STACKED’s take
Murray's 1.2 passing TDs per game and middle-field inefficiency make him a poor fantasy QB.
Speaker expresses terror about Kyler Murray as a quarterback, stating he is not a very good NFL quarterback. Vegas has his passing TD line at 17.5 (incredibly low), and over his last four seasons he averaged 1.2 passing TDs per game. He doesn't target the middle of the field often and is inefficient when he does. Missed significant time in the majority of seasons over the last five years, creating real chance of injury and potential JJ McCarthy starts. People point to his 2020 season with DeAndre Hopkins as evidence of his ability, but that was six years ago before the NFL figured him out and before Cliff Kingsbury was fired after defenses ate his lunch.
