Fantasy Football Today on Jordan Mason

Jordan Mason at running back 41. And Jordan Mason is potentially a starting running back that we don't really talk about a lot. But the reports seem to indicate, Jamie, that we're going to have a nice role for Jordan Mason this year. What do you like about him? And he's going 123rd overall. That's round 11. When would you take Jordan Mason? I would probably look for him as early as round 9, which is kind of where Aaron Jones is going. He's going ahead of Jordan Mason right now. And like you said, the reports, again, nothing official from the team. But the guys that cover the team are saying it should be Jordan Mason. This is a guy that averages five yards per carry for his career, was great last season in the three games that Aaron Jones missed early in the season. Then Jones missed some time later in the season. But he's the better rusher right now. Aaron Jones is 31 years old. He just doesn't look like the same guy. I think if you're looking at it, Jones the better pass catcher. Jordan Mason does not profile as a guy that's going to be fantastic catching the ball in the backfield. And I think when you look at it as, okay, what can we do to take pressure off of Kyler Murray and maybe get a few extra yards? That's where Jordan Mason, I think, has a little bit of an edge over Aaron Jones. So this isn't a game-breaking type of guy. There was one of the beat writers for the Vikings that projected 1,100 rushing yards and nine touchdowns for Jordan Mason. If you're getting that at this cost, it's unbelievable. But I think you can get a guy that can get you 800 to 1,000 yards rushing depending on exactly what his role is and how many games Aaron Jones may miss. But he should be a guy that works at the goal line.
