson after mocking Dalton
54:31Schultz last week at 42, he's still only 4,200.
54:34The algorithm could not catch up to it and what did I say when we did film review earlier in the week on the Texans?
54:42I believe it was seven catches on the last drive where they're just you know Cincinnati was like go ahead we don't
54:50care you're down 14 go ahead throw it to the tight end eight times seven times they did so maybe it's fake
54:57but at 4,200 I just swallowed hard and did Dalton Schultz here how about your backfield?
55:02Backfield is where I got a little bit I don't know creative might be the word because once again I've gone I've
55:10gone very much studs and duds the studs being my wide receiving crew I'm not going to call the running backs duds
55:17though but I do wonder if there's some this pricing happening so my most expensive guy is 5,500 it's Quinchon Judkins I
55:25have not really uh oh I've not been a huge fan of Quinchon Judkins but then he starts catching passes all of
55:32a sudden Chris and I'm like oh okay uh I guess in this instance he's 5,500 and against Carolina that seems you
55:39know not that intimidating uh even for Cleveland is that your similar thought?
55:44that's why I'm saying uh oh yeah I felt the same way I thought that was one of my stupid picks so
55:51thank you for making me feel less stupid yeah we're stupid together you know there's a there's a I don't think Carolina's
55:59defense is bad I guess if you want last week sounds like he might not play in this game um and I
56:06kind of did agree that they at least found a creative way around having to constantly have Quinchon Judkins dash his body
56:14against the rocks that they just simply weren't making any progress up the middle at least they you know stopped doing it
56:21and found another way to get him the ball not not his typical way and I don't think he's ever going to
56:28be a dynamic receiver but cool extension of the run run game like one yard delayed screens that at least get him
56:36in the open agreed that's kind of what's my logic stupid stupid logic don't get me wrong who was that other running
56:43back you were going to mention we'll see if this stupid face gets onto your roster or not the stupid face being
56:51me really not this guy but Trevion Henderson at $5,200 I looked at him I looked at him it's a good price
56:58you know it's a good price especially considering that Ramondre Stevenson fumbled and therefore is dead to the Patriots for at least
57:05three weeks you know that's how that works certainly and it's been the thing since last year of like it's not always
57:13going to work out with him of course it can't but at $5,200 can he break off a big enough play to
57:20make it worthwhile I think absolutely so we'll see yeah so he was an honorable mention for me Gadsden was an honorable
57:28mention for me I feel like you're picking out smarter prices than I picked out even though we both picked out Judkins
57:35Herbert and McConkie weren't as smart my other running back is a stud I have two studs JSN and Kenneth Walker who
57:42is a top five in all formats for me at $7,400 kind of goes without saying and do I have the cheapest
57:50defense facing him in fact yes and I've planted the message in the Dolphins locker room that you guys are allowed to
57:57like just find a way to do zero points that's fine as long as you let Ken Walker score three touchdowns and
58:05they've said yes so he gets a pass the thing I'll say though is that I believe you stuck with not the
58:12cheapest defense last week am I correct that is true I did end up keeping the extra couple of hundred dollars so
58:20I mean that is but this week it violates the commandment oh you're on the Dolphins this week I'm on the Dolphins
58:27so I'm bringing it back I'm bringing it back to our roots that's one where you're not Tinkin I know you're not
58:34there's no way I mean even if I magically at this point I feel it would be prudent to put that two
58:42hundred dollars elsewhere yeah it was a long pause um all right you have other receivers who are pricier I do yeah
58:49I have two again very pricey wide receivers to pair with JSN uh the math just worked out I'm under Ross St.
58:57Brown seventy nine hundred dollars I'm just I'm tired of ignoring him you know I'm tired of pretending that he is not
59:04easily the greatest option on the uh Lions pass catching poor uh tight end included and then I also had CeeDee Lamb
59:11at seventy eight hundred dollars I don't I don't know that I love the matchup but it's fine um and I was
59:19very pleased to see Dallas generally sort of look more comfortable as an offense last week because week one was very scary
59:26if you had any of these guys in redraft which I do um but CeeDee Lamb JSN I'm gonna ask St.
59:33Brown what would go wrong I mean I think you're gonna have a lot of points there and it just it you
59:41know to win a medium-sized pool like this you know you have to hit on other guys too but that's a pretty
59:48good beginning absolutely um do I have any other wide receivers here who's my other wide receiver uh why don't while I
59:56look about that why don't you look at your flex yeah my flex is a true flex this time this is not
60:03an inspirational motivational flex this is a real I only had this many dollars left I had forty three hundred dollars and
60:10I said Adne Mitchell that's fine I like this matchup the Jets Detroit matchup I now have two pieces of that uh
60:18Mitchell certainly was getting targeted plenty last week against the Packers it wasn't working out consistently because he's not Garrett Wilson uh
60:25but he's also like half the price of Garrett Wilson and it's kind of the the same principle with Henderson where one
60:33or two big plays and I'm I'm sitting pretty with forty three hundred dollars invested into him you're you're looking boom I
60:40I realized that in my notes I wrote Quinchun Judkins's name down both at running back and wide receiver oh you really
60:47took that pass catching work to heart last week and then I looked at my actual lineup and I went oh that's
60:55right I put Jalen Coker who is the same price as Quinchun Judkins which is hence my mistake at fifty five hundred
61:02so Coker felt like underpriced you know like the algorithm hasn't caught up and so I'll I think he's going to be
61:10widely owned for sure and then at my flex it was the last player I picked I had fifty one hundred left
61:17and I did Romeo Dobbs and this is a stupid lineup let's face it the ones I would say aren't stupid Walker
61:24cool JSN cool and Coker and Schultz so four out of nine not stupid so you know I don't think Dobbs is
61:32stupid I mean he's cheap enough as the default wide receiver one we were both wait I think I did pivot off
61:39of tight end last week because maybe Dobbs can repeat maybe once again lovely to talk about this contest with you and
