Mahomes' last top-10 fantasy finish was in 2023 and his last top-five finish was the year before that. His weapons remain questionable, at best; Travis Kelce is aging, and long gone are the days when Tyreek Hill would take the top off of defenses for him. He's also, y'know, coming back from a torn ACL! While he's been cleared to return to practice and is planning on starting Week 1, it will likely be some time before his full mobility returns.

Weapons are questionable—Travis Kelce is aging, Tyreek Hill is gone—and he's returning from a torn ACL with reduced mobility. He's openly acknowledged wanting to run less (good for health, bad for fantasy) and the Chiefs plan to lean more on Kenneth Walker III in the backfield. Ben Johnson.
