Ron Stewart on Garrett Wilson
VideoEvery Injured Player Is 'Ahead of Schedule' Right Now (Don't Believe It)Captured August 1, 2026
From the video

he had a bit of a hyperextension injury, which can range from very mild sprain to complete ligament damage. Everything that I've seen on Wilson from that has been more on the more mild side...I've been drafting him as normal this offseason. I think he'll be fine and I think he'll be good to go entering training camp, entering week one.
STACKED’s take
Positive signalInjury
Mild hyperextension injury; expected to be ready for training camp and week one.
Wilson suffered a hyperextension injury (not an ACL tear) that appears mild based on available information. The Jets shut him down cautiously with Brady Cook at QB, but there is no rush to return. The source is drafting him as normal this offseason and expects him to be fine entering training camp and week one.
