Johnson's 73-yard TD and 128 yards promising but limited route share tempers expectations.

Johnson erupted in Week 8 with five catches for 128 yards and a touchdown through the air, plus 15 yards on his lone carry. He gashed the Broncos for Patrick Mahomes' longest completion since 2021 (73-yard TD). However, he only ran 11 routes and Kenneth Walker still saw five targets, so this was far from a takeover of the passing-catching role. Johnson's explosive Week 8 should earn him more touches going forward, but he remains largely a contingent bet for now.
