Alec Pierce

NegativeRole57:14

Jackson Smith notes that Alec Pierce is expected to play, which may impact the target distribution in the Colts' offense.

Insight page

Alvin Kamara

NegativeInjury63:05

Harris notes that Alvin Kamara is a potential drop candidate depending on league depth, given his indeterminate injury timeline.

Insight page

Brenton Strange

PositiveValue55:15

Harris is a believer in Brenton Strange, drafting him on three teams, though he notes that the market largely ignores his take. He is primarily a deep-bench stash.

Insight page

Chris Bell

PositiveBreakout55:43

Scott Fish highlights Dolphins rookie Chris Bell as a potential breakout receiver, noting he avoided the PUP list and has been practicing, though he may be worked in slowly.

Insight page

Chris Brooks

PositiveUsage60:04

Jackson Smith names Chris Brooks his number one waiver add, noting he is a capable pass blocker who played last year and could serve as a default option in a chaotic backfield.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

PositiveValue50:44

Harris notes that he drafted Chris Rodriguez in every YouTube mock draft but failed to land him in any of his 10 actual leagues, citing a strange market disconnect between Rodriguez and other players.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeInjury55:20

Jackson Smith notes that Christian McCaffrey has missed significant time following high-touch seasons, making his backup a critical roster addition.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

NegativeValue53:35

Harris notes that Chuba Hubbard lasted too long in drafts for his liking, though he does not view him as an immediate starter for his teams.

Insight page

Corey Kiner

NegativeDepth Chart2:37

Christopher Harris notes that the Patriots organization likes Corey Kiner, who was signed from the Arizona practice squad, and will be watching to see if he receives any work in the upcoming game.

Insight page

Courtland Sutton

PositiveValue56:26

Harris drafted Courtland Sutton on three teams, noting that the market has unfairly written off a receiver who finished as a top-12 option in back-to-back seasons.

Insight page

Cyrus Allen

PositiveBreakout52:43

Scott Fish identifies Cyrus Allen as a high-upside stash in Kansas City, noting coaching staff and Patrick Mahomes' praise, and suggesting he could eventually earn a role.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

PositiveValue51:10

Harris identifies Devontae Smith as a 'flag player' he believes in, though he only managed to draft him on one of his 10 teams.

Insight page

Drake London

PositiveValue56:59

Harris drafted Drake London on three teams, noting that London fell to the third round in snake drafts due to quarterback concerns, which Harris views as an opportunity to acquire a high-end talent.

Insight page

Emmett Johnson

NegativeDepth Chart61:37

Scott Fish identifies Emmett Johnson as the clear backup to Kenneth Walker.

Insight page

George Holani

NegativeSleeper61:50

Scott Fish is monitoring George Helani, though he notes his window for fantasy relevance may be closing.

Insight page

George Kittle

NegativeInjury3:48

George Kittle made the trip to Australia and is expected to play, but Christopher Harris advises fantasy managers to consider alternative options for Week 1 due to uncertainty regarding his health and workload.

Insight page

Jalen Nailor

NegativeBust50:52

Scott Fish notes that Jalen Naylor has been disappointing in the Raiders' receiving corps.

Insight page

James Conner

NegativeValue63:43

Harris notes that James Conner is a potential drop candidate in shallow leagues where waiver wire solutions are plentiful, but should be held in deeper formats.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

PositiveValue52:57

Jameson Williams is a 'flag player' for Harris, drafted to be a clear starter, though he only appeared on two of his 10 teams.

Insight page

Kaelon Black

PositiveValue54:12

Jackson Smith recommends rostering Kaylon Black as the presumptive Christian McCaffrey handcuff, especially for managers who drafted McCaffrey.

Insight page

Keenan Allen

NegativeUsage56:50

Jackson Smith views Keenan Allen as a known quantity who could provide consistent, usable target volume (5 targets/53 yards) if healthy, despite his age.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

PositiveValue51:13

Harris only landed Kyren Williams on one team, noting that his draft position in the front half of snake drafts often made it difficult to secure him in the second round.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeInjury47:40

Scott Fish notes that Marshawn Lloyd is frequently injured and has had very few touches over the last three to four years, making him a risky asset.

Insight page

Matthew Stafford

PositiveValue52:57

Matthew Stafford is a 'flag player' for Harris, drafted to be a clear starter, though he only appeared on two of his 10 teams.

Insight page

Rashod Bateman

NegativeBust59:08

Jackson Smith notes that Rashad Bateman has never truly broken out and faces off-field concerns that could impact his role.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

PositiveUsage2:24

With Travion Henderson expected to be out for the Wednesday game against the Seahawks, Christopher Harris projects Rhamondre Stevenson to handle the full workload.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

PositiveValue58:08

Sam LaPorta is Harris's most-drafted player (five of 10 teams). Harris notes he didn't intentionally target him, but LaPorta consistently remained the highest-ranked player on his board when he was ready to draft a tight end.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

NegativeValue51:41

Harris only drafted Stefan Diggs once, noting that his ADP rose significantly late in the draft season, making him less of a value than when he first signed with the Commanders.

Insight page

Ted Hurst

PositiveSleeper61:57

Scott Fish highlights Ted Hurst as an interesting deep-league option in Tampa Bay due to his size (6'3", 215 lbs) and the team's current injury situation.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

NegativeSleeper49:11

Jackson Smith highlights Terrence Ferguson as a deep-bench tight end option, noting he made a strong impression on film last year despite low sample size.

Insight page

Tre Tucker

PositiveUsage50:29

Scott Fish and Jackson Smith identify Trey Tucker as a potential wide receiver one for the Raiders early in the season, noting he is the only returning receiver from the core who performed well last year.

Insight page

Trey Benson

NegativeBust63:01

Harris suggests that Trey Benson is a drop candidate for week one because he is not expected to play this year.

Insight page

Tyler Allgeier

PositiveValue53:43

Harris drafted Tyler Allgeier on two teams as a 'counterplay' in case of injury issues for Bijan Robinson.

