Yahoo Sports NFL on Brian Thomas Jr.

Thomas creates spacing for Jaguars' other receivers; his absence could compact defenses.

Thomas' value to the Jaguars extends beyond his individual receiving production; the team uses him to create space for fellow receivers like Parker Washington and Jakobi Meyers. A high-ranking NFC executive noted that if the Jaguars trade him, they lose speed and defenses play more compact, making it harder for other receivers. This spacing value may explain why the Jaguars are reluctant to move him despite his 10 catches for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns in 7 games.
