STACKED’s take
Rice's projection peaks with monster 28.75 team total vs. weak Jets WR defense.
Rice is the WR21 on WR39 usage with a 19% target share and 6.3 targets per game in his four healthy games, finishing between WR12 and WR32 in all of them. The good news is Xavier Worthy's threat has closed based on tape and Travis Kelce's YAC production has stalled, making Rice needed again despite Kenneth Walker III's presence. The Jets have been particularly weak against shallow WRs, allowing the eighth-most production on throws within 10 air yards; role players Caleb Douglas (WR8) and Pop Douglas (WR10) balled out in recent games. Kansas City enters with a monster 28.75-point team total, and Rice's projection is looking the best it has all year. Projected for 59.5 receiving yards vs. NYJ in Week 9.