0:00It's the Harris Fantasy Football Podcast with your host, Christopher Harris.
0:04Hey everybody, welcome in. My name is Chris and this is a show about reading.
0:09Hello everybody. Thank you so much for listening. Welcome to the season tomorrow.
0:13One day until the footy pajama Patriots take on the Seahawks.
0:17And then the day after that on Thursday night, we get the 49ers and Rams from Australia.
0:22I think fantasy drafts are largely accomplished. Time to figure out our starting lineups, no question about that.
0:28And we will figure that out for these teams headed into these midweek games.
0:33And then on Sunday, a full week. Very, very happy to have you here.
0:37Welcome to the yacht. We have a very busy show today with two great guests coming your way.
0:43So I'm not going to linger too much here off the introduction.
0:47But certainly we do have a difficult job knowing about the health of the questionable players for Week 1.
0:54Basically until we get to the end of this week.
0:57And even then, you can't be positive we're going to know the actual answers.
1:02Even if guys are active, you don't know if they're going to handle a full workload.
1:07NFL injury lists are already filled with lies. Coaches lie.
1:10And then add into the fact that everybody is even more paranoid to start the year.
1:16So we'll do our best. I will have Week 1 ranks posted at harrisfootball.com later today, Tuesday, where I'm doing my best
1:23to process what we know as of right now.
1:26But no doubt, we're going to get a couple of rug pulls here and there.
1:31I think for the Wednesday game, it seems pretty close to certain.
1:35Travion Henderson will not be playing against the Seahawks.
1:38As of my recording, that's not official. But Henderson hasn't practiced at all, and the game is tomorrow.
1:44It seems like Ramondre Stevenson gets the full load.
1:47But I'm sure we'll get an answer. That's the benefit of a midweek game, is that before we have to make any
1:54other decisions, we'll get a definite answer about Henderson.
1:57I have mentioned, I believe on the Yacht Club, but I'll mention it here too, the Patriots really like Corey Kiner.
2:04They grabbed him off of Arizona's practice squad, I think, and he's been on the roster here for a couple of weeks.
2:11I'll be interested to see if Kiner gets any work at all.
2:15Also, as of this morning, Patriots star corner Christian Gonzalez did get his big extension.
2:20So he'll be out there on Wednesday, probably trying to stick with Jackson Smith and Jigba like he did in the Super Bowl.
2:28In the Niner-Ram game, George Kittle, big story, made the trip to Australia.
2:32If he made the trip, he's going to play.
2:35The coaching staff is saying that he's going to play.
2:39If you drafted him on a fantasy team, my guess is you might have someone else on the roster for insurance.
2:46And for week one, maybe it would be smart to choose the other guy, just not knowing what Kittle's going to look like or how much he'll play.
2:55But I certainly will be ranking him among the tight ends.
2:58For the other games, coming on Sunday, we just don't really know anything yet.
3:03We've got shows the rest of the week, and I will do my best to...
3:08I mean, let's face it. Let me renew my proclamation as ever.
3:12There's literally, literally, no such thing as an injury expert.
3:15That is a hilarious job that isn't real. We're all reading the exact same news reports, and we'll all know when the teams tell us.
3:24There's no magic here. They're not going to tell us the answer.
3:28So, as ever, I'll do my best to be your news agglomerator and try, especially on Friday, to give my best read
3:35of the situations of guys off the top of my head like Jenti and Love, Odunze, Manungai, etc.
3:41And then, lastly here off the top, I will remind you, if you would like to contribute to the Pound Foolish bestseller effort, today's the day.
3:50No joke. I will be thrilled to have you purchase the book anytime in the future.
3:55I'll be so grateful. But if you want to count toward the bestseller effort, really, today's the last day you can make
4:02a difference, because the book sales have told all the way through the month of August, and today is the last day that they will toll.
4:11Especially if you get it at bookshop.org. That would really, really help make a big difference.
4:16So, if you've meant to get a copy, but you haven't, would very much appreciate you dropping everything right now.
4:23Don't crash your car. Otherwise, drop everything right now.
4:26Because it is the last day you can make a difference in that regard.
4:30I do appreciate it. Today's kickoff. Okay, on today's show, a few things coming up.
4:35First, it is the Pound Foolish grand prize winner.
4:38Greg Berthium will join the show. And I'm turning it over to him.
4:43He gets about 20 minutes. Whatever he wants to do, that's what we will do.
4:48So, I'm looking forward to that. I will then do a segment in which I examine the players that I personally drafted most in my leagues this summer.
4:57And then, lastly, but definitely not least, Scott Fish from the Scott Fish Bowl and Fantasy Cares will join.
5:03And Scott and I will do our best to perform week one waivers.
5:07I think you'll have a fun time. And I thank you again so much for listening today.
5:13We are sponsored by Lisa, the very bed I sleep on.
5:17If you've been waking up stiff and sore, haven't been able to figure out why, if it's been a while since you
5:24replaced your mattress, that might be it. You might need a new one.
5:28If you do, I recommend you check out Lisa.
5:31I really have been sleeping on one for more than a decade.
5:35I'm a huge believer. You can go to leesa.com, take a mattress quiz, and figure out the right model for you.
5:42And then if you buy one, they deliver it direct to your door and you get four months to sleep on it and make sure it's perfect.
5:51And if it's not, they will refund you. No questions asked.
5:55Lisa is just a great company. These beds are made in America.
5:59They donate thousands of mattresses to families in need every year.
6:03They use eco-friendly materials. Their manufacturing facilities are made to be sustainable as well.
6:07Plus, for another five days until the 13th, it is still their Labor Day sale, which means 30% off select mattresses at leesa.com.
6:15And if you check out using the code Harris, that's another $50 off the top.
6:20So get 30% off your new bed at leesa.com.
6:23And for another $50 off, use that code Harris.
6:26To lead off the week this Tuesday morning, it is our grand prize winner from the pound foolish drawing, as promised, an actual listener here on the show.
6:35I believe for the first time. I guess I don't remember sometimes whether I tied my shoes, but for the first time,
6:42I believe a listener is on the show. And not just any listener.
6:47His number came up. It's Greg Berthiume, who's been listening a very, very long while.
6:52And I'm so happy to welcome him in. Hello, Greg.
6:55How are you? Oh, hello, Chris. It is a pleasure and an honor.
6:59Brother, we've known each other for a very long time.
7:03And it's not actually the first time we've communicated.
7:06I didn't put my finger on the scales at all.
7:09It just came. The fate, the fate of the random number generator wanted you to be on the show.
7:15And I think that's glorious. Oh, Chris. I mean, your words ring out, but you're not believed.
7:21Not in my fantasy leagues. They all think it's rigged, man.
7:24They all think it's rigged. If it's not, it really wasn't.
7:28Yeah, it's like when I won that Deep Shot Degenerates League last year and I had you sign the book and do the book.
7:36And I won that league. And you even mentioned it was rigged.
7:40And now I can't get away from all this rigged.
7:43All right. Well, it wasn't rigged. That's all I can tell people out there.
7:48But Greg is wonderful. And we're going to talk.
7:51So he's involved with the Fishbowl. And Scott, of course, is on later in the show.
7:56And we'll talk a little bit about that. But as promised, as I was promising all through August for the grand prize,
8:04basically I was going to turn the open segment over to whatever the guest you want to do.
8:10And I think what you decided on was to just ask me a bunch of questions on behalf of silliness and or the audience.
8:18Some designed to humiliate me, which I'm glad to have happen.
