Yahoo Fantasy Football on Malachi Fields

Fields' size and upside are limited by depth-chart positioning and scheme adjustment.

Rookie third-rounder Fields brings good size (6'5"/218) and could at some point push Slayton or Mooney for snaps. However, he's a fifth-year prospect who saw production drop (36-630-5) in his final year when he transferred to Notre Dame to a heavier scheme, though he averaged a career-best 17.5 YPR there. He'll likely open the season as a depth piece with a chance to contribute in the second half.
