I also think that there's just no way that Luther Burden can have the role that he did last year. He won't be used that way. So then a lot of the kind of per route stuff is going to change and everything.

STACKED’s take

Positive signalProjection

Burden won't repeat rookie role; red-zone target share was 8% vs. Loveland/Dunze's 20%+.

Luther Burden will not maintain his rookie role; he won't be used the same way this season. In the red zone, when Colson Loveland and Roma Dunze had over 20% target share, Burden was at only 8%, and 30% of his targets were screens. He's unlikely to get the same easy-button touches and creative touch stuff that made him productive as a rookie, especially as Caleb Williams improves and the offense normalizes. His upside is limited compared to Dunze and Loveland in the red zone.
