Aaron Jones

NegativeProjection55:20

The source expects Aaron Jones to be heavily rostered in DFS this week and believes the Packers will try to ride him as much as possible against the Bears, with potential mixing in of other backs like DeMond Claiborne. The Bears' defense does not present a significant concern.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

PositiveMatchup52:00

The source is stacking Baker Mayfield at $5,600 with Mike Evans against the Browns in a revenge game. Despite Mayfield's fumbling issues, the source believes the Buccaneers' offensive plan centers on early and frequent targets to Evans, making the stack attractive for DFS.

Insight page

Blake Corum

NegativeRole22:00

Corum is ranked as a usable second running back in the 49ers offense, similar to how other backup running backs are evaluated; his role is secondary to Christian McCaffrey.

Insight page
PositiveRole22:21

The source ranks Blake Corum as a usable player and one spot ahead of Kalen Black, positioning him as a viable second running back option; Corum is on a good offense and could see more work than expected.

Insight page

Carson Wentz

PositiveProjection47:00

The source is building a DFS stack around Carson Wentz starting for the Vikings against the Bears defense, which is described as permissive. Wentz is priced at only $4,600, making him an attractive value play to pair with Justin Jefferson in a stack against a Bears defense that seems designed to allow offensive production.

Insight page

Chris Brooks

NegativeUsage12:15

Brooks looked slightly better than Lloyd in the Packers backfield split; stayed behind blockers and came up just short of a touchdown; had a strong first carry of 15 yards, the only significant play either back produced; ranked RB41 due to frustrating split backfield and tough matchup on the road against a strong Jets defense.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeInjury18:18

McCaffrey dealt with cramps in week one, raising questions about whether he returns to his normal workhorse role or if the 49ers implement a planned workload split with Kalen Black to mitigate injury risk; if the team is actually committing to keeping him healthy through shared carries, it could be positive for both his durability and Black's value.

Insight page
PositiveRole22:21

The source views McCaffrey positively in the 49ers' new offensive approach, noting he's 'always going to score' and 'always going to be good' as a great player; the source ranks second running backs as usable players but emphasizes McCaffrey's elite status and effectiveness with a one-cut, hit-it, punish-a-tackler running style.

Insight page

Christian Watson

NegativeProjection57:00

Christian Watson received positive headlines from the Packers' Week 1 performance, but Matthew Golden out-targeted him and looked like the more obvious wide receiver option. The source chose Golden at $4,700 over Watson for DFS.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

NegativeProjection59:00

Despite receiving significant hype on the show with analysts suggesting him as a tight end two ahead of Trey McBride, Loveland failed to catch a single pass in the Bears' 59-point scoring game. The source remains bullish on Loveland's talent but acknowledges the Week 1 disappointment.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

PositiveMatchup41:21

DJ Moore had a solid Week 1 with five catches for eight targets and a touchdown against Stingley; the source expects Moore to have an even bigger Week 2 against the Bills, as the Lions lack a cornerback of Stingley's caliber; Moore is ranked as a must-start and elite wide receiver one in the Lions offense, with the source ranking him at WR10 for Week 2.

Insight page

Dalton Kincaid

PositiveRole39:06

Dalton Kincaid had a strong Week 1 performance with a key catch that set up the winning score and an impressive play before halftime; the source 'fully gave in' on Kincaid and moved him up significantly in rest-of-season rankings; Kincaid was second on the team in routes and targets, operating as the team's wide receiver two; notably, he started Week 2 not on the injury report, which is unusual for Kincaid who typically ends up on the injury report after big games; ranked inside the source's top five tight ends for Week 2.

Insight page

Demond Claiborne

NegativeRole55:20

The source expects the Packers to ride Aaron Jones heavily against the Bears but notes that DeMond Claiborne or another back could be mixed in for additional carries.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

PositiveProjection54:00

The source is using Derrick Henry at $7,200 against the Saints, noting that when you can afford him, you should. The Saints' defense allowed significant production to Jameer Gibbs in the first half against Detroit, suggesting a favorable matchup for Henry's rushing volume.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeMatchup23:36

Drake London faced poor quarterback play from Cooper Rush in Week 1, getting open repeatedly but receiving inaccurate throws; the source watched the tape and saw London 'bullying' coverage but Rush unable to deliver the ball on time or accurately, resulting in London falling from a plug-and-play WR1 to the 'wide receiver three and infinite sadness bucket' for Week 2; now facing JC Horn coverage, the source lowered London to WR15 in rankings, down from his previous tier.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeRole21:00

Dobbins did not look good in week one and the role was not appealing; ranked below Kalen Black despite being drafted ahead of him, suggesting a significant downgrade in expectations after week one performance.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeProjection50:00

The source is placing Jamar Chase in the flex spot of a DFS lineup at $7,600 after he underperformed in Week 1, using the flex designation as a way to 'deliver a message' and allow Chase to 'work his way back.' This reflects skepticism about Chase's immediate production despite his premium salary.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

NegativeInjury55:20

Jordan Mason is on injured reserve, which affects the 49ers' backfield composition for Week 2.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

PositiveProjection44:47

With Carson Wentz starting for the Vikings against the Bears, Jefferson is expected to return to his usual stellar form; the source notes that when Jefferson has a capable quarterback, he can look like his usual self, contrasting with his experience under J.J. McCarthy and Max Brosber last year. At $7,800 salary, the source is building a DFS lineup around Jefferson as a premium stud.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeUsage12:15

Lloyd looked poor on tape with cutting angles that were off and facing the sidelines, requiring 90-degree cuts; went down on first contact every time despite analytics showing 2.5 yards after contact per touch; consensus rankings have him at RB30 based on box score (more carries), but much of that volume came late in the game when the game was decided.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveProjection57:00

The source selected Matthew Golden at $4,700 for DFS, noting that Golden looked like a true and obvious wide receiver for the Packers and out-targeted Christian Watson. At the modest $4,700 price, the source is comfortable with the selection despite Watson receiving more headlines.

Insight page

Mike Evans

PositiveUsage52:00

The source observed in the Buccaneers-Bengals game that the offensive plan seemed to be 'Abuka early and often,' and is stacking Evans at $6,400 with Baker Mayfield against the Browns, expecting high volume and yards. The source anticipates 'bonkers amounts of yards' from the Buccaneers offense against Cleveland's defense.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveBreakout56:00

The source believes Parker Washington is poised to become a top-12 receiver in fantasy, citing not just his Week 1 production but the way he looks on film. At $5,900, the source considers him underpriced despite concerns about potential usage of Travis Hunter on offense cutting into his targets.

Insight page

Pat Bryant

PositiveProjection60:40

The source noted that Pat Bryant at $4,200 looked like the number one receiver at times in the Packers game, making him a cheap option for DFS consideration.

Insight page

Rashod Bateman

PositiveUsage28:31

Rashad Bateman led the Ravens in routes run in Week 1 but received only one target, a zero-point performance; despite being a full-time player, he ran 40 routes for one target, which the source calls 'the trappiest of all traps'; the source acknowledges Bateman has boosters like Matt Harmon who believe he's a good player, but a lengthy injury history and consistent underproduction have made the source skeptical; ranked at WR42 heading into a shootout against New Orleans, but the source 'couldn't punish him as much as the tape warranted' despite considering it.

