The Long View Podcast on Garrett Wilson

Gonzalez's coverage limited Wilson; Cooper thrived in same game as clear number-two option.

Garrett Wilson faced coverage from Christian Gonzalez in a recent game, with the source noting that many evaluators believe Gonzalez's presence on the field significantly impacted Wilson's production. However, the source argues that Omar Cooper thrived in this same matchup, suggesting that while Wilson may see reduced volume against elite cornerback coverage, the Jets' offense can still generate production through their number-two receiver. The source uses this as evidence that Cooper's role as a clear number-two option is valuable even when the primary receiver faces shutdown coverage.
