Garoppolo's trade deadline spark led 49ers from 1-10 to five straight wins and a Super Bowl run.

Acquired by the 49ers in a 2017 trade deadline deal (costing a 2018 second-round pick), Garoppolo made his debut in Week 12 following a lower-body injury to starter C.J. Beathard and led San Francisco to five straight wins to close the season after the team started 1-10. He was extended on a five-year deal that February and helped the 49ers make the playoffs in three of his six seasons, including a Super Bowl appearance in 2019; he holds the fourth-best win percentage (.691) by a San Francisco quarterback in franchise history.