Insight page

Rico Dowdle

NegativeRole21:00

Dowdle looked sluggish in week one and is ranked below Kalen Black despite likely being drafted ahead of him, indicating a downgrade in expectations after his week one performance.

Insight page

Romeo Doubs

NegativeProjection32:48

Romeo Dobbs looked 'horrendous' in Week 1 with poor ball tracking on an interception and a drop on a wide-open third-down catch, ranking outside the top 100 based on tape; however, the source acknowledges a larger sample from his Green Bay tenure suggests he's a 'decent NFL player' and shouldn't be completely overreacted to; ranked at WR40 (two spots ahead of Bateman), the source expects the Patriots to game-plan him as a focal point in Week 2, but harbors lingering concerns that Matt Collins, Navarro Douglas, or Hunter Henry could end up getting extra work, making Dobbs a 'frustrating guy that doesn't do much again.'

Insight page

Travis Hunter

NegativeRole56:00

The source expressed concern that Travis Hunter could be used on offense for a few plays, which might cut into Parker Washington's target share and production.

Insight page

Trey McBride

PositiveProjection59:00

The source considered Trey McBride for DFS but ultimately could not afford him at the tight end position while also affording a premium flex player. McBride remains a consideration for lineups with different salary allocations.

Insight page

Woody Marks

NegativeValue60:20

The source mentioned Woody Marks at $4,500 as a cheap running back option for DFS consideration, though not as a primary selection.

0:00It's the Harris Football Podcast with your host, Christopher Harris.
0:03Hey everybody, welcome in. My name is Chris. This show practices pure hydration.
0:08Hello there everybody. Thank you so much for being here today.
0:11If you are a Yacht Club subscriber, you got to hear a fairly discursive conversation on Wednesday's Yacht Club show where we
0:19talked about a lot of Week 2 Ranks and a lot of observations about what we saw in Week 1 and what
0:26these environments might be as opposed to whatever everybody was thoroughly convinced they were before the season started.
0:32And now we are back here on the free side today and we'll definitely talk some of that later in the show for sure.
0:40I wanted to start by thanking Rainn Wilson who had me on his Instagram Live on Tuesday with like 3.7 million followers.
0:48That was kind of nice. And I know that some of you have watched that reel which lives on both on his Instagram page and on mine.
0:57You can see it if you haven't seen it yet.
1:00It's fun. It's like 20 minutes of us talking.
1:03I'll put a link in the show notes today in case you haven't seen it.
1:08Honestly, the best thing you could do, go on over there right now and just mention in the thread of comments that I got the book.
1:17I'm reading the book. I finished the book. It's really great because Rainn has a huge audience.
1:23So like if those folks see that people like Pound Foolish, that would be awesome.
1:28I really do appreciate that. In fact, I appreciate it so much.
1:32Time for your snarky email. Oh, this is for Harris.
1:35Mmm, that sounds so good. It's like an angel singing.
1:39It really is exactly like angel singing. We need to catch up on the mailbag.
1:44It's been a little while. Remember, you can send your snark to heyharris at harrishopal.com.
1:49As always, please let me know where you're writing from or don't.
1:53That's okay, too. These are serious catch-up emails. Some of these are from early August.
1:58You know how it goes. I will catch up here as best I can.
2:03Ray Sroka from Buffalo. Hey, Harris. I've been so good for the past few years.
2:08But after your opening to a recent show, I decided to break the rule and see exactly what I was missing by
2:15not sampling August fantasy content in 2026. So I jump over to a certain four-letter network site, and the first article I
2:23see is, Fantasy Football Insurance Rankings, Which Backups Are Must Drafts?
2:26Against your recommendation. And my better judgment. No click discipline here.
2:30I click. Sigh. Instant regret. The author proceeds to give one example of a backup who popped last year, then lists 16 handcuff running backs.
2:39Yes, he literally, literally listed half of the backup RBs in the league in an article hailing them as must drafts.
2:46To the author, I slay. Thank you, sir, for that is highly actionable information.
2:50Hashtag never again. Hashtag click discipline forever. Nate from Jersey Shore.
2:54Hey, Harris. Look, I know I just bought the almanac and you said you're going to bribe us to buy the new book.
3:02But now you started a survey company too? And Nate includes a screen cap of the Harris Poll offering a $5 gift card for taking your survey.
3:11Nate says, The timing of this cannot be ignored.
3:14$5 practically pays for a quarter of the book.
3:17That's a fair point. Chris Derrick from Parts Unknown.
3:20Hey, Harris. You're always imploring us to let you know where we're writing from.
3:25And yet many correspondents fail to include a location.
3:28The reason is simple. Saying Chris from Parts Unknown is just way, way cooler than Chris from Redacted.
3:34Okay, Chris from Redacted. Also kind of cool, but you get my point.
3:38If you want more geographical information, you really need to think about which behaviors you're rewarding.
3:44I know you're against late-stage capitalism, but it's okay.
3:47Incentives are early-stage capitalism, so it's totally kosher. Signed, Chris from Redacted.
3:51P.S. I wrote to you two years ago the small joy I found singing one of the mixtapes to myself at a
3:58particularly tough time when my son was in the NICU.
4:02I wanted to thank you for reading that email on the show and for the many moments of joy you've brought over the years.
4:10My son is doing great, and I can't wait to start watching football with him in earnest.
4:15I promise not to let him read training camp reports.
4:19I just wanted to end the P.S. there. That's awesome.
4:22Jim from Narragansett. Hey, Barons. Hey, Barons. Hearing that you won't be completing the Taco Bell challenge.
4:28I hope the outbreak of cyclospora did not get in the way of your training for the marathon.
4:34Keep fighting the good fight. Cole Helms, South Texas.
4:37Hey, Harris. Sorry to burst your gastric bubble, but I need to speak up about a topic that's been in the media
4:44recently, I think by which Cole means on my show.
4:48Stress farts. They are not real. Numerous bodily functions are subconsciously controlled by the autonomic nervous system.
