Big Blue View on J.J. McCarthy

McCarthy elevated to QB1 conversation after explosive Texans win; needs consistency vs. Fangio.

McCarthy has catapulted himself into the 'QB1 conversation' after an electric 11-minute performance against New Orleans and a game full of explosive plays against Houston. The source notes he will have two more weeks in the Giants' offense and more practice time with starters, plus healthier offensive line support from Andrew Thomas and Jermaine Eluemunor. However, his passing success rate ranked 25th out of 25 qualifying quarterbacks against the Texans, indicating he must improve consistency on intermediate passes to sustain success against Fangio's Eagles defense.
