Waived by the Patriots after his road to the 53-man roster became blocked following the signing of veteran fullback Reggie Gilliam to a three-year free-agent contract. Lampe, a second-year fullback, had shown promise during his rookie offseason with first-team reps, but a season-ending injury suffered in late July 2025 derailed his roster candidacy, and beating out the veteran Gilliam in training camp was never realistic.