4:54The ANS is made up of two systems, sympathetic and parasympathetic.
4:57When one is active, the other is not. Sympathetic equals fight or flight.
5:02Stress response. Parasympathetic, rest and digest. No stress. Gastrointestinal tract is active.
5:06Farts. Like Highlander, there can be only one. Love the show.
5:09Cole in South Texas. Great doctor. Blind spot for dips.
5:13That's the lore, baby. I just love it. I mean, I'll take the information about stress farts, but the idea that a
5:20wonderful doctor in South Texas remembers Josh saying, Dr.
5:23Mike. Blind spot for dips. Blair Harmon in Minnesota.
5:26Hey, Harris. Just wanted to share an incredible picture I took of my toddler girly with Jameis Winston.
5:32And it is the most delightful picture of a toddler girly in front of a Boost Mobile that has a two-story, wacky, waving, inflatable, arm-flowing tube man.
5:41And the toddler girly is absolutely delighted in this photo, and it tickles me.
5:46Brian Craker from Brooklyn. Hey, Harris. Now that my lad McConkie is almost two, your almanac gave us a new bonding moment.
5:54Yesterday morning, I was laying on my Lisa mattress.
5:57When I opened up the Harris Football Almanac for the first time this year.
6:01But with a toddler, I rarely have a moment to myself.
6:05And sure enough, my boy burst into the room with the energy of a surf movie villain demanding I include him in my reading.
6:13So I indulged him and read to him almanac entries until he fell asleep on my chest to the words of a
6:21fictional captain waxing poetic about Drake May. This show is so stupid.
6:25Brandon DePello from Parts Unknown. Hey, Harris. Long-time listener, first-time emailer, my son, who colloquially refers to you as the funny guy,
6:32has been on an absolute tear recently. His favorite lunch is ham and mayo.
6:37No cheese, no seasoning. He wants it every day.
6:40Now, I have never seen a single minute of Dolphins rookie receiver Kevin Coleman play football, but I hereby nominate ham mayo to be his nickname.
6:49Ah, this show is so stupid. Scott Dolan, Wichita, Kansas.
6:52Hey, Harris. I propose Bucky Irving's nickname be changed to foot shoulder soldier.
6:56Knowing how difficult that will be for you to say based on the word cumulative, maybe foot shoulder will always sound like foot soldier.
7:04Sure. Thanks. I will hang up and listen. I love how stupid the show is.
7:09Matt Heller from San Francisco. Hey, Harris. I have time to write you on this Wednesday because I have no podcast to
7:17listen to as I am one of the, I assume many, of your freeloader listeners who doesn't pay for your special Wednesday
7:24show or buy any products you sell or advertise.
7:27This is great, Matt. Thanks. Thanks for copying to the being.
7:31Okay. The email continues. And it occurred to me, what do we call your listeners who completely freeload off you?
7:38Listeners who don't read books or draft guides, sleep on the floor, drink only water, don't clean their houses and so have
7:45no use for blue land, prefer store-bought hot dog buns to actual fresh baked bread, et cetera.
7:51Do we call them stowaway possums, dingy possums, puddle possums?
7:54All of these have some charm. But I think the actual answer is dock raccoons.
7:59Not allowed on the yacht. We still watch its movements from the dock intently.
8:04We scavenge through the yacht's free refuse whilst the true possums bask on the deck, reading their pre-ordered copies of Bound Foolish
8:12and the draft guide while eating their fresh bread and discussing the corporate structure of Cumulative Press Incorporated, we wait knowing that
8:19while every Wednesday will be barren, there will be enough leftovers from the Thursday podcast feast for all the dock raccoons to eat their fill.
8:27Mike Harvey from Parts Unknown. Hey Harris, I felt I had to write in to express my dismay at how football people
8:35have found yet another totally unnecessary combination of words to express something pretty obvious.
8:40Contingent upside. Check me on this one. Contingent upside refers to the fact that if the primary option gets hurt, hurt the other guy would have more value.
8:49With this revelatory phrase in mind, I got to thinking about other things that have contingent upside.
8:55Like my bicycle, for example. If my car doesn't run, my bike has massive contingent upside.
9:00If my favorite Viore joggers are dirty, these Kirkland brand sweats, huge contingent upside.
9:05The ice cream shop is out of strawberry. Oh, the vanilla has contingent upside.
9:10See how smart I am? This show is so stupid.
9:13Josh Soares, Cranston, Rhode Island. Hey Harris, in the bribery drawings for Pound Foolish, is it possible to give away the ability
9:20to draft for Andy Behrens in the movie draft as a bribery prize?
9:25The thing is, I hear you, Josh. But if you've been listening on Wednesday, it turns out Andy is going to crush
9:32me, I think, for this two-month period. It only took a year for him to come back.
9:38There are others that I need to catch up with.
9:41And please do send more. They're great. Man, I busted a gut reading these.
9:46Hey Harris at harrishwoball.com. We'll wrap up today with this one.
9:50Jordan Santos from Parts Unknown. Hey Harris, I just wanted to let you know, I happened across a fantasy podcast entitled, Plant
9:57My Flag, Fantasy Stars We're All In On, and couldn't help but chuckle thinking, I wonder if Harris got his royalty check.
10:05It may have been the title of a podcast by a former employer of yours.
10:10Smiley face. Buddy. Knowing the way that particular network does business, yes, I am sure that royalty check is coming my way anytime now.
10:18Today's kickoff. Okay, on today's show, first up, we will discuss some week two ranks.
10:23And to help me with that, Dave Kluge from Football Guys will join.
10:27Dave has brought his five hardest-to-rank players of week two, and we will discuss them.
10:32He and I will also preview a very attractive Thursday night game, Lions at Bills.
10:37And then my second guest, he is back from his vacation.
10:41It is Jake Trowbridge, and we will talk about our fun DraftKings DFS contest that we've been doing on the show for 11 years now.
10:49I think you'll have fun. I thank you again so much for listening today.
10:54We are, in fact, sponsored by Wild Grain today.
10:57You probably have heard me talk about them before, as the snark bag just indicated.
11:02This is such a great time to finally give Wild Grain a try.