8:21If you can pull it off, fantastic. Does that feel like about what you have in mind?
8:27Yes. It wasn't what I had in mind at first.
8:30I wanted to be much smarter for you. But we went back and forth in a few emails.
8:36And we're just going to get silly. And then towards the end, I'll tell you how much I love everybody and stuff.
8:43Oh, okay. Well, so you're in Minnesota, I believe.
8:46I am. Duluth, Minnesota, the best tap water on earth.
8:50The best tap water on earth? Duluth, Minnesota tap water would destroy New York City tap water.
8:55I mean, Cousin Josh is not in the country or else you might be getting like an in-person visit.
9:02So I'm turning it over to you. You ask away.
9:05You're the voice of the fans of this show.
9:08Very stupid show. Go ahead. Very, very, very stupid.
9:11Okay. First one. We're going to go hard on the first one.
9:15Are you currently dating? I got to plead the fifth.
9:18Plead the fifth. Okay. Okay. Night owl or early bird?
9:22Very much early bird because of the show. The show has changed me.
9:26Yeah. It basically, like during the off season, during like the five months of the off season, there's no reason for me
9:33to wake up at freaking 530 in the morning because I'm not making a show, but once a week.
9:39And even then, I don't have to prep that much for the Andy show, you know, and it just doesn't require nearly as much rigor.
9:48But I think I just, I ruined myself. There's some circuit board that got fried inside me.
9:53And so it's, it's kind of 538. I don't set an alarm.
9:57I just wake up at 530. That was my next question.
10:01Do you hit the snooze button? Obviously, Chris is not a snooze buttoner.
10:05Yeah. I don't even set an alarm. I just wake up.
10:09Yeah. Yeah. Boxers or briefs? I guess, I guess they're more briefs than boxers.
10:14Actually, I mean, they're not a sponsor anymore, but skims.
10:17I like pretty much just wear those skims. I wear the Kim Kardashian underwear.
10:22That's right. I wear the man's Kim Kardashian underwear.
10:25They're really good, but they're like good for workout.
10:28You know, they're, I wouldn't say they're like pure briefs.
10:31They're like maybe boxer briefs, but they're short kind of, but that's mostly what I wear.
10:36I am, again, another sponsor. I, all I wear is Mack Weldon.
10:40I mean, that was a long time ago. Mack Weldon.
10:43Yep. We're just remembering some sponsors. Yep. I would, I'd go way back, man.
10:48Way back. I got, I got, what is it?
10:51I got Brooklinen in the, in the bathroom. I got it all.
10:55Me too. I love those. I love those towels.
10:58Do you have any tattoos? No tattoos. All I have is 7,000 bajillion freckles.
11:03Okay. Do you aspire to ever get a tattoo or is that just not something you ever think about?
11:09Not, not ever think about. I, I would say it's like, I'm, I'm too much of a long-term thinker in my life.
11:16So I think to myself, you know, someday I'm going to be real saggy and that is going to look bad.
11:23So hopefully, hopefully I'll be saggy. It'll better. I'm gone.
11:27But yeah, I'm not, I'm not a tattoo guy.
11:30I don't know. I got a lot of tattoos.
11:33You do have a lot of tattoos and I don't, I'm definitely not someone who like looks at a person who I've dated women who have tattoos.
11:42Like I'm, I don't look at somebody and, and judge, oh, that's a certain kind of person.
11:47I think we're beyond that. Right. We're yes. I think, yes, there was a time like, you know, when I went to
11:54high school, not too many people had tattoos. And if you did, you, you were a certain kind of kid, you know?
12:02And I think we're beyond that. Way beyond it.
12:05I think it's, I think it's more, I think it's gone more the other way now where it's more, it's even accepted and stuff like that.
12:13I agree. People, people don't look at you funny.
12:16Yeah. Okay. This, this is from my wife. Oh boy.
12:20Do your lovely wife. She's very nice. Yeah. There's a couple in here from her.
12:25Do you do spa days? Do you get Pat Maddie's Patty?
12:28What is it? Manny's Patty. Manny or Patty. Yeah.
12:31Do you, do you do the spa days? LA boy.
12:35No, come on. No, no. The best I can do is like, if I get in a, if I find a good,
12:42very strong massage person to beat the crap out of my lower back, that's the best I do.
12:48I definitely, I heard you swishing around water there.
12:51Sorry. Sorry. But no, no, I've never had a Manny in my life.
12:55I've never had a Patty in my life. I don't.
12:58I don't. Again, I, someone, I think I knew the answer to that one.
13:03If someone does, it's, I'm not a very judgmental person.
13:06I think like in some ways I'm unbelievably judgmental, but because I already consider myself like horrible, I'm like, well, no one's worse than me.
13:15So I don't judge. Okay. What do you wear when you sleep?
13:19Nothing. Buck. For serious? Buck. Yeah. Oh my God.
13:22God, the listeners are going to love that. Hey, I'm here to, I'm here to be honest.
13:27I'm here to be honest. Do you like to cook Chris?
13:31I do. Um, I wouldn't, I'd say like on a scale of zero to 10, 10 being like, want to take classes,
13:38really want to get better, that kind of thing.
13:41I'm a six, I would say. But what I make, I make pretty well.
13:46And like, especially, I mean, again, going to be an absolute, uh, shill for this, you know, like, Hey, I'm sorry that I, all right.
13:54I won't do it. I won't be a shill.
13:57So I, uh, um, so breakfasts almost always cook and then catch as catch can depending.
14:03But I, I would say, yeah, I mean, hungry root.
14:06Sorry. I had to do it. I expected it.
14:09Yeah. Having it around is, um, it's not quite, it's often for me, hungry root does not take the form of cooking as much as it does there.
14:18They just do like these incredibly simple, almost pre-made meals.
14:21They're not though, but they're ingredients, but they're like three ingredients and it's fast.
14:26And that often winds up being a meal. And I will say that during this going on tour and coming back from
14:33the tour and having to do like a week, 10 days worth of almanac to get it ready for last week, I ordered in so much.
14:42It's it. And I didn't have groceries in the apartment at all, but now I'm starting to have groceries back in again.
14:49And I mean, I got a hungry root delivery, so it's good.
14:53Yeah. Are you watching anything that you're loving right now or recently watched anything you're loving?
14:59Sarah wanted to know. I, I would say I caught up with, so I saw the movie Nirvana, the Nirvana, the band and the movie.
15:07And I liked it. I thought it was funny.
15:10It was, it was, I definitely recommend it to people.
15:13Good Canadian gentleman making kind of silly sketch comedy.
15:16That's not really sketch, but it's that vibe. So I went back and watched the entire series, the two, two seasons of
15:23that, that show before it was a movie. And I liked it, but again, you know, it's like reached its limit.
15:30And I was like, okay, I'm good with that.
15:33The best thing I watched this year was probably, it's a boring answer, but it's probably, I said this on what Thursday
15:41with Denny, but Pluribus, the Vince Gilligan show. Yep.
15:44It's on our list. Yeah. I think it was great.
15:47Like I said, so much comes down to a puzzle box show comes down to its solution.
15:53And if the solution is dumb, you look back on all the, what is going on?
15:58And you go, yeah, I shouldn't have cared what was going on.
16:02It didn't matter. Like stuff is dumb and I don't care.
16:06Like, so yeah, I would say pending, but I kind of do, don't you trust it?
16:11Vince Gilligan. I kind of trust him. That's not going to be a dumb answer.
16:16Yeah. Yeah. So that's probably been the best thing.
16:19I just started watching bait. I don't know whether, I think it's very short little Amazon series.
16:24Do you know that one? I don't. It's about a Pakistani UK citizen who is auditioning kind of for James Bond and like what that, what that means.
16:34It's good. It's good. Like it's, it's Riz Ahmed and he's awesome.
16:38Like he's good in most stuff. So I like it so far.
16:42I've only watched two episodes. Okay. Some drinking stuff here.
16:45I was wondering this when you, when you go and sit at the coffee shop, what do you drink?
16:51When you go in, right. Are you just drinking black coffee?
