I said on the show, I just recorded actually, but like someone like Chris Rodriguez, I actually care a lot more about him in best ball than I do in season long. I don't I don't want a guy who I know more than likely, you know, 90 percent outcome is more than likely not going to be much of a pass catcher or like a huge league winner. But he can definitely beat costs and he can definitely get work and it might be unpredictable work.

STACKED’s take

Negative signalValue

Rodriguez more valuable in best ball; unpredictable work is less risky.

JJ Zachariason cares significantly more about Chris Rodriguez in best ball than in season-long formats because Rodriguez can beat his cost and generate unpredictable work without the downside of being a pass-catcher or league-winner in season-long. In best ball, the unpredictability is less of a concern since the best score is used automatically.