12:06It'll change your life. Wildgrain.com slash harris. It's time for Rankings Talk.
12:10Welcome to... He's got two sets of ranks to win the contest.
12:14He's got two sets of ranks to win. And here he is.
12:19Our first guest is, in fact, the aforementioned Dave Kluge.
12:22You can find him at Football Guys. You can find him all over social media.
12:27You can listen to him every day on his show, The Football Guys Fantasy Football Show.
12:32It's a good one. I've been on it. He's terrific.
12:36It's Dave Kluge. Hi, Dave. Hey, Chris. How are you doing?
12:39We were just talking a pre-show about how fun this time of year is having real football to finally watch after a long, long break.
12:48Yeah, long speculation about what the teams would be.
12:51And Andy and I talked about it a lot on the Yacht Club show yesterday.
12:56This really is my absolute favorite week. This week of shows is so fun.
13:01And, of course, we recognize that there are going to be a lot of things that fake us out.
13:07You know, the Gerard Mayo Patriots beat the Joe Burrow Bengals on the road in week one one year.
13:14And I was like, see? And then, no, I was wrong.
13:17So, like, we absolutely might get faked out. But it's still, I said to Andy yesterday, if you think about the delta
13:25of what a week teaches us from the beginning of the week to the end, there's no delta like week zero to
13:32week one for, you know, there's more information to come.
13:35We're going to learn lots more. But we'll never learn as much as we learned last week.
13:41Yeah, I think the main thing that I learned is that my mind palace was built on a foundation of wet sand.
13:49I mean, we all have them. We definitely have the mind palaces.
13:53We're just trying, you know, for me, I'm trying to make our assumptions mean as little as possible, but it's impossible to make them be zero.
14:01So, your task for this show was just as you were making your ranks for week two to come up with the
14:09five guys you had the hardest time ranking. And I don't even know who they are yet.
14:15And they may be repeats from yesterday. And I don't care because I want your opinion on them.
14:21So, let's just do a list of five. The order really doesn't matter.
14:25But who did you want to talk about first?
14:28I'm going to break the rules right off the jump and I'm going to do a two for one because I was
14:35looking at Chris Brooks and Marshawn Lloyd and, you know, the Packers running backs trying to figure out where to rank these guys.
14:43And I have no idea because they both, frankly, looked pretty bad to me.
14:48I mean, like, there wasn't anything that I could take away from either of their games saying, like, that should be the guy.
14:56That's the guy who's going to get the workload next week.
14:59So, what I see is a frustrating split backfield.
15:02I guess if I had to lean one way, I'd say that Brooks looked slightly better.
15:08You know, he stayed behind his blockers, came up just short of a touchdown.
15:13But, you know, I look at this matchup on the road against the Jets.
15:17The Jets defense looked a lot better in week one than I think a lot of people expected them to be.
15:24So, now I'm looking at a team going on the road against a tough defense, splitting touches between two running backs that I don't think are especially good.
15:34I kind of copped out and I put them both at RB40 and RB41 back-to-back, which means that you should probably bench
15:41them both if you're going off of my rankings.
15:44But I understand why people would say, no, like, these guys are getting enough work that I want to get them in my lineups.
15:52You absolutely have my endorsement here. I put Lloyd38 and Brooks41.
15:56All right. I don't know. I don't know. It would be tough for me to really feel awesome about extending myself to use them.
16:04It's funny. We had Sam Gold on Monday and he picked that game.
16:09So, Sam talked about what Lloyd looked like on tape and he gave a lot of kind of technical explanations of why
16:16it didn't look good about like his cutting angles were funny and he was kind of like, when he needed to cut, he was like facing the sidelines.
16:25So, he's having to make these 90-degree cuts, which you never want.
16:30All of which was awesome technical analysis. And my analysis was, dude, that guy looks slow.
16:35Yes. And went down on first contact every single time.
16:38Like, you know, I look at the analytics somehow show that he had two and a half yards after contact per time.
16:46I didn't see that. Like, I saw this guy every time a defender would touch him, he would just immediately hit the turf.
16:53It makes you wonder whether they will take a look at Caleb Johnson at some point.
16:59They can't have felt good about what that looked like.
17:02You know, to be honest, you putting Brooks a little bit ahead of Lloyd, excuse me, matches what I saw too.
17:09And like, if I were just going to like break down individual carries, I'd say I thought Brooks looked better.
17:16I mean, the first carry of the game was like 15 yards.
17:20It was the only thing either one of them did.
17:23And so, I kind of admire the fact that you went Brooks a little higher, but I'm with you.
17:30Like, very difficult to rank those guys. And then the weird thing too, I know we don't care what other people are
17:37doing, but you know, consensus rankings, which will not be named, have a huge disparity between these guys where they're putting Marshawn
17:45Lloyd as the RB30 and Chris Brooks as the RB49.
17:48So, I think a lot of people just look at the box score and they say, well, Marshawn Lloyd had more carries, so he is the preferred back.
17:58But so much of that came late in the game.
18:01I think this is one that like, if you just say, I want to bench both of these guys and just wait
18:08to see how this backfield plays out, I think that's probably the best move this week.
18:14Good point. Agree. What is the next player you want to talk about?
18:18Kalen Black, because I thought that he looked pretty darn good.
18:22You know, he is a hard-nosed runner, gets downhill aggressively, and those are all the things that we know Kyle Shanahan really likes about his running backs.
18:31And the workload was there in week one. 14 carries and a reception.
18:35But then we get that story about Christian McCaffrey dealing with cramps.
18:39So, do we think Christian McCaffrey just goes back to his normal workhorse role and Kalen Black is just watching from the sidelines?
18:47I think in most situations, I'd say, you know, just bench Kalen Black and wait to see how this shakes out.
18:54But then I see that matchup against Miami. And I can't help but get enticed that maybe there could be enough left
19:02over for Kalen Black to still get a similar workload to what he got last week.
19:07And if you're telling me that a guy who I think is pretty talented, a young guy who runs with a really,
19:14really heavy running style, if you told me that he's going to get 15 touches every single week, I'd be getting this
19:22guy in my lineup, especially against Miami. But I don't know how much involvement we can expect now with a week of
19:29rest and hopefully Christian McCaffrey not cramping up mid-game.
19:32That's a good one. Where'd you line? I put him 40, so like right behind the Packer.
19:38Oh, actually, like right between the Packer guys. Were you able to get him higher?
19:43I do, yeah. So maybe I'm taking the cheese here.
19:47I've got him at RB33, which I guess would recommend him as an RB3 or a flex matchup if you're not feeling great about your running back room.
19:56I love the matchup. You know, going up against Miami, like that alone could be the reason that you start him.
