Waddle's inefficient usage and low ceiling offer little reason for optimism against Panthers.

Despite growing optimism in the fantasy community, Waddle's production has been underwhelming. He caught a touchdown in Week 8 against the Chiefs (just his second of the year) but finished with only three catches for 39 yards, marking his sixth-straight game with fewer than six catches and fewer than 50 receiving yards. His only truly impressive outing came in Week 2 against the Jaguars (a major pass-funnel defense) with eight catches for 138 yards on 10 targets; he had just 138 receiving yards in his other six games combined entering Week 8. He's averaging just 39.4 yards per game on the season and the fourth-fewest yards per target (6.2) among all wideouts with 50+ targets, with no game over 14 fantasy points in the last six weeks. His floor and ceiling are concerningly low against the Panthers, even with injuries to their starting cornerbacks.
