Jared projects Brooks as a clear lead back in Carolina by October if healthy, pluggable as an RB2 with upside in fantasy lineups. Brooks' college production at Texas was elite: 114 rushing yards per game, 6.1 yards per carry, 2.5 receptions per game, 29 receiving yards per game. At 216 pounds, he's a three-down back skill set in a good situation where Chuba Hubbard underperformed last year (ranked 41st or worse in yards per carry, rush yards over expected, yards after contact, and missed tackles forced among 51 RBs with 90+ carries). The big-time upside case centers on his receiving ability (2.5 catches per game at Texas), and this could end up being an all-time injury comeback given Dave Canales' track record with running backs (Bucky Irving, Chuba Hubbard, Rico Dael all produced at RB1 level under Canales).