20:03So I kind of feel scared recommending him as a start, though, because you know how this can go, that you can
20:10put him in your lineups coming off of last week.
20:14Christian McCaffrey gets all the touches. Kalen Black's sitting there with two, three touches, and you're saying, why did I start this guy?
20:22Yeah, that was my thought process, but I don't find that like 33 to 40 to be, you know, if you had
20:29said I have him 22, I'd be like, oh, that's a real statement.
20:33But, you know, you're comparing him to like an unseen Travion Henderson, you know, the backup, the Chris Rodriguez backup, the Broncos
20:41guys, like, and if you're comparing him to those guys and you just go, hell, he's coming off a really nice week
20:48where we got to see him play in the NFL and he absolutely looked like he had a home there.
20:55I don't get mad at that at all. I absolutely think that's like a smart way to rank it, to be honest.
21:02And a couple guys that, oh, sorry. No, you go ahead.
21:06A couple guys that I do have Kalen Black ranked ahead of that you probably wouldn't like think about starting him, like J.K.
21:14Dobbins did not like the role that I saw and he didn't look especially good last week.
21:20So I've got Kalen Black just ahead of J.K.
21:23Dobbins, Rico Dowdle, who I also thought looked pretty sluggish last week.
21:27So there are some guys that you probably drafted ahead of Kalen Black that because you drafted him ahead of, you'd assume that you'd be starting ahead of.
21:36But I mean, I have moved Kalen Black ahead of quite a few guys that I would have been drafting ahead of him just a week ago.
21:45Yeah, that's the neighborhood that I'm talking about. I'm not mad at any of that.
21:50You can get burned. The person who would consider using Black and they don't have McCaffrey understands that they're taking a chance.
21:58And if you get a two-week sample size of a workload that's split like that where, wow, you mean on the first
22:05couple series somebody other than Christian McCaffrey is carrying the ball?
22:09Huh. You know, now it's not just about cramping and muscle tightness or whatever McCaffrey's had all this time.
22:15It's actually just, it becomes clearly a plan to mitigate McCaffrey, to try to keep him healthy.
22:21The thing we've been asking for for years with the 49ers, please do this.
22:26If they're actually doing it, I think it's great for both of them.
22:30I think it's great for CMC because he's always going to score.
22:34He's always going to be good. He's a great player.
22:38Plus, you know, we rank Blake Corum as a usable player.
22:41We rank second running backs as usable players. And, you know, Kalen Black is not.
22:46Christian McCaffrey, he probably didn't show a huge change of direction.
22:50But I absolutely agree with your assessment that, like, a one cut, hit it, punish a tackler.
22:56Like, cool, that works. That's really good. And Blake Corum, I've got Blake Corum one spot ahead of Kalen Black, so that's kind of where I'm settling in.
23:05Like, these guys that are on good offenses that are good running backs that could see, you know, more work than I think people would have expected.
23:14Are the Rams a good offense? I don't know, man.
23:18They certainly weren't on a little sleep traveling to Australia, but we'll see how they bounce back.
23:23I'm not ready to write them off for one week.
23:27I tease, but I also panic because, you know, I made a lot of noise about Matthew Stafford.
23:33How about a third player you wanted to talk about?
23:36This one seems silly because it's Drake London and Drake London, undoubtedly awesome player, one of my favorite wide receivers.
23:43I know you're a fan as well, Chris, but man, I watched that game back last week and it was so, so bad.
23:51Cooper Rush is just terrible and like, I don't even think he's terrible.
23:55I think that he's a serviceable backup, but I think on the limited time that he's been in Atlanta, I don't know
24:03if he just doesn't know the playbook or what's going on, but I saw Drake London doing what Drake London does.
24:10Like he was just bullying Jamal Dean. He was getting wide open, but we just saw so many bad throws.
24:16You know, the first play of the game, Drake London is wide open and Cooper Rush just lollipops this ball to him
24:24like where it should have been like just a quick turnaround, catch the ball, pick up a first down.
24:30Instead, by the time the ball gets to Drake London, he's getting swarmed by seven defenders.
24:36We saw another one just batted at the line of scrimmage.
24:39We saw another one just missing him wide open from five yards out.
24:44I mean, there was one good play that we saw where it was the deep shot down the sideline that Drake London
24:51caught for a 27-yard gain or something like that, but outside of that, like I saw Drake London getting open the entire
24:59game and Cooper Rush just being incapable of getting the ball to him.
25:03So if Cooper Rush is starting again, now he's got this matchup where Drake London is going to be getting coverage from JC Horn.
25:11I think Drake London is one of those guys that you just view as a plug-and-play wide receiver one, but I think
25:19this week he falls into, to steal your terminology, the wide receiver three and infinite sadness bucket.
25:24Somebody we talked about yesterday and Barron's has him lower than I do too.
25:29I lowered him, I lowered London but I lowered him to like 15.
25:33That's exactly where I have him, Chris. Oh, okay.
25:36Oh, okay. Then, because Barron's put him down at like, I can't remember, 27 or something.
25:42Like he like really tried to communicate like I'm terrified and who wouldn't understand it.
25:47So, and by the way, like I wanted to just, because you prefaced by saying maybe this is wrong because we're probably starting this guy.
25:55I mean, I, your task is the hardest to rank players and I absolutely sat there with Drake London's name on my
26:03list going, huh, what the hell do I do?
26:06After, after what that looked like, what the hell do I do with Drake London?
26:11I'm with you that I, I, I, you know, probably the way to say it is I didn't punish him as much as the tape warranted.
26:20It probably warranted a heavier punishment and I, I couldn't do it.
26:24I couldn't take my second round pick and be like, sorry, you know, I just, I'm not going to use you in
26:31week two, but God, I understand why you're talking about him.
26:35And that's it. You know, you talk about how like tight everybody is once you get past that kind of like elite tier of wide receivers.
26:44So when I'm looking at my rankings right now, I've got Drake London at wide receiver 15.
26:49I've got Stefan Diggs at wide receiver 33. But if I'm setting lineups, that's something that like, I am going to be
26:57wondering, like, do I play Stefan Diggs over Drake London?
27:00Because it's just like that whole glob of guys from 15 to 30, whatever.
27:05Like we really are splitting hairs there. And that's, that's I think the difference for me is Drake London was always ahead
27:12of that tier and now it feels like he just falls into that bucket.
27:17We are sponsored by pre-alcohol from ZBiotics. And you know, I don't drink like every night, but when I do drink alcohol,
27:24you had better believe I make pre-alcohol from Z Biotics my first drink of the night.
27:30I've heard from a whole bunch of listeners who swear by it.
27:34One gent in Tacoma orders it in the packs of 12 little vials every couple of weeks.
27:40So they always have some available at their Sunday football parties.