16:55Sometimes, sometimes iced coffee, sometimes regular black coffee. More often than not, that's, that's what it is.
17:01I would say if I'm mixing anything, it's cappuccino.
17:04Are you a big coffee drinker? Do you, is it a daily thing with you?
17:09Like your AG one or? No, it's not. I would, it is when I'm in the off season and going to the coffee shop.
17:17Cause I feel like I have to order something.
17:20So then, then I'm fricking wired. Cause I don't drink.
17:23So you're not brewing at home. You're not. No, I don't have no means to brew it at home.
17:29Nope. Okay. When you drink alcohol, what do you drink?
17:32I mean, I'll drink anything, but. Like if you added the choice of the big liquor store.
17:38Okay. Yeah. Old fashioned. I always wondered that. Yeah.
17:41It's the go-to. I went out with, with a, with Brooks, a good friend of mine here in LA on what day
17:48was that Sunday and had a couple of beers and then an old fashioned.
17:53So I'm not a big beer guy. Not a big beer guy.
17:57You walk to the coffee shop, right? Chris? I do.
18:00Yeah. Cause I live in downtown LA. So yeah.
18:03So is it teddies? Is it flip flops? Is it Thursday boots?
18:07What are you wearing on your feet? Oh, uh, feet probably sneakers or else like, um, what are the, what are those kinds of shoes called?
18:16They're, uh, don't say Crocs. No, no, God, no.
18:19Uh, so they're saludos. They're like espadrilles. Yep. I know what you're talking about.
18:24Yeah. Yeah. They're really comfortable. I like them. Yep.
18:27Okay. I was wondering cause the LA teddies are flip flops.
18:30I was just wondering. No, I don't have any flip flops.
18:34I have. Yeah. Good man. Yeah. Um, more from Sarah here.
18:37What do you put in your hair? This was one that you told me about beforehand.
18:43So I went and I, wait, I already forgot.
18:46I don't really hold on. Hold on. I'm going to go check.
18:50Okay. Yeah. Hi everybody. I forgot. I remember it was coming and then I forgot.
18:55Sonny's original surf paste. I love it. Sarah's going to love that.
18:59I bet. It's really great. Yeah. I bet. I don't have any hair.
19:03So I'm just, I'm in a lot of beard though.
19:06Well, I mean, when I started losing it up top, I figured I had to grow it on my face.
19:13Right. Um, are you double jointed? Another one from my beautiful wife, not double jointed, not double jointed anywhere.
19:19She seemed, she thought that you seemed like the type of person that would be double jointed.
19:25I'm not sure how you tell that from watching a live stream on Sundays, but he says, thank you.
19:31No, no. Um, do you count calories? Last one.
19:34Do you count calories? Usually no, but I have a good sense in my mind.
19:39What can I work out almost every day? And I have a good sense.
19:44If it's a day that I've worked out, what do I need to kind of stay within?
19:49And then if I didn't work out, what do I need to stay within?
19:54I have gone through periods of my life where I was, uh, definitely trying to do that.
20:00And, and like, I will say, I used to weigh stronger.
20:03You know, I'd say like five to five to seven years ago, I probably weighed more in the 195 to 200 range.
20:11And I was bigger, but I also had more tummy.
20:14I was just, was bigger in general. I was stronger.
20:17And, uh, during COVID lost weight and, uh, kind of decided that I would try to stay around 185, but also try
20:25to get as strong as I could. So like, I'm not as strong as I was, but I also am older now.
20:32So who cares? And also I, I'm much more about, um, not big weights, you know, so, so building through more reps,
20:39half reps, you know, stuff like that. And trying to stay or stay like 10 or even like 15 pounds later.
20:46Yep. That's what I do. I, I haven't gone above 15 pounds on my dumbbells in 10 years.
20:52It's just about the reps. I don't want to be all.
20:56Well, Greg, I don't know. I'm a little, little more weight than that.
21:00You know, obviously a little more weight than that, but I got it.
21:04I got it going on. Yeah. Yeah. So that's, so that's that part.
21:09You, you wanted to say hi to a few people though.
21:12I, well, I got to shout out the leagues that have been created, um, in our little yacht club universe, uh, the deep shot degenerates.
21:21And we started a, uh, yacht club fishbowl league that, uh, mirrored the fishbowl, uh, stuff that we started this year.
21:28And I hope we keep that going and maybe just change what Scott changes every year.
21:33We can just go year over year on that.
21:36So I just told them, I'd shout them out.
21:39They're great. They've been great. Um, I really encourage everybody to join the yacht club.
21:44Um, I'm going to, I'm, we're going to discuss giving a year subscription away.
21:49I would like to give a year subscription away, but I would encourage you it's five bucks a month.
21:55It's so much fun. You guys, it's, I just, I can't explain how much fun I'm having the leagues that are created
22:02and the, the chat that's going on and the book clubs and we're, that we're already discussing.
22:08Uh, uh, uh, the pound foolish in the, in the discord.
22:11So I just encourage it a lot. Yeah. Yeah.
22:14They've already got, yeah. I don't want to go in there.
22:18The discord is great though. The discord is really great.
22:21If the biggest thing is if you are already a Wednesday subscriber, just trust us.
22:26I know you don't know what a discord is.
22:29I know you think it's like newfangled. It's just a message board.
22:33It's oldfangled. You just need to click one link in the show notes of one of those Wednesday shows and you're, you're met, you're joined.
22:42And then it's just, it's really, really, really easy.
22:45And it's so, it's really as fun in there.
22:48Yeah. You guys. So I'm 45 years old and I, you know, am on, I've been on social media, but just this
22:55morning I could not find the link for this session with Chris in my emails.
23:00That's true. And I can work this discord. I could not find the link in, in our email thread and I can run the discord.
23:08If you can run an email system, if you could look at your email and work it out, you can run the discord.
23:16I promise. All right. So Scott wants, uh, sorry, Greg wants to give away.
23:20I was thinking of Scott fish. Um, Greg wants to give away a one year long subscription to the Wednesday show.
23:27So if you aren't currently a Wednesday subscriber, uh, you can DM Greg, but you have to be on blue sky quickly make a blue sky account.
23:36Uh, he is, uh, it's Gregles G R E G G E L S 17.
23:41Gregles 17 DM him. He'll pick the first person and he'll hook you up, figure out a way to do it.
23:48Um, and that would, that's very nice offer that you're going to make.
23:53And did you have anything else before we get going with the rest of the show?
23:58Uh, I just wanted to touch on SFB. Go, go to fantasy cares.org and join their campaigns.
24:04They have a survivor. They have a pick them and they have a one and done that they're all doing right now.
24:11They're available till Wednesday. Yep. They're available till tomorrow.
24:14So go in and do that. Um, go to Scott fish.
24:17So if you weren't around this off season, we were given a whole Scott fish division to play with Christopher Harris and the Scott fish bowl.
24:26It's really cool. I am going to probably be able to get that again next year from Scott, go to Scott fishbowl.com
24:33and sign up for the Scott fish bowl. It goes on during the summer.
24:38It's a lot of our off seasons and I understand you're not really into it during the summer, but it's a really good cause.
24:46It's a charity that you can actually go in and see what's going on with your donations.
24:52You can watch them shopping for at, at, at target for toys for tots around Christmas.
24:57The Wednesday hangouts, they allow you to help choose this time of year.
25:01They're giving, they're helping teachers, right? Chris, this time of year, teachers are, are needing help in their classrooms, buying things.
25:08Scott is reading letters from thank you letters from children on air every Wednesday night on YouTube.
25:14And he's letting the chat help pick what we donate to.
25:18You get to actively participate. If you'd like to in this stuff, it means everything to me.
25:23It's changed my life. Please support fantasy cares.org. Go to scottfishbowl.com and sign up for the Scott fish bowl.
