PodcastNFL Touchdown Show | Week 4October 1, 2026

From the episode

Marcus Mariota, it's not that much of a drop-off as much as we think when it comes to him and Jane Daniels...Mariota is very serviceable as a thrower.

STACKED’s take

NeutralRole

Mariota serviceable as starter; not major drop-off from Daniels in passing.

Marcus Mariota is starting for Washington in Week 4 vs. Indianapolis. Sean Koerner notes that Mariota is not that much of a drop-off from Jaylen Daniels as commonly perceived when it comes to throwing ability; while he would still prefer Daniels, Mariota is very serviceable as a thrower and the offense is doing not terrible with him at the helm.