27:43It's the world's first genetically engineered probiotic developed to tackle rough mornings after drinking.
27:48And it is science. And it really works. It truly does for me.
27:52Making pre-alcohol my first drink of the night and enjoying responsibly, I just do.
27:57I feel my best in the morning. But who cares about me?
28:01You can try it out. And if it doesn't work for you, Z Biotics will refund you.
28:07No questions asked. I can get you 15% off your first order.
28:11Go to zbiotics.com slash Harris and use the code Harris when you check out.
28:16You'll get 15% off your first order with a total happiness guarantee.
28:20Zbiotics.com slash Harris and use that code Harris. for week two and hopefully helping you make some lineup decisions.
28:26What's another player you wanted to mention here as a difficult to rank guy?
28:31Rashad Bateman. This feels like a guy that you shouldn't even think about starting.
28:36But then you look, say Flowers is hurt, Jacoby Lane is hurt.
28:40You look at the other guys on that roster, Devontez Walker, LeJonte Wester, Chris Moore, like there's nobody else there.
28:46And last week, Rashad Bateman led the team in routes runs.
28:50So he's very much so a full-time player in this offense.
28:54But it was just running cardio routes. You know, 40 routes in one target is not what you want to see from anybody.
29:02So this feels like the trappiest of all traps because now going into New Orleans, we expect this game to be a shootout.
29:09Vegas also expects this game to be a shootout.
29:12So I've kind of got him in that cluster of wide receiver three flex plays at wide receiver 42.
29:19But at the same time, how could you feel good starting anybody coming off of a one target zero point game?
29:26Not only that, but he's Rashad Bateman. We just have such a long history of this dude who he has his boosters.
29:33He has boosters whose opinion I cherish. Matt Harmon just thinks Rashad Bateman is a very good player who's just somehow never, circumstances have always conspired.
29:42You know, there's a game where he's going to be featured but the quarterback isn't right.
29:47Or the injury, the lengthy injury history. Right. That's right.
29:51That's right. Like, I can't, I don't want to just completely disavow the idea that he's a good player and we just haven't gotten to see it yet.
30:00But we've been through it so many times that I put him at 48.
30:05But again, yes, I had, like if Zay Flowers is going to be active and play, I have a Zay Flower just
30:12out of my lineup right now, out of my ranks right now.
30:16But like, that could be wrong. I don't, I have no idea if that's right.
30:21We're going to find out over the course of the next couple days.
30:26This is as high as I could get him.
30:29I put him one spot behind Caleb Douglas and I was like, what am I doing?
30:34You know, this seems crazy, but I just have been burned so many times.
30:39He's a dude I just can't see myself taking a chance on.
30:43It feels dumb though. Yeah. And I've got him in my rankings right now.
30:48I'm also not ranking Zay Flowers. It sounds like he's probably going to miss week two, unfortunately.
30:54But it's kind of funny when I look at my rankings, I've got Jordan Addison and Rashad Bateman back to back two
31:01first round picks that have their supporters that like we think can still be kind of good, but just has never really translated to consistent production.
31:10So this is one of those where like it feels like he should be a start this week.
31:16And if you've got Rashad Bateman, you want to try to get him in your lineup if Zay Flowers isn't out there.
31:23But like I said, how could you feel good starting a guy coming off of a zero point game when we got
31:31so much positivity throughout training camp that, you know, Declan Doyle had him running more routes and that he was going to
31:38be a more featured part of this offense and none of that materialized in week one.
31:43Because he's Rashad Bateman, you know, because like it's just we I never believe this stuff on Bateman anymore.
31:50So it's funny. I have Rashad Bateman and Mac Hollins back to back.
31:54Oh, boy. I mean, you know, like I've just been around the block too many times with both of those players where
32:02teams were like, well, now we need this guy.
32:05Now it really, you know, now it's for real for them.
32:08And then the minute it's for real, you go, okay, cool.
32:12They can't get open. Cool. That's awesome. So, yeah, I need Matt Collins like I need a hole in the head.
32:19And of course, you know, he's so good at the end of games, Matt Collins.
32:24He's so good. And you just wonder why. And the answer is, oh, yeah, because the defense is paying attention to three
32:32other guys and not covering him, you know, because he's not scary man to man.
32:37But maybe that's wrong. Maybe we'll get a funny Matt Collins surprise.
32:41Maybe we'll get a funny Rashad Bateman surprise. Who is the fifth name of a pretty good segue for Romeo Dobbs, a
32:48guy that I'm really struggling to rank because he looked horrendous in week one.
32:53And I think that we have a big enough sample of him looking like a, you know, decent NFL player in Green
33:00Bay that we don't want to completely overreact to week one.
33:04But, you know, that first interception Drake May threw, I think that was just terrible ball tracking by Romeo Dobbs.
33:11I mean, not a great throw by Drake May, but like that was very much so on Dobbs.
33:17And then we see the drop on the wide open third down catch and run opportunity.
33:22So this is one where like if I'm looking just at last week's tape, I'd say this guy is like outside of the top 100.
33:31He looks awful. But then you look at, you know, the money that they're paying him and the opportunity that should be there in week two.
33:40And there's also a difference and you know this, Chris, like when a player leaves a game mid-injury, you know, coaches are
33:47kind of scrambling to make something work. When they have an entire week to kind of game plan without that player, then
33:54they can reset and try to make Dobbs a more focal point of the offense, which I expect them to be.
34:01But I also have this like lingering thought in the back of my head that what if Matt Collins and Navarro Douglas are just better wide receivers?
34:11What if Hunter Henry ends up getting extra work and Romeo Dobbs, the guy who feels like he should be the wide
34:18receiver one this week, ends up just kind of being a frustrating guy that doesn't do much again in this matchup.
34:25That was a difficult one to rank. I agree with this.
34:29I agree with this whole list to be honest.
34:32Each person that you mentioned that I ranked, I was like, oh, I don't know.
34:37I don't know what to do. The guys are going to like that.
34:41You and I disagree a lot when we do shows together, so it's good to have us just like nodding along like just a bobblehead show.
34:50Like, yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right. Where did you wind up with Dobbs?
34:54One spot ahead of Bateman. I've got him at a wide receiver 40.
34:59So I'm sorry, two spots ahead of Bateman. So they're both just kind of in that close.
35:05Like, you know, I kind of said like when I'm looking at my rankings, I think the kind of cutoff for guys
35:12that you feel okay about getting in your lineup for me is wide receiver 35.
35:17And that's where I've got Diggs and Michael Wilson and Debo Samuel.
35:21Once you get past those guys, then it's Romeo Dobbs, Michael Pittman, Jordan Addison, Rashad Bateman that we just talked about.
35:28So like, those are the guys where I feel like you don't want to get in your lineup.
