McConkey's second-year regression erases with McDaniel's scheme and a healthy Chargers line.

McConkey looked like a superstar in the second half of his rookie year and deserves a pass for his disappointing second season, which was hampered by stale play-calling, a congested target tree, and an injury-ravaged offensive line. The line is now healthy, downfield targets are more consolidated with Keenan Allen not expected back, and new OC Mike McDaniel arrives to orchestrate plays. McDaniel previously schemed 4,624 passing yards from Tua Tagovailoa three years ago. Scott Pianowski has made McConkey his most proactive pick of the Chargers group so far in draft season, ahead of Justin Herbert or Omarion Hampton optimism.