25:29Well, you heard it's industry plant, Greg Berthium. I mean, not intentional, but wonderful, wonderful.
25:34And obviously fantasy care is also wonderful and you're great too, dude.
25:38Thanks for doing this. I appreciate it. Of course.
25:41Of course. I loved it. Quick shout out to Andy Berthium for getting fired and getting Chris Harris in my ears year round and a discord.
25:50I love you, Andy. Thank you for being horrible at fantasy football.
25:54All right, brother. Well, I'm sure Andy will appreciate that very much.
25:58Good job. Thanks very much for doing this. And remember, if you would like to get that year long yacht club membership, DM Greg.
26:06It's Gregles, G-R-E-G-G-E-L-S 17. Now like a hundred people are going to DM him and he's going to have to only say
26:13yes to one, but that's his problem. We'll talk to you later, buddy.
26:18I'll see you on Sunday, brother. You know my daily habit.
26:21I put the powder in the water. I have the drink of AG1 and I take care of my nutrition for the day.
26:29We are sponsored by AG1. I have already had my AG1 beverage for this morning.
26:34You know that a couple of weeks ago I was on the book tour.
26:38I was traveling around the US and absolutely I would not negotiate.
26:42I had to have AG1 with me and I did.
26:46It's one scoop of powder. It's eight ounces of water.
26:49AG1 is of course a way to keep one thing consistent even when things around us are going crazy.
26:55High quality nutritional support. No matter where you start your morning, AG1 has a multivitamin built right in.
27:01So you don't need to take a separate multivitamin plus pre and probiotics, superfoods and antioxidants built in too.
27:08For me, I have a notoriously fidgety stomach. I trust AG1 every single day and it makes my stomach feel better.
27:15It makes me feel more normal but down there, you know what I mean?
27:19My energy levels at the gym are better. It's just a set it and forget it kind of thing.
27:26Drink the AG1. Nutrition taken care of. And I'm telling you, if you have a balky stomach, could not recommend it.
27:33For a limited time, save 20% on your first subscription order of AG1 Next Gen or AG1 Pro at drinkag1.com slash Harris.
27:40That's drinkag1.com slash Harris. What a run! Bryce Brown!
27:43Welcome to the NFL! I love pro football. Every year you discover a new star.
27:48Well, a couple years ago we said, who is Arian Foster?
27:51He's not drafted. This year it's Bryce Brown. Yeah, that year it was Bryce Brown.
27:56Great one, John Gruden. What a soothsayer. What a talent evaluator John Gruden was.
28:01That was a clip from this little podcast that could's first season that made me laugh.
28:06Still makes me laugh almost 11 years later. All right, so as is tradition around this time of year on the show
28:14each year, I do a survey of the teams that I myself drafted over the past month to come up with the
28:21players who wound up on more of my teams than any other.
28:25So for the purpose of this exercise, I'm not counting the mock drafts that we did on YouTube.
28:31I'm not counting anything really other than leagues I'll be playing out.
28:35And that's not, for me, that many leagues this year.
28:38Relatively speaking, I think it might be 10. And, you know, I'm playing out 10 leagues.
28:44Am I actively seeking out trades? There's no, no.
28:46You know, the ones you really care about are fewer than that.
28:50But that also includes a wide variety. There's some normal, like just what you would expect, 16-round type things.
28:57There's some very deep bench leagues that we're talking about here.
29:00Some have keeper elements. One is a best ball, which I'm not thrilled about.
29:05But when your friend Jake Seeley asks you to do a best ball, you do a best ball.
29:11So that is the pool of teams that I'm choosing from to figure out.
29:16Mostly, you know, I do pretty much adhere to my own list for a best available when I'm drafting.
29:22So this will prove that. That's for sure. Because there's some unexpected results here to go back and look and see what
29:29my own ranks have made me do. Also worth noting, these were across many different platforms.
29:35And so therefore came with many different default ranks inside the games.
29:39And some were with other people who do what I do for a living.
29:43Those drafts, kind of the easiest to predict in the early rounds.
29:47And then some are more home league type where there are some wise guys, but also some folks who don't do a lot of drafts.
29:55So you get like a little wider range of sort of wild card.
30:00Wow. How is that guy available? Two were auctions.
30:03So that's less about where you're picking in a draft, but more about partly what you think of the player, but also
30:10partly when a name gets nominated and how much money is on the table and all that stuff.
30:16You know, auctions. Anyway, maybe it's interesting to have a look.
30:20I will tell you the guy I wound up with on the most teams, not a flag player, which definitely is not how this usually goes.
30:28I'll start out with the names that are on two of the teams.
30:33I am very spread out this year. So two play.
30:36That's like a lot. There's a lot of one one offs.
30:40Some flag players, some flag players I never got a chance to get.
30:44It felt like I took Chris Rodriguez in every mock draft when we doing we're doing them on YouTube.
30:50And yet in these leagues I'm surveying, I was not intentionally passing him up, but it just seemed like there was always somebody who felt like I did.
31:00Like it was just a weird distance that the market was putting between Rodriguez and Basial Tootin.
31:05So I did not get Chris Rodriguez on a single one of these teams.
31:10Wild. Devontae Smith, I am a believer. He's a flag player.
31:13He's only on one of these teams. Kyron Williams.
31:16Maybe because of where I was picking in the snake drafts in question among these teams.
31:22I was often in the front half. So often by the time I was picking in round two, finally it caught up and I just wasn't grabbing him.
31:31I did get him once. That was great. The CBS IDP League, I think that's the one where I got him.
31:38He's my RB2 because I have McCaffrey as the RB1.
31:41Stefan Diggs, only on one team. In my experience, I think Diggs was really going higher at the end of live draft
31:49season in a way that the ADP stuff never really could catch up with.
31:53So he just didn't feel like as big a value as when he first signed with the commanders and what ADP was
32:01telling us in the middle of the month. Keaton Mitchell, one team.
32:05Bucky Irving, one team. Part of this you'll realize is that in several of these drafts, I'm drafting against people who listen to the show.
32:13And so they have the same flag list as I do.
32:16But also some more industry drafts and I am really picking by my own list.
32:21I'm not looking to force it. And those guys just didn't come up to the top of the list right at the
32:29right time, which I guess, you know. It makes some sense because busts of mine are going ahead of elite players.
32:36People are racing to take Jeremiah Love and guys like that.
32:39Malik Neighbors, not that I don't like those players, but you know my injury concerns about them.
32:45So the in my mind better players would fall to me and I would wind up with better players than the actual flag guys.
32:53But whatever. I started out to say that guys who were on two of my teams, two of those, Jameson Williams and
33:00Matthew Stafford, drafted to be clear starters, flag players.
33:03Quinch on Judkins, drafted to be a clear starter on these fantasy teams for sure.
33:08Again, it's funny. I took Judkins over and over.
33:11I took Jameson Williams and Matthew Stafford over and over in these mock drafts on YouTube.
33:16They just did not tend to last like that for me quite so much in these drafts that counted.
33:23And then otherwise, the players who were on two of these teams, there's a lot of them.
33:28They're all more fantasy reserves. Some are kind of obviously belong to deep league rosters and that's where they went.
33:35So there's Chuba on that list. Chuba Hubbard lasted too long for my liking.
33:40Doesn't need to start for my fantasy teams right away.
33:43Tyler Algier. I got him in two of these leagues as the counterplay.
