PodcastWeek 5 Hangover: CJ Stroud is "f***ing awesome"October 13, 2026

From the episode

he can go full field and he gets through everything...the processing really jump out in a way that is impressive for a guy that is young...he makes enough explosive throws that it's like, even if that there are things left on the table, he does enough for you that you want to see it through.

Penix's arm talent and processing show promise despite developmental concerns.

Penix demonstrates strong full-field processing and arm talent; he can go full field through progressions, makes explosive throws, and doesn't put the ball in harm's way very much, which gives him a runway to develop despite some limitations; he makes enough explosive plays that there's reason to see it through.