35:34So I have Dobbs higher than you do. So there's a disagree, even though like the point of the difficulty of the ranking them is absolutely agree.
35:43I just came up with a little more trust in what I've seen from Dobbs in his career.
35:49And that there's, I would be not shocked but a little bit surprised if he's an utter bust as a free agent.
35:57He's just been a good player. Is he a wide receiver 1?
36:01Probably not. Like, this is a little miscast. I have him 31.
36:05So I just basically kind of, it's obviously not based on last week.
36:09It is a leap of faith. And it's, you're absolutely right.
36:13These targets could be spread out to the point where nobody's valuable.
36:17And it's, and it's this good Steeler pass rush.
36:20And it's a run-heavy game plan. And it's like a rock fight that they try to win 17-14 because they're not afraid of the Steeler offense.
36:29Maybe. I don't know. They lost to him at home last year.
36:33I don't know. But I'm making, I'm going to recommend people make a small bet that this guy who, I mean, he had hands problems in Green Bay.
36:42Obviously, he had hands problems on Wednesday night or whatever that was.
36:46He got hurt in Green Bay, got a lot of concussions.
36:50That's on the table too. But, you know, frankly, he was a flake in Green Bay.
36:56He had that week where he just disappeared. MIA got punished.
36:59You know, there have been issues with him in the past.
37:03But mostly, he's been a really good pro. And I'm just letting that sensation inch him a little higher in the ranks and burn me like hell.
37:12Yeah. My brain, go ahead. And I'd love to do like a study on this.
37:17I just don't have time in season. But it does feel like so often these guys that end up like hitting the
37:25free agent market and getting these big contracts, it feels like that hasn't really worked out all that well over the last couple of years.
37:33Like the guys who get traded, they do well with their new teams.
37:37And the guys who get retained by their teams with big contracts, they do well.
37:42But it seems like all of these guys who hit the market, they hit the market for a reason.
37:49Like if Green Bay thought that he was good enough to get the money that he deserved, they would have retained him.
37:56So, you know, I don't want to paint with too wide of a brush here and generalize, but it seems like more
38:04often than not over the last decade or so these big contracts that these receivers get in free agency.
38:10I'm looking at you, Jalen Naylor. I saw you last week too in Las Vegas.
38:15Like these guys aren't really living up to the hype that they should have been.
38:20Yeah. I mean, Diggs did okay for the Patriots last year.
38:24You know, it's anecdotal. I'm glad you qualified it for receivers because the running backs have obviously Right.
38:30100%. They've been awesome. Yeah. The receivers, well, that's something to think about.
38:34Let's do this. Thursday night preview. A Thursday night preview of the Lions visiting the Bills and these are rosters that are
38:42stocked with people that we're mostly going to use.
38:45Fantasy superstars, both backfields. Josh Allen, I think, I mean, based on Andy's conversation with Andy yesterday, he's kind of all the
38:52way back in on Jared Goff as a top 10 option and DJ Moore, I think, is going to be in most
39:00lineups and both of the Lion receivers and Sam Laporta.
39:03I kind of wanted to ask you because I was talking some smack about Dalton Kincaid and I did not like his ADP.
39:11I'm saying before the season. Oh, right. I was talking some smack because his ADP was still kind of like bordering on
39:18that top 10 and we'd never really seen a world where the other DK on that team, Dawson Knox, wasn't annoying and
39:26boy, we get week one and all I can say is holy moly.
39:30Like the catch that set up the winning score, good play, good scheme, got him open, beat a corner, that was good.
39:37The play right before half, oh my God. If I'd seen that from Dalton Kincaid, I would not have been talking smack about him.
39:46I fully gave in on Kincaid. He's inside my top five for this week.
39:50Oh yeah, same. I moved him up. Even in my rest of season rankings, he was a big mover for me because
39:58you know the best thing about his game, Chris, you know, more than the catches and the catch and runs and all that sort of stuff.
40:06He started the week not on the injury report.
40:10Like this never happens. Like every time Dalton Kincaid is a big game, he seemingly ends up on the injury report the next week.
40:18So I'm a believer in Dalton Kincaid and just the fact that he's healthy right now.
40:23I think you got to get him in your lineups until he inevitably picks up some soft tissue injury as he does every single year.
40:31But yeah, he looked awesome. Second on the team in routes, second on the team in targets.
40:37I mean, this is what you want from the fantasy tight end is a guy who's kind of operating as the team's
40:45wide receiver too and that's very much so what Kincaid is doing right now.
40:49Yeah, these are my two and three tight ends for the week.
40:53So let's get some tight end action from this one.
40:57And correspondingly, probably that means if you're a person who streams defenses, I imagine we're staying pretty far away from even though,
41:04you know, the Lions, I don't know. I'll say the, you know, the weird game flow of that Lions Saints game was
41:12maybe revelatory that at some point the Saints were able to come back and whatever.
41:17But it did feel like the Lions played a lot better on defense than I expected given how many people they're missing in their secondary.
41:25But against Josh Allen, you don't want any part of that.
41:29And I think that's what I'm probably most excited to watch tonight.
41:33I mean, we saw like DJ Moore had tough sledding last week with Stingley on him and the Lions don't have anybody of that caliber.
41:41So we saw DJ Moore, you know, five for eight with a hundred and a touchdown last week.
41:47I think he could have an even bigger week.
41:50I don't know where you've got him in your rankings.
41:54Like you said, kind of a must start, but I've got him at wide receiver 10 this week.
42:00I think he's just one of those guys that like we should be looking at as an elite wide receiver one in this offense.
42:0810. I got him 10. Yeah. Wow. Too much agreement, Chris.
42:12We got to start looking at some different things and button heads again because this is going to be a boring show
42:19for the people that want some disagreements. No, not at all.
42:23Romeo Dobbs. There you go. I'm putting Romeo Dobbs in a lineup and you're not.
42:28No, but I mean, I think to some degree that the topic, this is a change format.
42:34We changed last year when we invented the Yacht Club.
42:37The Thursdays changed and the guest comes on and there's not a wrong answer.
42:42I can't tell you, Dave, no, you had an easy time ranking that guy.
42:46No, you're telling me that you had our, but usually if it's difficult to rank guy, everybody feels it.
42:53Every so often you go, oh, funny. I didn't have a hard time, but with those five guys today, I did.
43:00Of course, we will review the Detroit Buffalo game on the show off the top tomorrow and that'll be pretty cool.
43:07Dave, so much thanks to you for coming on and making time on a busy Thursday morning.
43:13You can find Dave on social media, of course, all over the place.
43:17It's K-L-U-G-E and you can listen to him every single weekday at the Football Guys Fantasy Football Show.
43:23What a pleasure, my friend. Thanks for doing it.
43:26Thank you, Chris. Best of luck this week and I'm sure we'll be talking again soon.