33:47If we get more Jeremiah Love ankle problems, Woody Marks, talked about him enough, lasted a long time in drafts.
33:54Drafted to be a fantasy backup, clearly. Khalil Shakir, a bench option in regular leagues.
33:59Makai Lemon, ditto. He really started to fall. Rashad White.
34:02He wound up on two of these teams. Again, fell so far that generally isn't a starter of mine.
34:09Both of those leagues are full PPR where I wound up with him.
34:13We'll see how that goes. And then it's really deeper leagues.
34:17I took Jalen Knoll twice. Malachi Fields twice. Chris Brooks twice.
34:20Jahan Dotson of all people twice in the whatever, you know, 20th round or something.
34:25And also Terrence Ferguson. I took him twice. Never to be my starter at fantasy tight end.
34:31But in both cases, slightly deeper leagues where scarcity is an issue.
34:35And he's a bench guy in those leagues. And then we have four players on three of these teams.
34:41Two of those are flag players. You are not surprised to hear about this guy.
34:46You don't say he's a flower. I was a little surprised to know that it was only three teams.
34:52It felt like I was on him more than that.
34:56I took him in large. I took him in an auction.
34:59I took him in that IDP league. Feel really good about it.
35:03And took him a bunch in those mock drafts.
35:06That's probably why I felt like it was on more than three.
35:10I kind of expected him to be the number one guy.
35:14He is the number one flag player. And Brenton Strange also on three teams.
35:19But, you know, Brenton Strange was ignored. People do not agree with my take.
35:23And so he went so late that on none of those three teams is he currently slated to be my starter at tight end.
35:31Which, of course, means I took him mostly in leagues where the benches are very, very deep.
35:37And you need to have multiple answers. The reason for that will come clear in just a moment here.
35:43I actually did take Brenton Strange in an auction where he was a dollar.
35:48And that league does not have a tight end slot.
35:51So that's kind of like a couple week bet on him really, really taking a step.
35:56And I don't need to start a tight end.
35:59So I won't start him to begin the year.
36:02And then, you know, if he doesn't take an obvious immediate step, he's a clear candidate to be dropped.
36:09Which I got no problem with. So that's two flag guys I took a lot.
36:14And then the other players who went in three of my drafts to me.
36:18Not flag guys, but I don't know. You're not surprised to hear about one of my sons, Cortland Sutton, on three of my teams.
36:26Never had to draft him, weirdly to me, as anything close to being a fantasy starter.
36:32He'll be a starter in deeper teams. But there are normal 12-style leagues, 12-team leagues, where he's just like an extra piece.
36:39If anything, to me, I think in a few weeks I'm going to have too many good receivers.
36:45The guy who finished wide receiver 10, wide receiver 12 in back-to-back seasons.
36:49And everyone just decided, nope, he's done. He's bad.
36:52Cool. I got him late. That feels good. The other three-team timer.
36:56I don't really even remember thinking I was doing it.
36:59I'm not mad about it. But he certainly is a fantasy starter.
37:03It didn't occur to me that I was tripling up on him.
37:07It's Drake London with all his quarterback problems. Oh no, my mind palace cannot account for the Falcons figuring anything out.
37:14I mean, I just know that things don't go the way we expect.
37:19And I'll take really good players. London is a really good player.
37:23These were three snake drafts where I was picking early.
37:26All three, London lasted all the way to the end of the second round.
37:31I took him after taking Gibbs, Bajon, and McCaffrey in those three drafts.
37:35Actually, I think it was in the McCaffrey one.
37:38I think it was the third round that I got him.
37:42You know, the beginning of the third round. So, you know, I was essentially going running back and then either London and
37:49a running back or running back, running back, and London.
37:52And so I guess welcome to the squad, Drake London.
37:55He just, I think people got spooked by Tua, but got spooked by the quarterbacks.
38:00And he fell a little further than I thought he should have.
38:04And all of that is to set up my most drafted player.
38:08It is pretty crazy, but it accounts for why I never really took Brenton Strange as my starting tight end in leagues that still use tight ends.
38:17It's Sam Laporta. He's on five of these 10 teams.
38:21And a couple of these leagues, I don't have any starting tight end requirement.
38:25So, you know, there's the one where I took Strange as the what the heck because he was a dollar and nobody wanted him.
38:33But so that's like, there's that one. There's two others in this group that don't require a tight end and I didn't draft one.
38:41So I think it's like five of seven teams where it would be realistic that I would draft a quote unquote starting
38:49tight end and Laporta wound up being the guy.
38:52It certainly was not a case where the first thing on my mind each time the draft room opened was, oh, I
38:59got to be sure to get Sam Laporta. Andy's going to be so happy with me since they both went to Iowa.
39:06It was mostly just sticking to my board, you know, waiting, not taking one of the elite tight ends.
39:12But there is a group that I think is really good and belongs in the whatever, usually sixth round, you know, sometimes seventh.
39:20And he was just kept being highest on my board when my pick came up.
39:25One of these cases actually was an auction that was original recipe La Liga.
39:30And I have Jawan Johnson in that league, but you really have to have multiple options you can use because there's not
39:37going to be anything on the waiver wire in La Liga.
39:41That's for sure. And so like I had money I decided to pay, but not that much.
39:46I can tell you in snake drafts a couple of times I would actually pass up on Laporta even though he was
39:54highest on my board trying to stick to the mantra like I don't need to take a tight end in the fifth.
40:01I'll keep waiting. But then the sixth, even the seventh.
40:04I mean, people were taking all the tight ends ranked around him on my list.
40:09Loveland way, way earlier, but Tyler Warren would go and Tucker Craft would go and Laporta would be the one people left behind.
40:17And I just didn't understand it. So I just I got him in the St.
40:22Jude league drafting against a lot of fellow yacht possums.
40:25I got him in the La Liga auction. I got him in the CBS IDP league, the fishbowl that's tight end premium.
40:32I took him at 501 in that league right after taking Tyler Warren.
40:37I got him seventh round in a different league.
40:40Not really on purpose on on three of these teams.
40:43I also have Brenton strange. No, I think that's wrong.
40:46Two of these teams. I also have Brenton strange where again, you're compelled to roster multiple tight ends, but it's interesting.
40:53I never would have believed it. I didn't. I wasn't aware of it.
40:58If you had asked me half an hour ago before I did this exercise, hey, who's going to wind up on this list?
41:05Who's the most owned player? There's no way in the world I knew it was Sam Laporta.
41:11I did not super care about getting Sam Laporta.
41:14Like I just, you know, I, I, all I can tell you is I just draft according to my board and he would fall and fall and fall.
41:23So pretty obvious if he bounces back from his injury wrecked 2025.
41:27I mean, remember when Sam Laporta was a second round pick two years ago?
41:32I guess he stinks now. If he plays like he did a couple of years ago, I guess I'll be pretty happy.
41:39We are sponsored by Raycon. I am recording today's show right this very moment using the everyday earbuds from Raycon.
41:46It's after Labor Day. It's the start of fall, the start of football and the school year for the kids.
41:52For me, it's time where my weekly schedule starts getting a lot more regular kind of a fall reset.
41:59If that's true for you or someone you love, the everyday earbuds can really help with that reset.
42:05They've got everything you need. Active noise cancellation, multipoint connectivity so you can pair two devices at once.
42:11Really, really comfortable. Tons of fun earbud colors. And the greatest point of all, other earbuds just cost too much.

