Jaylen Warren uh sort of the incumbent back and a player that I've liked over the years...he has been a really good running back throughout his career...a really good running back here, like elusiveness after contact...a really really great pass catcher...I simply want Jaylen Warren because I think he's safer number one and I think he provides more upside...Warren would have had like 100 receptions last year...He had nearly a,000 rushing yards in in sort of a split situation.

Rodgers' checkdown guy with 100-catch upside if targets consolidate
Incumbent back in Pittsburgh with hyperefficiency in the run game and elite pass-catching ability with excellent elusiveness after contact. Despite never profiling as a primary early-down back, Warren is safer and provides more upside than Rico Dowel. Aaron Rodgers' checkdown tendencies position Warren as the primary beneficiary in the Packers backfield; he accumulated 958 rushing yards on 211 carries last year in a split situation with Kenneth Gainwell, but if Rodgers concentrates running back targets to one player as he has historically done, Warren's target volume could spike dramatically—the source estimates he could have had 100 receptions had targets been consolidated. Warren is the preferred value play over Gainwell because Rodgers—not Mike McCarthy—will ultimately drive fantasy production, and Rodgers has familiarity with Warren; while Rodgers unexpectedly embraced Gainwell last year despite no prior history, Warren's existing rapport with the quarterback makes him the safer target. Projected to beat his ADP in McCarthy's offense.
