Yahoo Fantasy Football on Tyler Allgeier
From the article
Playing in back-to-back games without Jeremiyah Love (ankle) should have opened the door for Tyler Allgeier, who signed a two-year, $12.250 million contract this offseason, to have a decent two weeks. Instead, Allgeier narrowly out-snapped backup Bam Knight 78 to 75 over that span, but it was Knight who led the backfield with 20.5 PPR points to Allgeier's 13.7.
STACKED’s take
Allgeier's 2.2 YPC and backup Bam Knight's superior production make him unreliable without Love.
Despite signing a two-year, $12.25 million contract this offseason, Allgeier has underperformed in back-to-back games without Jeremiah Love (ankle). Over that span, Allgeier narrowly out-snapped backup Bam Knight 78 to 75 but scored only 13.7 PPR points to Knight's 20.5. Allgeier averaged a paltry 2.2 YPC on 26 carries with a long run of seven yards, while Knight ranked third in missed tackles forced (31.8 percent) and second in yards after contact per attempt (4.45). In goal-to-go situations, Knight has earned five opportunities to Allgeier's three, and Knight leads the backfield with seven targets. Even if Love remains sidelined, Allgeier will be hard to trust as anything more than a boom-or-bust RB3.