42:42Get 20% off at buyraycon.com slash Harris. That's 20% off.
42:45Buyraycon.com slash Harris. Today's guest. Across the country where the Vikings play, he's from Minnesota.
42:50He will tell you about a special player that nobody knows.
42:54Harris, get ready. It is our great friend Scott Fish from Fantasy Cares and the Fish Bowl.
43:00And I'm so happy to have him on, even though it's the dumbest reason possible to have him on because week one
43:07waivers, which, you know, week one waivers, we're not going to suggest people probably make tons of moves.
43:13But I guess maybe it's good that we put some names in people's ears to pay attention to for week one.
43:20Hi, Scott. How are you? I am doing well.
43:23I'm doing well, my man. I got a list of some good guys to keep an eye on.
43:29Yeah. And, you know, if you told me that you drafted, I don't know, I'll actually ask you this before we get to some names.
43:37Like if you drafted Trey Benson accidentally, you could be dropping Trey Benson.
43:41He's not playing this year. If you drafted Alvin Kamara, would you consider dropping him before week one starts considering we know
43:49he's out for an indeterminate amount of time? Yep.
43:52Yep. Very possibly. Maybe you drafted Jordan Tyson before the news.
43:55I mean, he might be fine way later in the season, but yeah, there's lots of reasons.
44:01You might have a possible opening for week one.
44:04Right. And that's a great, that's, I love the way you phrase that because that's exactly right.
44:10Like I can't, people are always saying with the waiver segment, I'm so frustrated.
44:14You never tell me who to drop. And I go, buddy, I can't tell you who to drop because I don't know
44:22your league and I don't know your format. There are some, there are some formats where you absolutely should not be dropping Alvin Kamara.
44:30If you have deep benches and it was a long draft and don't draft him.
44:34I mean, don't drop him. I don't know. Like James Connor, some people may have taken and there's some leagues where you don't need to.
44:43And it's clear there's going to be lots of solutions on waivers and you can get rid of James Connor right now,
44:50but there's some where you should hold on to him.
44:53Um, I'm trying to think of other names like Isaiah Pacheco on IR.
44:58Go ahead. Sorry. Or yeah. Or I was just going to say, maybe you just have IR spots and you have moved
45:05to Pacheco or Tyson or Charbonnet to IR. So now you have an open spot.
45:10There you go. Yeah. So these are good players, um, to be thinking about doing that with, uh, I want to mention
45:17to you that through sheer force of, uh, kismet earlier in the show, the first time ever we've had a listener on
45:25the show because they won the pound foolish contest.
45:28And it was of all people, Greg Berthiume was on the show.
45:32Uh, and I know you, yeah, I know you know well, and you had no idea that was the case until just
45:39now, but he, he, he gave us a full minute on why people should go to fantasy cares.org.
45:45And to be honest, like this is a great time to go, even though Greg just said this, I'll just reemphasize.
45:52So Scott doesn't have to, if you go to fantasy cares.org and just in the next like 24 hours, there's still all
45:59these season long contests you can join and have a great time with and donate like minimum, like you don't donate whatever
46:06you want, like five bucks if you want to, and you get to be in these awesome contests.
46:12And I have to imagine you have a lot of folks in those contests.
46:17We do, we do. We have hundreds of folks in each of them at this point, but, uh, they, yeah, they're fun.
46:24They're fun ones. Thank you so much for mentioning.
46:27Yeah. Fantasy cares.org. You got to go there and check it out.
46:31Um, we talked about players you might drop, and there are probably plenty of other examples that you might drop when you drop them.
46:39Of course, Scott, you know that we give them the Thursday boot.
46:43It's time again this year. Thursday boot is back sponsoring us here in the waiver segment.
46:48You can go to thursday boots.com, get yourself an awesome pair of boots for the fall.
46:54They are truly amazing boots. Like I have still pairs that I've worn for a dozen, almost a dozen years since they've
47:01been sponsoring the show for so, so long. So thursday boots.com big recommend for me.
47:06So this is partly you could add guys and partly just to talk about guys that you and I have our heads around.
47:14Like we're thinking about as we go into week one, we'll have a quicker trigger finger when it comes to them if they do good after week one.
47:23So we'll count them down five through one. Scott, who's your number five waiver ad for week one?
47:29Yeah, I'm going with for this one. I'm going to start.
47:33I'm going to start with Caleb Johnson. I have a bunch of honorary mentions that are really, really close to him.
47:40There's a non-zero chance Marshawn Lloyd is, you know, gets hurt because he's always hurt.
47:45He barely has any carries or touches in the last three, four years.
47:49And, you know, a lot of people like Caleb Johnson coming out.
47:53I was okay on him. He looked not great last year, but there's a non-zero chance he becomes part of that split or takes it at some point.
48:02And I don't expect Josh Jacobs back anytime soon.
48:05I can't hurt to, to put him on the very back end of your roster.
48:10Do you have any other Packer eligible Packer running backs on your list?
48:14I don't. Okay. I, I just want to say that because I, I will later.
48:19Let's just a little tease. I will have the other guy later.
48:23Yeah. I thought about him. He's, he's on the LA.
48:27He's on the honorary mention. I chose Caleb slightly over him, but I, okay.
48:31And, and obviously we just don't know. We don't know how the Packers are going to deploy these guys at all.
48:38So I'm going to be a lot later on the other guy.
48:42I should mention if there are folks who are listening to this segment for the first time, my rule for this segment
48:50is we're looking at players that are owned in 33% of Yahoo leagues or fewer.
48:55So Marshawn Lloyd isn't going to make the list because he's drafted much, much more.
49:00But these two backups, presumptive backups. We don't really know who the backup is or who the starter is.
49:06We're going to find out against the Vikings. My number five, I'll give you a Terrence Ferguson.
49:11I talked about him already earlier in the show.
49:14And I just want to keep an eye. It's going to be a nice national game for us to, international game, considering
49:22it's in Australia, for us to look at and see if any of the buzz has carried over.
49:28I raved about him in the Almanac. I, you know, for a, for a very low sample size player, he definitely made an impression on film last year.
49:37I can't see my way through to using him, even on the deeper league teams where I drafted him just these past few weeks.
49:45But he's a second tight end in some deep bench leagues that I have.
49:50And I could watch it and feel like I want to change my mind at some point.
49:55Yep. Absolutely. Absolutely. I, that's the first time I think I've ever heard you throw a tight end on this list of five.
50:03That's just simply not true. It's slander. Everybody knows how much, how much I love the tight end.
50:09I just love them so much. Uh, I almost said the tight end position and then I would have had to put
50:16myself in the penalty box for, for five minutes.
50:19Cause the, the, the, the blank position is not something that we need to be saying.
50:24All right. Anyway, number four on your list of week one waiver ads.
50:29I went with a guy who may just end up being his team's wide receiver one, uh, especially early in the season.
50:36I don't know how much I, I love him.
50:39I like coming out. I thought he'd have explosive plays here in that here, you know, every once in a while it's Trey talker for the, uh, Raiders.
50:48Uh, he, it seems like he's clearly won the one role.
50:52Uh, Jalen Naylor has been pretty disappointing there. This is a team that's going to be down a lot and maybe have to take those shots.
51:01That's again, these are players that you're not like, nobody's really drafting, but there's a chance that he is your number, the number one on that team.
51:10And you know, he might just get enough volume, especially early in the season as he roll is that number one role.
51:17My number four is Trey Tucker of the Vegas Raiders, 27% rostered.
51:21We not only picked the same guy, we actually had him in the same spot.
51:26Um, you know, me, I'm going to have to stop you and say they're going to be down big and trailing.
51:33You don't know that. I don't know that. Nope.
51:36Nobody knows that. You're right. You know, you know, I'm going to yell at you for that.
51:41But, um, of course agree. You know, the, the only returning member of that receiving core who was any good at all
51:49last year was Trey Tucker and he wasn't great, but he was good.
51:53And that was with Gino and there's a chance Kirk cousins can make him a little more interesting.
51:59I don't think it's a great offense, but it has a lot of college all-stars.
52:04It has a lot of pieces. We get surprised all the time.
52:08We have to be open-minded to the idea that the Raiders just better than we expect.
52:13They spent a lot of money on their offensive line.
52:17Who knows? Hope springs eternal. And I, I don't know if the Raiders will have a traditional number one as it were, but sure.
52:25The guy who's really fast and like theoretically could do other stuff too is interesting.
52:29Sure. I'm with you. Yeah, absolutely. We wound up with the same guy at number four.
52:35Who's your number three? Uh, number three. Now this is when I go to like super upside cause these are late round, possibly not drafted guys.
52:43I feel like they're drafted in most of mine, but, uh, Cyrus Allen, Kansas city chiefs.
52:49Uh, the lot of, a lot of hype and talk about him, even from coaching staff and my homes.
52:55Uh, we will see how those situations in Casey turn out.
52:59If, uh, if those players, uh, you know, come back and are true to form, I, I just have never had the hugest faith in, uh, Xavier worthy.
53:08Uh, I think Cyrus Allen eventually could find himself, uh, in, in a role in that offense.
53:14And it does seem like they've trusted him in preseason, but we will, we will find out it's, it's, you know, it's a shot.
53:22Agree. I didn't make my list, but that's a really good notion.
53:26It's, it's, it's a special, like if this list is kind of the guys that we want to pay special attention to
53:33list, definitely like the unheralded rookie who I, you know, like I have a dynasty league that has five rounds of a
53:40rookie draft and Cyrus Allen was not well known enough at that point that he went in the top 60.
53:47So if that at least well-known enough to us in that league.
53:51So talk about the definition of a guy that you're like, Ooh, okay.
53:55Suddenly he's on my radar. That means the chiefs really might like him.
53:59And so who knows? Maybe he plays a bunch, uh, just the literal definition of someone you might want to pay attention to.
