Washington still couldn't get anything going running inside either. She had eight carries inside the 10-yard line, and they went for nine total yards.
STACKED’s take
Benched in Week 8; round-2 pick now faces committee role if trend continues.
Was benched in Week 8 with unclear long-term implications for his role. Mike Washington received 25 carries and 14 touches before Jeanty saw the field, while Jeanty had only 2 carries. Ryan Heath does not trust Clint Kubiak's claim that the benching was non-disciplinary. Jeanty did contribute 4 targets, 3 catches, and 64 receiving yards, suggesting he may retain pass-catching work. However, if the benching sticks, Jeanty transforms from a round-2 draft pick into a committee back with significantly reduced fantasy value. Washington struggled with efficiency, posting 8 carries for 9 yards inside the 10-yard line with no touchdowns—similar to Jeanty's red-zone struggles—suggesting the offensive line remains the limiting factor rather than the running back.
