Can he thrive as a true wide receiver one right away? cuz we really didn't even see him do that at Ohio State and now we're expecting him to kind of step into this role in Tennessee. I'm not saying he can't. He's obviously a very very talented wide receiver. I do think he will be their number one receiver, and I do think he'll he'll have success, but you know, am I going to draft him? Probably not.

Talented rookie likely to be WR1, but didn't prove it at Ohio State; Dell competition.
Tate is a talented rookie WR who will likely be Tennessee's number one receiver, but the source is skeptical of drafting him. Tate didn't establish himself as a true WR1 at Ohio State and now faces competition from Kelvin Ridley (professional), Juan Dell (paid heavily), and Eliam Maner (solid last year). While Tate has shown good vibes in OTAs and training camp with football intelligence, the source views him as probably not a good pick unless he generates significant touchdown upside, given Dell will scoop up underneath targets.
