Despite finishing as WR28 in points per game and propelling teams early before hurting them down the stretch, Egbuka was drafted in the sixth-plus round and finished as an above-average pick by fantasy points over replacement; he outperformed other receivers in his draft range (Ricky Pearsall, Jerry Jeudy, Matthew Golden, Jayden Reed, Chris Godwin) and was above Stefon Diggs, Jauan Jennings, and Deebo Samuel in FPOR. The source notes that while the way he ended his season left a sour taste, he was a good wide receiver pick in his range, not a bust. He started his rookie season on a Ja'Marr Chase/Puka Nacua trajectory with 20.5 points per game through his first five games and amazing per-route metrics, but his production collapsed after he and Baker Mayfield were banged up and the Buccaneers fell from MVP-conversation contention to missing the playoffs, with final per-route metrics deteriorating significantly: 11.5 points per game, 1.75 yards per route run, poor first downs per route run, and poor PFF grade.
