Yahoo Sports NFL on Chimere Dike

Dike's elite return metrics would rank among 49ers' all-time best.

Dike is proposed as a potential trade target for the 49ers to address their receiver and returner needs. The source notes that Dike has 94 kickoff returns in his season and a half with the Titans at 25.7 yards per return, which would rank second in 49ers history (Super Bowl era) behind only Vic Washington. For punt returns, Dike has 34 with 15.7 yards per return, which would be the best in 49ers history (Super Bowl era). The source states: 'If San Francisco does pull the trigger, Dike would become one of the best returners in 49ers history on day one if he continues his pace he's shown in Tennessee.'