54:07It's a great one. Uh, I'll put another rookie at number three on my list.
54:12I put Kaylon black on the list, um, as the presumptive, not by any means certain McCaffrey handcuff.
54:18I'll tell you, if I am in a league where I drafted Christian McCaffrey and Kaylon black didn't go, I would do it today.
54:26I would find a way to do it because the, just the, the zero to a hundred range of Christian McCaffrey of,
54:33you know, the a hundred percent is just the most valuable thing you can get.
54:38But when he's hurt, it's just gone. Everything's just gone.
54:41And of course we've done this like had, I've been on so many shows.
54:46I've had so many people on, we've done this over and over.
54:50Guess what? It might not be a full, just one guy inherits the job.
54:55Yeah, I know. I'm aware. Everybody knows, but the dude who seems to have won that job and you know, given that
55:02nobody else on that roster, they've all been there and nobody else ever really had anything to do with replacing McCaffrey, I
55:09think Kaylon black should be rostered in leagues where if you have, if you have McCaffrey, absolutely.
55:15Number two. Uh, before that, Kaylon black was my six.
55:18I did. I Kaylon and Caleb. I, I really debated between.
55:22So he was like my first honorable mention. McCaffrey has missed most of the season the year after he had 400 touches both times.
55:30And he did that again last year. So like there's very real shot for Kaylon black.
55:35Um, my number two is again, these top three are just total dart shots that could be really, really effective for their teams.
55:43It's Chris bell, the Miami dolphins. Uh, you know, AJ Brown built could be an alpha, uh, alpha receiver for them.
55:50The, the inclination was that he would start the season on the PUP or, you know, be slow to work in, but
55:57he did not go on the PUP and he started practicing and, and playing with them, uh, over the last week and
56:04a half it's, it's possible he becomes their number one.
56:08Um, if you, a lot of people have Malik Willis as a sleeper, uh, there's, there's a non-zero chance.
56:14He is the, the breakout top receiving option down there.
56:17I mean, we'll see, but, uh, that, that's where I have it too.
56:22Okay. Yeah. Chris bell 5% rostered in Yahoo leagues dolphins rookie went lower than he probably would have gone because he was
56:29entering the draft process with a torn ACL spent this entire basic year rehabbing it.
56:34This, the presumption at this point is probably that he gets worked in slowly that he's not immediate, but we don't know anything.
56:42We know nothing about nothing. So I get it.
56:45Good name to keep an eye on my number two, the opposite of Chris bell.
56:50What's the opposite of Chris bell? It's Keenan Allen.
56:53Of course the exact opposite, uh, 29% rostered. My eldest son apparently is currently avoiding disciplinary problems for his DUI.
56:59And that'll probably come after he retires at the end of the year.
57:03Um, and you know, not that much needs to be said about Keenan Allen.
57:08He's, he's the opposite in that he's a purely known quantity, but Alec Pierce is probably going to play.
57:14It sounds like we'll keep updating over the course of the week.
57:18It sounds like Pierce will play. And so sure.
57:21I don't imagine Keenan Allen's going to be awesomely usable and rosterable all the time, but we get these things wrong all the time.
57:29And Alan is a pros pro and there's, there's five targets and 53 yards sitting out for him every week.
57:36If he is involved, he'll take it. He had 120 plus last year and people, people may or may not know, uh, listening.
57:44I'm sure they do with your, your show, but he was with head coach Shane Steichen for like six years, seven years, something like that.
57:52So this is a coach that knows him and knows how to use him.
57:57So I haven't given my number one. Everyone knows now if by the powers of deduction that the opossums are so adept
58:04in who my number one is, but who's your number one?
58:07Uh, my number one is a guy I was surprised was under the 33%.
58:12It's, it's who I believe is going to be that wide receiver too for the Baltimore Ravens.
58:18And that's Jacoby lane, just highlight reel after highlight reel in camp.
58:22Uh, the coaches and beat reporters talking like he's had the best camp they've seen in Ravers Ravens camp.
58:28Um, uh, I like to, we, do you remember back in the day joking about the breakfast club with, uh, Matthew Stafford
58:35and Cooper cup, and then Puka Nakua joining them.
58:38Well, Jacoby lane is my, uh, amusement park club because when he was in it, when he was in town with, uh,
58:46with the Ravens for joint practices with the Vikings, it was Lamar Jackson, uh, Zay flowers and Jacoby lane going to all
58:53the thing, like all the restaurants and the amusement parks and everything together as a threesome, which, uh, says something for chemistry.
59:00It really does. And, uh, Rashad Bateman, as we all know, has never really broken out former gopher there, but also he's
59:08got this, he's got some off the field stuff.
59:11That's a, that, that might be playing in here and lane might just be, might just be that number two in that
59:18Todd Munkin or in that, yeah, in that Todd Munkin is gone now, but in that offense, Declan Doyle.
59:24Yeah. Um, yes, sure. Yeah. I thought about them again, Alan, in Alan, bell and lane, you've given three great examples of
59:31players that, you know, is certainly in a deeper league.
59:35I think they're probably rostered cause they're all kind of subject to various hype.
59:39They've been hyped. It's funny by the, by the, by the law of, of camp hype of July and August hype, they
59:47got hyped for so long that people got tired of them.
59:50It could be, you know, like they peaked and now people are like, Oh, well, you know, originally I thought he was
59:58going to lead the NFL in catches and now maybe not.
60:01So I'm not as excited, you know, but they're great examples of guys.
60:06I'm weirdly more excited for his, his red zone prowess to Kobe lanes, but yeah, that's cool.
60:11All right. Well, we'll keep an eye on it.
60:14And my number one is Chris Brooks. He's 2% rostered late lane.
60:18We mentioned he's 20% rostered. Um, and I hope you didn't crash your car in writing these down because they're all in today's show notes.
60:26I got to get, I got to get reps in.
60:30I got to remember to tell people not to crash their car before they do it by writing all these names down.
60:37Um, yeah, the, your logic with Caleb Johnson is exactly my logic with Chris books.
60:42The difference being, I know Brooks can play. I have no idea if Caleb Johnson can play.
60:48I think in a K in a chaotic situation, the guy who's a really good pass blocker and who was there last
60:55year and played last year kind of feels like a default answer to me.
61:00I get that Lloyd pro I'm going to write.
61:03I'm about to do ranks for week one and Lloyd is going to be way ahead of Chris Brooks in the ranks,
61:10but Chris books is going to be ranked. So, uh, I'll, and I, I'm not sure Caleb will be because I don't
61:17know how you could possibly use him sight unseen week one when we think he might stink.
61:23Whereas, you know, Brooks probably stinks, but you know, in a more usable sort of way.
61:28Did you want to quickly run through the list of other honorable mentions you had?
61:33Uh, I've guys like, uh, Emmett Johnson, clear backup to Kenneth Walker.
61:37Um, I did have, I had Kaylin black. I had, you know, a dart throw on Kasha and booty who might be the number two there in Houston.
61:46I do want to see what George Helani does this week, but I think his window might already start be starting to
61:54close Ted Hurst out of Tampa Bay. There's a lot of injuries there.
61:58And this is, this is a six, three, two 15 guy that good radius.
62:03Okay. Speed, you know, that's, that's an interesting one with all the injuries there.
62:07I have several others, but that's, that's enough for now.
62:11Yeah. They're fun names to that. We talked about obviously all through draft season.
62:15We all did, you know, as we went on various shows and, uh, we'll see, you know, that's what's great about week
62:23one is our mind palaces are quite literally about to shatter.
62:26It's great. And some of these names will become must ads next week, but hopefully we've put some on the radar screen in advance.
62:34Uh, you can check out Scott all over social media.
62:37He's on, uh, all the places. Just look up Scott fish and go to fantasy cares.org and quickly do it, do it
62:45quickly because once the season starts, you can't do these fun like survivor leagues and one time use type leagues and, um, they're great.
62:53So, uh, go check out fantasy cares.org Scott. Thanks for doing it.
62:57Thank you so much, Chris. Thanks a lot. And thank you so much for listening.
63:02Let me thank the three sponsors that made today's show possible.
63:05We had Lisa for a wonderful mattress, AG one for a nutritional drink that makes my stomach feel so much better.
63:12And, uh, we had Raycon for the earbuds that I interviewed Scott with and interviewed Greg with, and I'm wearing right, right now.
63:20They are just as good as all the big brands and they cough cost half as much.
63:26So if you're interested in those, any of them, the information is in today's show notes.
63:31All the current sponsors are listed at harrisfootball.com. When you use the codes and URLs, I'm not earning a cut.
63:38It's not commission, but they do check and see how frequently people use the codes.
63:42And when they do, that's what makes them keep coming back.
63:46I appreciate how much ownership you do take of the show.
63:50If you'd like to get a copy of pound foolish, if it was on your list, this is kind of the last
63:57moment where you can help toward being a bestseller because starting next week, it's just weekly sales and we're not going to
64:04win when it comes to weekly sales, but you could buy a copy, especially at bookshop.org.
64:10If you do it today, Tuesday, the 8th, this very moment, it will help, uh, to maybe get us on a list for tomorrow.
64:18Um, my guess is no, but what the heck?
64:21Give it a shot. That would be lovely. And that's going to do it for this Tuesday episode.
64:27I hope you had fun coming up on Wednesday in the Yacht Club.
64:31Andy and I are going to talk about week one ranks and changes probably between our season long ranks, the draft ranks
64:38that we've been dealing with and what we changed for week one.
64:42A lot of it will be uncertainty over injuries, but it'll be a fun conversation.
64:47And then we'll be back here on Thursday. We're going to have a rare flexual healing section because I don't really do
64:54that as much anymore with the schedule the way it is, but for one week, we'll do a flexual healing and some
65:02other stuff too on Thursday as well. Until then, thanks again so much for listening.
65:07Your hat is awesome. You're awesome for wearing it.
65:10I will talk to you next time. The Harris football podcast opening theme is under the gun by Apex Manor.
