McDaniel's Deebo role fits Johnston's YAC skills despite poor separation.

Mike McDaniel is 'drooling over' Quentin Johnston as his Deebo Samuel-lite, comparing him to Julio Jones and Andre Johnson. Johnston led all wide receivers in missed tackles forced per reception last year and was a YAC god in college. Though he ranks dead last in air yards since entering the league and can't separate, the Deebo role—which never required elite separation—suits his skill set perfectly.
