Luther Burton, I know everybody wants to look at the yards per route run data. Um, he was at the very top of the NFL in yards per route run at 2.92... he didn't get on the field. You have Lovelind, you have Roma Dunce, you have DJ... Luther Burden is the wide receiver 25. If you look at similar rookie seasons to Luther Burden, like it's not great the historical hit rates that we have.
STACKED’s take
WR25 with elite YPRR but limited field time; poor historical comps for year-two breakout.
Led NFL in yards per route run at 2.92 as rookie but limited field time; competing with Rome Odunze, DJ Moore for targets; Caleb Williams already very good with limited room for improvement. Ranked WR25 on Underdog. Historical comps (Rome Odunze, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Rashad Bateman, Jalen Dossan, Cadarius Toney, Trayon Burks, Dobson) show poor hit rates for similar rookie seasons; best historical jump was Rome Odunze. Puka Uno expects market to overweight based on yards per route run and late-season performance, similar to Marvin Mims and Gabe Davis overdraft in prior year. Uno ranks him WR25 out of respect for talent, offense, and rookie status, but doesn't believe he can sustain top-24 ranking.
