Yahoo Fantasy Football on George Kittle
From the article
George Kittle has been the best TE in football the last couple of years, but how much of that can continue a year after a torn achilles as a 32-year-old?... there is probably more injury downside than injury upside given how quick this timeline to return is.
STACKED’s take
Kittle's elite efficiency masks low volume; injury downside outweighs upside.
Kittle was the best TE in football the last couple of years but faces durability questions a year after a torn Achilles as a 32-year-old. He was TE1 in EPA per target, completion percentage over expected, yards per target, and success rate from 2024-2025, leading to a TE4 finish on TE9 usage. His 16% target share is not that of an elite tight end, so any dip in efficiency hits harder. Over the past two seasons he averaged 6.1 targets and 10.5 yards per target; if those dip to 5.0 targets and 8.5 yards per target, he'd be around 45 yards per game instead of 65, landing him on the TE1/2 fringe. There is probably more injury downside than upside given the quick timeline to return.
