From the episode

George Kittle balled out. So with Jake Tongass out for season, I was hopeful that George Kittle would be like a full-time tight end. Kittle ended up running 14 routes on 25 Purdy dropbacks. They used Luke Farrell in a version of the Jake Tongass role.

STACKED’s take

Positive signalUsage

Kittle scored 80 yards and TD but shared snaps with Luke Farrell.

Kittle posted 4 catches for 80 yards and 1 TD on 14 routes run on 25 Purdy dropbacks. With Jake Tongass out for the season, Kittle was expected to see full-time work, but the 49ers also used Luke Farrell in a Tongass-like role. Kittle looked good and may see more snaps in closer games.