44:54You've got to pick up every stitch When you scratch that DraftKings itch Or start to carry that warning Must be that
45:02old Jake Trowbridge itch And there it is. The season of the Jake Trowbridge itch.
45:07He's back from his sojourn to the east You can find him on Blue Sky You can find him all over Just
45:14look him up Jake Trowbridge He's here He missed week one I think probably it was for the best because Andy Behrens
45:22crashed and burned in last week's contest Hello Jake Welcome back I wasn't expecting my triumphant return to involve Andy Behrens getting
45:29thrown under the bus but I mean whatever has to happen has to happen I suppose I did listen to last week's
45:36episode I want to get this out of the way early I heard it all I know that there are various points
45:44where you had speculated I wouldn't be listening but I would be feeling some of the vibes coming off of your overlap
45:51anyways and I think I did and I would have felt that even if I hadn't listened and let's just like lend
45:59some credence to the to the Trowbridge superstition because neither one of Andy or I cashed we absolutely crashed and burned the
46:06overlap players like we had Jamir Gibbs that was good but we had Jamar Chase that wasn't very good were you proud
46:14of me though that I picked the Cardinals defense as the cheapest one and then they went out and blew doors wasn't
46:21that great yes I mean if we're talking about tropes on this show that exists for a reason I think we both
46:28had our moment in the sun in week one yeah me too well you know now we have some information and let's
46:36let's let's actually pick some teams we have the full slate I mean not the full slate because we have Thursday game
46:43we have the Sunday night game we have the Monday game but the main slate is 13 games gives you lots and
46:51lots of options where are you starting for week two I hate to come out in my very first appearance of this
46:58season and tell you that so much of this lineup rests in the hands of Carson Wentz but that's where we're at
47:06in week two I of course when I was traversing New England did happen to stumble upon a Packers bar so I
47:13could watch the Vikings Packers game the dog and pony tavern if anybody is up near bar harbor that's your spot but
47:20I saw the light switch turn on once Kyler Murray went out and Carson Wentz came on for Justin Jefferson and I
47:28know people were terrified of Justin Jefferson rightfully so after enduring the J.J.
47:32McCarthy and Max Brosber experience last year but I think people forget like when he has a very capable quarterback Justin Jefferson
47:40can look like his usual stellar self so I'm not only going with Justin Jefferson who is $7,800 against the Bears but
47:47I am as of right now expecting Carson Wentz to start and he's only $4,600 so I like that stack against the
47:54Bears against the Bears defense that kind of just seems like we want you to have some points you know because we
48:02want to force Caleb out there to keep putting up record setting numbers so we're going to let you have some touchdowns
48:09Bryce Young like I like the matchup as well I have bad news for you no don't not yet not Wentz but
48:17Jefferson is on my team at 7800 so okay there may be some tinking ahead for you you know I was gonna
48:24say even Juwan Jennings not Juwan Jennings even Jordan Addison with Carson Wentz at quarterback might be okay so who knows maybe
48:32I'll make a switcheroo there I mean I'm not on my account not on my account but you know maybe on your
48:39own I did I did I feel like these early weeks you know you you nail this I didn't nail the studs
48:46last week but if you do nail the studs you just can find so much good pricing so it's Jefferson for me
48:54and it's Bajon Robinson I just took two expensive dudes to build my lineup at the beginning by the way don't crash
49:01your car these lineups are in today's show notes and also as I just mentioned during the DraftKings spot their link to
49:09the week two contest also in the show notes I also put it on social media it's the best contest on the
49:16internet that's what people tell me because they guarantee the prize so like there's overlay if like we don't fill the if
49:23we don't fill it they still give out the same amount and DraftKings does not take a rake it's five dollars to
49:31play if you've heard us talk about it for years and you've never played you really should it's very fun so I
49:38have expensive guys 8200 Bajon Robinson 7800 Justin Jefferson and nobody else with a lot of the expense did you have any
49:46other expensive guys on your roster here yeah it just so happens that I have this Bajon Robinson fellow at 8200 in
49:53my lineup as well but what heartened me is to hear you say that that seems to be the tip of the
50:01iceberg I have a couple of other very expensive guys as well I clearly went the studs and duds route for this
50:08lineup I thought I did too I thought I went studs and duds but not like you you didn't go the studsiest
50:15my man because I and I know why you didn't go with this other fella because he burned you so hard last
50:23week you and Barron's both that I decided I was going to try to get karmic retribution on your karmic retribution by
50:30putting Jamar Chase in this lineup at $7,600 but you know what I did because I'm a good coach and I know
50:38how to inspire my players is he is resting currently in my flex spot which means he's got to work his way
50:45back but I think he can do it on the Yacht Club on Wednesday show yesterday Andy said something similar about using
50:53the flex spot to deliver a message in a regular lineup not just DFS so I really feel like we're onto something
51:00here we're really spiritually motivating these NFL players that is some serious bread that you have laid upon Bajon, Justin Jefferson and
51:07Jamar Chase it's funny Jefferson and Chase in original recipe La Liga Lebowski that we talk about sometimes on the show they've
51:15been on my team on that league for basically their entire careers and I did not win last week they did not
51:22Jefferson was fine Chase didn't do enough and elsewhere we suffered a bit but I certainly am familiar with that combo I'm
51:30trying to even look at who my next most expensive player is so I also have a stack and in these medium
51:37sized pools I mean it's not a small pool I think we can be a max over a thousand or something of
51:45listeners who want to join this thing but it's not it's also not a head to head it's not quite a GPP
51:52because it's not thousands and thousands of people but stacks are a good idea we often endorse them unfortunately last year Jake
51:59was on a streak of endorsing stacks that did not work out but I'm sure it'll change this week I'm sure it
52:07will I am stacking some some Buccaneers I have Baker Mayfield going against the Browns because it's a revenge game even though
52:14he's been on like a hundred since he was on the Browns and I stacked him with a Mecca Abuka so Mayfield
52:22is 5600 Abuka 6400 the feeling I had watching that Buccaneers Bengals game is obviously I need Baker Mayfield not to keep
52:29fumbling that would be great but also I just had the sense even though there were other numbers eventually acquired by some
52:36other receivers boy the plan really did seem to be Abuka early and often so I am stacking Mayfield and Abuka what
52:44do you think about that I love that for you I'm honestly I'm appreciating the fact that one of my earliest notions
52:51for this was to force a Buccaneer into my lineup I didn't make it happen because I did some pre-tinking for this
52:59lineup even but I wanted even Jalen McMillan potentially if he's coming back to be in this lineup because I do just
53:06think it's going to be bonkers amounts of yards and like the defensive matchup is certainly no stress this year it's a
53:14totally different type of defense I wonder why I wonder why but yeah I didn't get any of those guys into my
53:21lineup I did however I don't do I want to go with my next I do I do in fact want to
53:28go with my defense right now okay because I know that the thing on this show is to do the cheapest defense
53:36and I will always appreciate that but if I have a couple of hundred dollars left over after I've set my main
53:43lineup Chris shame I just feel like okay I'm putting it out there now though because it's my it's the Browns okay
53:51it's the Browns at $2,200 and I'm only saying that as means I think that your stack is going to be incredible
53:58but maybe if somebody that's not one of two those two players could turn the ball over like I'd be psyched about
54:06that that's all I want yes but I'm just saying you just I hope it feels great that you doomed your lineup
54:13to failure by okay breaking first of all we both know that the odds of this being my final roster are not
54:20100% fair okay but but I do appreciate that okay I just wanted to get the dirty business out of the way
54:28so I can talk about my next highest priced person on this roster which is Derrick Henry I went $7,200 for Derrick
54:35Henry going against the Saints who at least in the first half of that game against Detroit again it was it was
54:43just turnstile defense for Jameer Gibbs and there's already consternation about say flowers eligibility for this other who is it Jacoby Lane
54:50potentially out I just think that Derrick Henry you know when you can afford him you should and I could sure I
54:57did I mean it's not PPR though how can you use Derrick Henry in a non-PPR oh wait when he scores three
55:05touchdowns is that good is that any good when he scores three touchdowns yeah lane out flowers questionable fair fair I just
55:12can't wait to see these last three doofuses on your lineup and you had extra money for man I thought I went
55:20studs and duds I did not so let's see my other running back is Aaron Jones I think Aaron Jones is going
55:27to be rostered a lot in DFS this week like you said the Bears don't really scare you on defense Jordan Mason
55:35is on IR you know there'll be someone else because there's always someone else but I feel like they're going to try
55:42to ride Aaron Jones as much as they can and then mix in whether it's DeMond Claiborne or someone else so Aaron
55:49Jones makes the team I tell you I actually may have lied I think the first thing I did now that I
55:57look at it I Broncos defense I presume will be better I think how could they be worse that was an unbelievable
56:04tackling display and you always worry that you get Sertan on somebody and suddenly the offense doesn't throw it to that somebody
56:12and they go after Riley Moss because Riley Moss stinks but Parker Washington moves around so much that it just doesn't seem
56:19likely I could get burned because Sertan maybe that's part of why this price is 5900 but that's low I gotta tell
56:27you I think Parker Washington is about to be like maybe a top 12 receiver in fantasy like it's not just the
56:34production from last week it's the way he looks he's just so good he's really freaking good so yeah to have been
56:41on this fellow all off season I gotta admit but the one thing that concerns me about putting Parker Washington into my
56:49lineup every week is just is this the week that they actually trot out Travis Hunter on offense for like three plays
56:56and he gets three big receptions and it just you know cuts into into Parker thing I hope that hint on the
57:04list with the first big play that he makes will be the next one will be his first one not worried about
57:11that all right I got two receivers you need to tell me here because what the heck who are they I went
57:19with Matthew Golden at 4700 obviously Christian Watson guy I totally fine with it Christian Watson got the headlines or at least
57:26any positive headlines that the Packers could muster but you know Golden looked like actually a true and obvious wide receiver to
57:33in Green Bay and that felt nice to see he out targeted all at the end I was a little worried that
57:41it all came at the end like sort of they were trying to come back but it's also 4700 I can't get
57:48too mad at you it's 4700 it's such a modest price and if you know if any of those end zone targets
57:56actually pay off this time around I'll be happy with that I went even cheaper for my last wide receiver it feels
58:03really bad to say his name as a starter above Jamar Chase as a flex but again Jamar you know what you
58:10have to do my that's an okay day at 3700 and I know you don't have the tightest of ends no I
58:18couldn't afford anywhere close to the tightest of ends I appreciated you continuing the tradition last week I was kind of hoping
58:25that you might this week but it doesn't sound like it no no I can't afford it I wish I could ball
58:33together the tight end and the flex then I could have afforded Trey McBride but I agreed thought about Dobbs too I
58:40guess I didn't really think about Matt Collins but you know I see the world where Matt Collins you know not really
58:48so actually Henry is because it's hilarious that Loveland got probably the most hype of any tight end at least on my
58:55show people kept coming on and going you know I'm tempted to have Loveland as my tight end two ahead of McBride
59:02and I'd be like what you what now and then in the bears scoring 59 points Kostin doesn't catch a single pass
59:10but I obviously think he's good so at 5000 he feels underpriced we've done it I'll just quickly rattle off some honorable
59:17mentions I thought about Basial Tootin because the Broncos couldn't tackle and Tootin is pretty cheap I don't think he's great but
59:25he's not starting level expensive Woody Marks is real cheap 4500 Devante Smith if you believe in a bounce back 6800 if
59:32you wanted a couple other cheap receivers but not quite as cheap as the two that you needed to grab Pat Bryant
59:40at 4200 looked like the number one receiver at times in that game and Casey Concepcion 4100 I don't like the Browns
59:47but he was all all all my brothers and sisters and therefore you're back in your homeland of Minnesota just kidding and
